Actually they got my 5 stars but I took off 1 star because the first time I tried their spring rolls it had something likes sands inside the spring rolls. However the rice soup is delicious and the broth is tasty. Would recommend to try their rice soup. Their coffee is so good but looks small though.

Being an OG, happy hour’n with some appetizers, beers and family and friends. Order #9 for a variety of pork sausages, intestines, liver, ear and more pork parts! Simply boiled and served with two different sauces. Fermented fish paste for the ones who love the stinky and salty. And ginger sweetened fish sauce which is my fave. Ordered by the pound, 2 lb was enough for people. Also had the duck salad. Steamed duck with cabbage slaw, peanuts and mixture of herbs. And served with sweetened ginger fish sauce on the side. Not essentially on the menu, normally served with bun mang vit(duck noodle soup with bamboo shoots). This food shop is def a mom and pop hole in the wall. And for the love of feasting with family and friends, this is it. We call that«nhau» in Vietnamese. Wish I could keep it a secret between my family and friends but it was too delicious and was so home comforting yumminess, couldn’t help it but to tell the world. Located in the food court of Cali Saigon. We byob’ed and hoped nobody would kick us out since there were signs everywhere: «no outside food and drinks»! Most of the food shops in this food court is cash only. Be prepared!

I was so ready for a bow Bun Mang Vit, I even order extra meat but when I saw my veggie plate w BUG, my mood just dropped, my appetite was gone! Since I was so in the mood for BMV, I ignore the warning sign and continued to eat the BMV without the veggie. Now at 4am in the morning, had been hugging the toilet bowl since 2.5hours. Threw up twice sofar and my tummy is grouching like MTF. It was my first, my last and will never ever come back to this place!

I’m so full right now that I could hardly write. Tried the duck noodle soup with bamboo as so many have been raving about. I was skeptical at first but the dish turned out to be pretty good. I would definitely come back again to try something else. The service was decent. I got my food in a decent amount of time. I also tried their coffee and it’s a little bitter for me. So is most of Vietnamese coffee. So many shops around here so I will come back again to try them all. On the plus side, lots of decent viet girls are here so the view is worth coming for unlike other establishments where you’d see old viet dudes sitting around puffing cigarettes and mad dogging people walking by.

I am a big fan of their Bun Bo Hue and their Bun Mang Vit is good too. The Flan their is of a thicker texture than La Me, but I like it too. Always very nice there. Bun Bo Hue is always good and I notice they switch to bigger bowls now so when I put herbs and veggies in there it is not overflowing like the other bowls before. They definitely give you a good portion their.

This place is truly authentic which is something I love about Cali Saigon mall. I couldn’t decide over the menu because I wanted all of them. The dishes served here aren’t typically served in a phở restaurant. I got the Bamboo duck noodle soup(Bun Mang Vit) which was flavorful and everything I ever wanted… Lol. I’m normally very particular about Vietnamese food but this one was still good. I also heard that the rice porridge was good here but haven’t gotten a chance to try it yet.

With the sort — of revival of the area, quality of the food here is up to pay again. I can eat here without worrying that the food is old or has been sitting around for several days. Just to be on the safe side, I would still stick to coming here during the weekends or busy hours. Still one of the best places for Chao long in the area!

I had the duck with bamboo noodle soup. It was absolutely terrible and a waste of money. I am Vietnamese and I know how this dish is supposed to be. They have used a BUNCH of MSG to cook the broth and I felt sick after eating here. I am fine with dishes cooked with a bit of MSG. But this plase should be avoided at any cost. I will Never come back!

If you’re talking the combo of freshness, taste, price, and friendliness then this has gotta be a 5. Situated in an indoor food court, you won’t be at a sit down waiter service type place but that isn’t what they go for here. They crush the aforementioned FTPF requirements. I had the Bun Bo Hue and absolutely had to include the pig’s foot simply because I hadn’t had one before. The owner knowingly said«maybe not the blood cake?» I laughed and said no thanks, I’ve had blood sausage and just not my thing. Fun guy, great food. Nice work!

I don’t know what most of these Unilocalers were eating. It’s no doubt that this place has tasty food. However, they use a WHOLEBUNCH of msg. We ate at this place twice and got the toilet treatment both times. We didn’t know what hit us the first time but we were sure the second time around. I have other friends that experienced the same thing. It’s not just one or two people but it’s almost everyone that I know. I hope they cut back the msg as they certainly can cook.

Banh Canh is a favorite of mine and it’s so hard to find a good place when my Mom doesn’t have the time to cook it herself. Mr. & Mrs. Chac are wonderful and always provide great service. I’ve known them since they had a restaurant in Plano and they always deliver great Vietnamese dishes. Their Spring Rolls are superb — always fresh and tasty. My Mom loves their Chao Vit and Chao Long and we tried their Phở, which isn’t bad either. Whenever I’m at Saigon Mall, I always stop for a visit.

This is at a food court so I’m going to rate their their food, not their services. Although, their service is great. The owner is always at the front and provide attentive services anyway. My favorite is the chao vit and the bun bo hue, my brother loves the bo kho there. Their chao long is also pretty good too. One time they close for about a month because the owner was on vacation, I stopped by another place in the food court(next to bambu I think) and ordered a chao long, it was beyond bad and will never go back there again. I think this place deserve a good rating because I’m a regular almost every sunday. A lot of time we want to try new things but figure this was a safer and better bet that the food was always good.

WOW! I had cravings for Chao so I Unilocaled this place and gave it a try. I got a Chao Ga(Chicken Congee Soup) and it was unbelievable! I mean you’ll get THE bang for your buck! The Chao was very good and they served the chicken on the side as a salad dish. You can choose to eat seperately or put them together. My friend also got a Bun Bo Hue and it was also VERY good. Overall I would come back in a heart beat. The only thing is that they’re in a food court so there is no atmosphere whatsoever. I’d still come and take things to go. PS: they only take cash though so come prepared.

This has to be one of my favorite place for bun bo que. No other place come close to Saigon style dishes than Chao Vit. I had eaten at least once everything on their menu and they are very consistent with their broth which is a biggest thing for classical Vietnamese dishes. The owner and his wife are very nice to every walking customer that goes there and it comes to show that they know what service is. I’ve been in the food service industry for over 10 years and I really recommend to people who crave new tastes or those who enjoy Saigon style food. Even if the business is a cash-only type, there are ATM through the New Cali Saigon Mall. If you come in at the right time, you get a free ping pong show from the locals.

I believe this place specializes in soups and noodle dishes but they also have delicious pork sandwiches at the end of the menu. They are super tasty and under $ 5. I’ll have to go back for some noodles and duck… The only drawback is that they only take cash. They can run your card through some set up they have that acts as an ATM to give you cash back but it carries and extra charge.

Best Chao Vit in the DFW! If you like porridge, duck and salad, try the Chao Vit Thanh Da from this place. Yummy. That’s the only thing I go there for. Never disappointed. Other dishes are ok. This place is inside the Sai Gon Mall food court.

This is a family favorite! The food is great and the service is fast and friendly. If you go on the weekends– try the Bahn it tran’s(SP) — they’re fresh and very tasty! I have yet to eat anything here I didn’t love and we go nearly every other weekend. CORRECTION: they do accept debit cards, just tell them you want to use a debit card and he can make it happen. If you don’t want to do that, there’s an ATM close by, no worries.
