This place was recommended to us and it was worth the drive! Great vibe in the tasting room and it was hopping for the big Valentine’s weekend. They also waive your tasting fee with a minimum purchase, which we were happy to do since the wines were delicious!

Beautiful winery, great views, and really knowledgeable/passionate staff. I enjoyed the wines, and they were unveiling a new white — which was nice, crisp and tasty(better enjoyed on a warmer day). I came with some wine club friends for the new launch — and I will be back for a proper tasting! The tasting room is very cozy, though I didn’t get a chance to do a full-tasting of all they offer; next time.

Although a little difficult to find, it was well worth the extra effort when we arrived at the top of the long driveway to experience the breathtaking view. The wines were fantastic… Jenn was friendly & knowledgeable, not only about Patton Valley’s wines but other wines &wineries in the valley as well. Will return the next time we visit Oregon wine country without a doubt!

We arrived shortly before 5, by bicycle, soaking wet, on a whipping rainy January day as the sky was going dark. Jennifer welcomed us in and comped our flights for being on bike.(Actually, we had walked up the hill, but you don’t want to know the details. Do look for the fabulous chicken and goose run as well as the children’s play castle at the bottom of the hill, though.) The wine selection is fairly limited(4 when we were there), all pinots, but they were good and the pours were big. Especially delicious was comparing the east slope with the west slope wines! Jennifer was really fun & great to talk to and told us a lot about the winery operations. I’d go back, and that’s saying a lot when you think about that hill…

Wonderful environment, the people working there are welcoming, and the black lab greeting you as you arrive on the property make the experience enjoyable. The pinots are very, very acidic. However there are other wineries in the area. See my other wine reiviews!!!

We pointed the nose of the rental car up a thin winding road on a cold November day. The air and the light and the sound were brittle and yellowed, like champagne gone bad. Not an auspicious beginning to Thanksgiving wine tasting adventures. When we crested, everything cleared. Brittle became crisp, yellow became golden. Some places remind me of other places. Some moments remind me of other moments. Living a memory while living the moment, I am my own ghost walking within myself. The taste of their red wine pulls me back together. Earthy and full, these are wines that smile, made by people who live and love. Good, good. I’ll smile again when I drink these wines later. Patton Valley is a small operation, part of the innovative coterie of winemakers who inhabit the hills around Gaston. Their wines aren’t easy to find in the city, but it is an easy drive to the vineyard and tasting room. I’ll go every Thanksgiving. I’ll always go.
