A good place to go if you need formal wear for your children. I needed a dress for my daughter to be in a wedding and I came here first. Glad I did because I found it right away! What I didn’t know about their children’s section, is that they have a HUGE selection of hair bows for girls! They have every color in solids and also patterned styles. I will definitely be coming here when I need a bow.

went in today 2 buy some pants with my boyfriend. at first everything was ok, the lady in the men’s jeans area was very nice. we went 2 the nearest fitting room, which is unmarked btw, to try on some jeans. soon some lady from the adjacent juniors section was getting pissy because apparently, even though it is unmarked and the nearest dressing room, it was for juniors only. tbh I can understand if we were two creepy guys just browsing the juniors fitting room and it was busy, but it we aren’t and it wasn’t. we are two 20 yr old children, and it was noon on a Monday. the way this lady was talking about me and my partner made us feel very unwelcomed so we left shortly after without buying anything. honestly I hate firewheel, and I don’t really like dillards. we just needed some jeans. but I wont go back there because they hire assholes.

I shopped at Dillards, Firewheel Center location yesterday during my lunch break and I was so impressed with the overall appearance of the store and how well organized the merchandise was displayed. I was shopping for robes and found the dressing rooms to be equally tidy. My sales lady(I wish I had asked her name) was so sweet and personable. This pretty lady was well dressed and professional. She was busy straightening merchandise the entire time I was shopping but periodically checked on me for assistance. I normally shop at the Dillards located in the Willowbend mall… but by far — the Garland team clearly is led by great management.

I’ve been shopping here a lot lately and I haven’t been disappointed with the selection of girls apparel for my 6 year old and then shoes for both of my younger children. I recently bought my 10 month old some polo shoes but I had to go switch the size twice and because I paid initially with a check, I had to wait until the 30th to get my money back for them after I did the initial return. That was kind of annoying because my check cleared awhile back but for some reason Dillard’s had a policy on the return to have to get refund on or after the 30th. So I just got it yesterday evening. They must have had an awesome sale worth going to because coincidentally I went 5 minutes before closing time and the store was packed with shoppers! People were still trying to go inside as I was exiting and the security guard told them it was closed and the store would open again at 10am.

Long story short. This holiday season, with(1) returns & exchanges, &(2) having to go from one Dillard’s to another, because they’re inventory didn’t mean demands, it was hell because of the sales associates. Bad experience overall. Basically, I decided to give Dillard’s at Firewheel another try. Especially when I knew they had what I needed right then & there, because I didn’t wanna do another online exchange. Tina helped me twice, & she was very pleasant both times, on different days. Especially today, with the crazy sales going on, which I wasn’t aware of, but cared less for. I notice that she wasn’t only attentive to me, but to her colleagues & other paying customer as well. Bottom line she really caters to people. Now, as far as the other Dillard’s:(1) a sales associate insinuated that I stole shoes, because I didn’t have it in a bag. Duh, I got it as a gift, & parts of the Christmas wrap was still on it. I wanted an exchange.(2) They either forgot about me, so I had to get their attention once again, only for them to waste my time, because they didn’t have what I was looking for. &(3) they gave me an attitude, probably because they were stressed out or something, but still. After today, I give kudos to Tina for fitting me in for an exchange(both occasions), especially today, through the the midst of chaos, literally.

I went to Dillard’s on Black Friday to find a coat. I first went to Macy’s but did not find my size as I am «Big and Tall». David in the Big and Tall department was GREAT. He greeted me when I walked in the door and was more then willing to help. He did not try to up-sell or anything like that. I told him my budget and he found me a nice Michael Kors formal winter coat. He also helped me with some nice dress shirts. The check out process was crazy because of Black Friday but I felt David provided great service.

Don’t even think about trying to buy a eGift Card from this antiquated retailer. I should have known better after reading reviews on their website, which said that people could not get their gift card orders processed… some internal issue with getting an order verified. Their 1 – 800 number is staffed with people who call themselves servants but who cannot fix any issues and the supervisors have no idea why the order can’t be placed. It appears they run an old DOS program that requires upper management to approve every order. Not only can they not get the transaction approved and processed but after 24 hours their system automatically cancels the gift card order!!! HOWEVER, the transaction amount stays on your debit card for a week! Hell, I only wanted to give my daughter a gift card for her birthday. Thanks Dillard’s for totally botching up her birthday!

My review is largely based on the shoe department which deserves at most 2 stars. I shop at all the local Dillard’s and this store has some of the least professional shoe sales staff. They’re kind of pushy, really unreasonably strict shoe return policy(be warned, I was given a VERY difficult time on some shoe returns that I promise were only worn/tried on around the store and house but never worn outdoors), and unhealthy competition amongst sales staff. However, the rest of the store is newer and cleaner as compared to other Dillard’s, for example, it has automatic sliding entry doors and fresh/new fitting rooms(the Northpark one has really beat up, smelly ones). The parking is situation is better and other department’s such as jewelry, menswear, and women’s dept are all pretty nice. So, in summary, go there for shopping needs other than women’s shoes and you’ll have a fine experience!

Clean, stand alone Dillard’s location in the middle of lots of fun dining and shopping. I really didn’t like how the store was laid out. I couldn’t find what I needed, and no one offered to help. Disappointing because Dillard’s is a go to place for me for many items. I will skip this location in the future.

I really like this Dillard’s! Friendly staff, easy to get in and out(which I prefer), and good sales pretty much all the time on men’s clothing. I go here for pretty much all of my clothing needs before I check out other places.
