Let me start by saying my husband has purchased two packages for me as gifts and the first one was nails and a body massage. Wow! I felt so relaxed and satisfied for the first experience and so I remembered this place from that time on. My second gift was a pedicure package, and oh my gosh! Talk about a major stress reliever! The staff takes time to really make your feet feel wonderful, I was in pedicure heaven! They also gave me a neck massage. So my latest nail appointment was today! Ivy did a FANTASTICJOB! I’m particular about my nails and do not like them thick and I even specified what I like and wanted in a particular pink color. She was spot on! I tried the Nex Gen nails and the set came out beautiful! I’ll post a pic as soon as I clear up storage from my iPhone camera. Never a disappointment here and I’m keen on seeing flaws but Ivy sealed the deal when she said«look at your nails and let me know if I need to fix anything». I pointed out a few minor filing flaws and boom, she fixed them before she did the finishing bugging and clear coats. I keep looking at them.

They give you a menu to choose your manicure or pedicure when you arrive. I chose the 2nd one on the list that was supposed to come with a 10 minute massage & salt scrub(the first one didn’t include a salt scrub & included 8 minutes of massage). In the end, I got 30 seconds of horrible salt scrub(no water added so it shredded my skin) and a 5 minute, less than admirable, massage. I mentioned this to the manager and they still charged me for to basic pedicure that supposedly includes an 8 minute massage. Disappointing. I won’t be back.

My full set looks absolutely fantastic!!! No wait at all, friendly staff. I will definitely keep coming here for my nails since I can’t keep my natural nails from breaking and bleeding all the time.

Went there for the first time the day after Christmas. They were able to get me and my 4 nieces in pretty quickly. They were efficient and courteous. I wouldn’t go back because my manicure chipped just 2 days later.

I walked in and was in a chair in 60 seconds. Smells good — check, appears very clean — check, nice, new chairs that actually work — check, offered me a drink — check, didn’t speak to co-workers in a foreign language I don’t understand — really appreciate that. Though she did tell me I looked tired, which was probably true but could have done w/o this observation. I opted for the $ 27 basic pedi. I should have gone with the $ 32 b/c mid treatment I was told it was a $ 5 up charge for callus removal(annoying tactic) but the calf massage and beverage refill made up for it. The gel removal was pricey at $ 15 but there was a $ 10 discount on the bill so that made it better. There seemed to be plenty of staff to handle walk-ins. I will be returning and would refer someone based on this first experience.

I read the some reviews posted on this site and cannot comment on nail service but I can honestly say this is the BESTSPA for a facial and massage in the entire Garland/Sachse/Wylie area!!! I was truly amazed at the service I received from Vivian for an acne facial that was a gift from my daughter-in-law. It was fabulous! I also received a full body Swedish massage from Lisa… she has anointed hands. WOW…I felt wonderful!!! I will definitely return… real soon ;)

I have been going here to get my nails done for about two years now. I began going regularly when I was pregnant, because it is well ventilated. You wouldn’t know you were in a salon by smell alone. The staff is very nice, and they always do a good job. They are friendly, and have good manners(they don’t have conversations in another language, 2″ from you)… Something that always annoyed me at other places. They have promotions regularly, and are conveniently located outside Dillard’s in Firewheel. I highly recommend this salon. Also, I have had good luck with Peter, and Lisa, but haven’t seen all the techs. It looks like everybody does pretty good work :-)

She jacked up my fingernails… They were already short, she asked what shape I wanted them. I said«round, I guess?» as I’ve never really been asked before at my usual place… She rounded the corners so short that the file cut into the skin of my finger. I ended up with a couple of hang nails, and I’m sure ill have an ingrown nail in at least one finger. The paint job was incredibly sloppy and chipped almost immediately. I also got an eyebrow wax. She told me that I’d waited too long in between waxes, and that it would hurt. I’d never been told this before, and never had a problem before. It took her a looooong time to finish the job, and when I got home, I noticed several spots she missed. The skin around my eyebrows was irritated for two days, which never happens with my usual place. Not coming back. 2 stars for the nice atmosphere.

I WILLNOTRETURNHERE. Upon entering, I was impressed because it was clean and looked like a higher-end nail place(considering the Green Masque pedicure was $ 37). But I did not get much of a massage and I didn’t feel relaxed. The quality of the pedicure itself was also poor. The way my nails ended up looking, was the way they would’ve looked if I did my OWN nails. Nothing special. I thought I would at least get good quality since this place was semi-pricey, but no. My pedicure and manicure turned very poor. My nail polish chipped right upon leaving this place the same day. I was not pleased with that. I don’t know if their treatment depended upon my class. For example: Maybe I didn’t look high end or rich enough to receive quality service? I don’t know what happened but will definitely not return. I deserve better quality for my money. The only prop I will give them is that I liked the complementary margarita. Other than that… NOWAY!

Wonderful experience! Not speaking in their language during your service. Very quiet, very beautiful, an actual spa experience. I will definitely return –

I called and asked about the prices for deep tissue massage and the girl answering the phone told me about them and they were the same as the Swedish massage(which I thought was strange considering it’s usually more). Upon going in there I am informed that it is $ 10 more for deep tissue. The masseuse did a fairly good job; however; I did spend a lot of time telling her that my shoulders were my main concern and they don’t really feel much better. When I went to pay I stood there for at least 5 – 10 min before someone even said a word to me(something such as someone will be right with you is sufficient) even though several of the employees saw me standing there. You would think if they wanted you to pay they would be a little quicker to get to the register. I don’t think I’ll be back.

Well– I have very mixed feelings right now about Firewheel Day Spa– I went there for about a year– every 6 weeks for pedicures– sometimes it was really good– sometimes ehhh so/so– all depended what tech you got– but it’s right by my house and I really like the massage part– but then after one of the techs dug and scraped into my toes– I ended up getting a fungal infection all over my toenails– I didn’t go back for almost one year! for whatever reason, I went back almost a year later-and had Nancy– I LOVED her– she did what I told her– eased back with too mcuh of anything– cut my nails shorter when I asked– and did a very good massage. I continued to go there for about 6 months and always requested Nancy– this last time(about a month ago) — Nancy was off– so I took the only one avaialbe(my nails and stress level really needed to relax and be pampered) — I had Lisa– and It was HORRIBLE. She scratched into my toenail over and over and cut the cuticles WAY too far back– I kept pulling my feet back and asked her to stop– the tech next to her said something to her in Vietnamese– and the Lisa eased up alittle– but then after a minute went back to scratching– it was so painful! then– when I went home– but toenails were tingling-and just red/painful hurting– 2 days later my toenails were chipping! I went back to show them and had it touched up– they didn’t even re-do the paint they just painted into the chips. the polish lasted 1 week– and when I took the polish the rest of the way off my toenails are so paperthin from how much Lisa scraped and sanded them down. Now, they keep breaking as they grow beause there is no thickness to them at all– finally my big toenail broke half way into the nail– and most of my toenail is broke– painful– and looks terrible. I have to say– it all depends on who you have– and I recommend Nancy-but that being said– I’m not sure I will go back here(and will probably stay away from pedicures for awhile). Addendum: after a 1 year hiatus– I went back to Firewheel– and requested Nancy. Again, she kept filing deeper into my n ail and nail bed. I asked her to stop that my nail beds were really thin as it was — she said no they aren’t and kept going. Over the next few days — DAYS– my polish all chipped off from 5 of my 10 manicured toes and I discovered I had nail fungus. Almost 1 month later — they are painful– and SO messed up looking. Buyer Beware.

Well… I previously rated this place much higher. However, my experience this week has made me re-think my rating. This spa is still clean, and the employees are friendly enough, but the quality of my pedicure was really, really bad. I selected the Green Tea Pedi. I was«supposed» to have a Green Tea mask applied to my feet. The tech only smeared a tiny bit on the instep of each foot and wrapped them in a warm towel. At that time, she was supposed to massage my lower legs. What she actually did could not be called a massage. She dragged her hands lightly over the bottom half of my calves which lasted approx. 5 minutes, if that long. I had previously asked for her to clip my nails short. She didn’t clip them at all until I stopped her before applying my polish to insist she clip my nails. What’s up with that? Theis Spa costs slightly more than most places, but if I had received the type care I had received on previous occasions, I’d go back. But after talking with the manager by phone who never apologized, or offered a re-do, I don’t think I’ll go back. There are too many other places to try next time. Too bad, because It was a very convenient place to be a «walk-in».

I have been to Firewheel Day Spa several times(probably 20+), and I have always been very pleased with the service I receive there. It is very very clean, and I have never witnessed any unsanitary practices there. The staff is very nice, I have never experienced any rudeness or anything like that. The atmosphere is really nice and light and soothing. Prices are good, absolutely in line with what you would expect. They have tons of nice pedicure chairs, and they are always well-staffed, so you can usually get served pretty immediately even for a walk-in on the weekend. I have had my nails done at very expensive spas and still prefer this place — price is obviously better, and frankly I’ve never gotten a better pedicure anywhere else.

I have been getting my nails done for years, and I mean 12. So when I went here for a pedicure and nails I expected at least a good pedicure with it being a day spa. Let me just say that I would not recommend going here. Between my 3 friends and myself we each got MAYBE5 minutes of massage on a $ 40+ pedicure and when I asked for longer they looked at me like I was nuts. I won’t ever be back that’s for sure. Save your money and head to Sachse Nails, their $ 23 pedicure has 20+ minutes of massage and it’s impeccably clean

wife loves one of the pedicurists at this place. they have decent Mother’s Day specials that i have purchased a couple of times. it took some persuasion and time, but a 2-month expired gift card was honored by the manager and salvaged our relationship.
