Cafe Girasole

Wonderful! Great service… friendly and helpful. Owner came over and spent time (10min, and it was busy!) telling us all about the area,. Huge menu. Panini was the best! Blueberry grilled cheese! To die for! Large portions and Yummy! Bacon, havarti, blueberries, berry aioli on sourdough. Amazing! Make it a destination.

This place is one of my favorite places to go to. The atmosphere is awesome the food is awesome and the service is awesome.

Delicious and artfully crafted fresh food. Plenty filling. Sandwiches came with a nice salad with their fantastic house dressing. Don’t sit facing the dessert case unless you are prepared to partake in one of the tempting treats. Service friendly and fast.

Absolutely a favorite lunch spot in Gardnerville. When ever we drive by we do our best to stop here. They staff is the sweetest and the food so yummiest. Don’t miss the curry soup.

My sister always took me here when I lived in the area. Everything on the menu is good! I love their soups and sandwiches. The salad they give with the sandwich is great, the sauce is crack. If you get the chance try it!

It’s tough to find something new (and awesome) to say about Café Girasole that hasn’t already been said by others. It’s a fantastic lunch spot from the flavored water to the delicious lunches to the amazing desserts.
Every meal is made deliciously and something that is amazing is they are super willing to substitute and in today’s day and age that is a big deal!

Amazing. Only word needed. Try every sandwich and wrap until you find your favorite. Cannot go wrong.

This place is my favorite in town. I love that their menu is healthy. They obviously have the best in town. I fell in love. Even their salad was amazing. I very highly highly recommend.

Slightly pricey, but this is my favorite place to go for fresh, delicious food! The only issue is the actual dining area is very small and cramped. They could use a bigger place.

I stopped by yesterday at 2PM to find a full house. This being my first time I was sort of surprised to see it so busy. After dealing with the great staff and a killer bowl of curry soup and the giant Iron Mike vegie sammich I can see why.
oh and that Marion Berry dressing… wow. not your normal vinegar-​y salad dressing. Smokie and delicious.

While in town I was thinking about sandwiches for lunch and I looked up a sandwich place nearby. Well low and behold I found a 5 star place located right here in town! Well I had to try it, no question. We found this cute little Café and when we walked in we were told to take a seat anywhere we could find. It was a bit busy when we first arrived but thinned out as the lunch crowd diminished. One of the waitresses brought us some menus but they also have everything on large chalkboards on the wall. I was craving a good veggie sandwich and they actually had two choices. I opted for the Iron Mike and hubby got the Ponderosa Wrap. As you can see in my photos these are fresh made with fresh ingredients and look and taste fabulous. The service was great and the cute Café atmosphere was perfect for a nice afternoon of iced tea and sandwiches. So glad we stopped in here and if you are ever in the area you need to come check this place out. Homemade soups, wraps, panini, sandwiches, tea and coffee drinks with friendly service and smiles they have it all. They even have an outside seating area for those nice spring/​fall afternoons. The Italian translation for Girasole is Sunflower and it fits perfectly you certainly leave with a bright smile and outlook on the day… at least I did.

This is place has one of the best lunches, the best panini, I have ever had. The Marcello panini is great, and the desert too, very reasonable price 8.95 for panini w small salad. Definitely coming back next time I’m in town

Café Girasole is awesome! We are staying in nearby Minden for a work event and my husband found this restaurant on Unilocal.We are vegetarians and this part of the world is really meat & potatoes! Happily we got our veggie fix here, though there are a lot of options for carnivores as well.
Food quality is top notch. Over the course of both visits we tried the Iron Mike sandwich, Sweetwater wrap, and the Curry Sweet Potato soup and Black Bean Soup. Everything was amazing — fresh and creative. We loved the house-​made marionberry salad dressing so much we wished they sold it in bottles!
The service is very fast and friendly. The servers even recognized us on the second visit and remembered our drink orders. As out of towners, that was especially impressive! We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area!

Holy McMoly! We’re in town for one day, and were told that we’d like this little place. Like doesn’t even start to cover it! Everything is fresh, delicious, reasonably priced, and served with a smile.
My Iron Mike sandwich was served on a wholesome whole wheat, and at almost two inches tall contained peanut butter, thinly-​sliced red onion, julienned carrots, cucumber, sprouts, mixed greens, Havarti cheese, and perfectly ripened avocado. It was a wonderful combination of guilt-​free flavors, and was enhanced by the refreshing cucumber-​lemon infused water.
If you’re anywhere close by, stop in. If you have to make this charming little restaurant a destination, stop in! You won’t be disappointed!
