Hubby and i have been here a few times and always have a great experience. The service is fast and friendly. Food is fresh and portions are perfect. It is tex mex which i love and even my husband, who isnt a fan of tex mex, loves it. It has quickly become my little hidden gem when i want my mexican food fix without spending a lot of money!

Best fish tacos. We didn’t even realize they were closing in 15 minutes until I went onto Unilocal for reviews. They were extremely friendly & polite. Even carefully wrapped the rice container extra!!! We were just wowed over the experience. Wish other places gave us the same experience.

Very good place to stop for a breakfast taco. They are nice and hot when you get them and the salsa is very tasty as well. If you are in a hurry this is not a place for you to stop.

Best fried tilapia I’ve had. Perfect breading and fried. Not sure why it says«grill» in the menu. Beef Quesadila only ok. Going to try fajita next.

It was alright at best. I was looking to bring home dinner, pulled up Unilocal, and thought they were worth a try. It appears at first glance to be a «fast casual» style dining spot, but it’s more or less tex mex fast food. They do have fajitas, which isn’t really a fast food style meal, but the flavor and quality were. Same goes for the chicken tostadas — very salty meat, and nothing special taste wise. They do provide chips and salsa to go with your order, and both were very good. You can tell the salsa is fresh made, and the chips were the crispy super thin style. This pulled these guys up to a 3 star review. It was ok, but the prices seem a bit higher than the quality of food you get. Oh yeah… What other mexican place with a drive thru window serves pancakes?!

I drive by this place all the time on my way to work. So glad I stopped in after work tonight. The beef fajitas were delicious! Will definitely go back.

I’ll start by saying I regularly visit this location once a week(if not more). While I have always gotten my meal to go, I consider it ‘sit down restaurant’ quality! The salsa is delicious and fresh. Try their spicy Shrimp Cocktail filled with good quality shrimp and fresh avacado. The Sour Cream Chicken Enchillads are delicious as well. I was raised in Plano, lived 3+ years in San Diego and I am a huge fan Tex-Mex and true Mexican cuisine. Pepper’s Taco is a hybrid of them both. You’ll love this place! Bön Appetite!

Less than average Smells bad. Hurried. And everything seems to be fresh out of a can. Nope not ever again! Ew

Stumbled on this little gem. I’m a sucker for tacos. This place looks like it may have been a KFC at some point but was renovated to look less fast food and more restaurant. The atmosphere is colorful and clean. They take pride in the place. The staff if very friendly and lunch came with chips and salsa. I ordered the«tacos de Juan» barbacoa… Very nice. I’ll be back for more

I am obsessed with this restaurant. Their barbacoa is flawless. It is delicately seasoned and lacks the typical globs of gristle. I order it on everything. I didn’t think it possible to love them more and then, tonight, I switched it up and ordered the fish tacos. They were everything I wanted on a warm spring evening– light and flaky fish accentuated with cool crunchy cabbage and a light cream sauce. If they were open late I’d go back and pick up another order.

Great breakfast menu all day! I always get the scrabbled eggs or the Spanish omelet with pancakes plate.

Not just tacos, but all kinds of Tex-Mex goodies. The fish tacos are particularly tasty. The menu really is extensive and they’ve got a drive through. This building was once a TCBY and later an AT&T store. Pepper’s beats them both, I think. They serve breakfast all day. Friendly service, too. Good thing they are close to my work.

Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place yet, so here goes! I’ve been eating here off and on for a few years now, and I can’t say I’ve had a bad meal yet. I do have my favorites — their fish tacos are right up there with the best, and their tortas are huge and delicious(and so huge, in fact, that they go ahead and wrap half of it in foil so you can take it home and eat it later). Same thing goes for quesadillas, enchiladas, and tacos filled with other meats. They’ve also got breakfast all day with reliably great coffee. The service has always been friendly and attentive. As an added bonus, their tamales are damn good, and cheaper by the dozen than just about anyone in town. In fact, I picked up a dozen pork just today, and I’ll probably grab a couple dozen more next week for a big family feed. There you have it… Pepper’s is a damn good little taco joint. I’m glad to know about those nacho fries… Hmmmm…

This place is actually good!!! Their menu is pretty big and their prices are very fair. I ordered a steak quesadilla and I was very surprised that the meat tasted so good! Their salsa and queso is ok, nothing to write about. They also serve breakfast. Give this taco joint a try!

first time I’ve been to this place. Ordered to go. 2 burritos and 2 churros for me and the boyfriend. The chips and salsa are a great add. I love the salsa. The right amount of heat and everything. I got the chicken burrito and it was AMAZING. Huge burrito. flavors are amazing. Still warm. All fixins taste so fresh like this is literally the best. And the the churros were warm and perfectly sweet. I pass by here often and always say next time but this was a great decision. The staff was really nice and attentive. The drive thru is so convenient. May be my new place for lunch everyday!

Just moved to the Garland area after spending the past few years in San Antonio and Corpus Christi. My husband and I are on the lookout for good breakfast tacos and decided to try here based on the reviews. Down in South Texas, tortillas are thick, which is what I prefer. However, I’ve consistently only had extremely thin tortillas in the Dallas area. The tortillas at this location wasn’t different. Because of this, these tacos weren’t good enough for us to have found our go to place, but the ingredients inside the tacos were great and because of that, we’ll come back.

We love tacos, I went here thinking this was a «Fast food taco stand» because of how small it was. We went up to the counter and the person said«Please have a seat, Be with you in a moment» She was helping a to go order and we had no idea this was a sit down service. We had the Guac/chips/Hot sauce. It was good. I had the Taco Plate which was 2 pork street tacos, and one hard beef taco. Very good. We ate for 2 for 23.00 And we had alot of food.

Any place that gets me to drive more than a 15 miles out of my way is a place worth remembering. Wanted to keep things old skool and ordered the Tacos Juan(the closest thing to street tacos I could find on the menu). The menu says the meat is carne asada but they give you a choice of meat. I chose picadillo(ground beef) in corn tortillas. Instead of refried beans, chose to go with charro beans. Rice rounded out the plate. The salsa that comes with the chips(not great, a bit overboard with salt) was the right balance of flavor and kick. More chunky than watery which is appreciated when serving with chips. The 3 tacos were gone quickly. The ground beef was seasoned(a bit greasy) with bits of potato which is my fave way of prep. The beans were served in a small bowl so you could eat some of the broth. Bits of bacon added to the flavor(seriously, charro beans without bacon is heresy) and the rice was fluffy as it should be. The meal was really good and well worth the $ 7. Fountain drinks are Pepsi brand which sucks. But, they do have a large Mexican Coke bottle you can buy for a bit more but no refills on that, obviously. Boo. I really liked this place and have been back twice in one week. Always nice to find a good TexMex joint although I wish it wasn’t out in Garland. :)
