Wonderful vineyard! I did the barrel tasting and the regular tasting included 10 wines and ~5 wines from the barrels. The barrel tour was with the owner, RJ, who was wonderful!

We had an amazing time at the Plum Hill tasting room. Not only was the tasting menu long and diverse– we were offered numerous food samples to compliment the undertones of the wine. Ghost the tasting room mascot(a yellow lab) was so friendly and gentle with our littlest«too young for wine tasting» crew! They have a wide array of gift shop items in the tasting room including a popcorn machine which our toddler was eyeing — CJ was so accommodating that she popped a fresh batch much to our toddler’s delight! She definitely went above and beyond to provide a great afternoon. We couldn’t resist the 10% off discount for purchasing 6 bottles. The port is a must buy! We will definitely return again!

Always a favorite stop in the area. Visit the tasting room or picnic on the patio with amazing wine country and mountain views. If the owners are available, they will share wine stories and laughter. Dog friendly with a dog run out front. Nice selection of whites and reds, plus snacks and a gift shop.

Our barista(young girl from Maui) was super nice and sweet(I’ll give her 5 stars) but another woman behind the counter(I’m assuming she’s one of the owners) was somewhat rude and that ruined our time here. She grabbed all the snacks that our girl had lined up for us and rudely put them away, left us feeling uncomfortable and awkward. I think she made our girl feel bad too. I could see if she put 2 of the 3 away but all 3? Okay… The tasting was$ 5 but that’s bc they hardly pour anything into your glass :-/never been anywhere where they pour so little. Also, our cheese platter was $ 9 and it was super market cheese slices(the kind that come in an already prepared platter) and it was like maybe half of the platter. Save your money and go to another place.

This is a welcoming and Dog-friendly stop along your way. Proprietors Juanita and Trey are friendly, down to earth, and informative about the area. Mostly though, they seem to genuinely enjoy making sure you have a nice experience. Ghost the Labrador also doubles as The Greeter — he leans in when you pet him. The wine is good and this winery is really worth a stop.

We stopped in at 4PM on a Sunday and had the best time. First of all, it’s dog friendly and has a dog run(as well as a great big adorable lab named Ghost). It was totally unpretentious, which was a nice change from two other wineries in the area that we’d visited earlier in the day. It was really fun and the selection was great. We came away with two bottles of port and if I lived in the area I’d definitely make it a habit to visit. Thanks for a great afternoon!

Such a fun small, family run winery! They offer many varietals in a cozy, unpretentious tasting room and gift shop. Nice patio and picnic area out back. For Labor Day, they had live music which was very nice. Our favorites are listed below but they had a lot of nice wines to choose from! Wines are moderately priced, tasting fee is only $ 5! 2013 White Blyss Blend 2012 Riesling 2012 Patio Pinot Noir 2011 Syrah

Nice People. That’s it. The wine was not very good and expensive for what it is. Too many varietals of wine which in my mind pretty much tasted the same. I would not recommend buying it. Sorry Plum :(

What a great find! This young(2004), family owned vineyard and winery is nestled on a knoll just outside the one-horse town of Gaston in western Washington County. All the grape varieties are grown on the property(and just to give you an idea of the«good natured vibe» of this place, they have named each vine with titles like The Grapeful Dead, Wine Oh, Albert Winestein)… The tasting room is unpretentious and offers snack foods and gifts, window views and an outdoor patio. There’s a grassy«doggie corral» where you can let your pet roam while you imbibe. Locals pop in and out with friendly greetings and lively tales. And of course, there’s the wine. RJ Lint, owner and vintner, does great things. Everything we tasted was full-bodied and flavorful. I’m a fan of reds, but the White Blyss, a blend of SchÖnburger, Pinot Blanc, and Riesling was fantastic! Prices are affordable too. My recommendation is to visit Plum Hill. Plum’s the word!

I love Plum Hill! It is pretty much the only winery where you can feel at home. If you are traveling with your four legged friend, they have a dog run. Awesome! The wine is really really yummy! They have a wide variety, so something for everyone. If I could give them 10 stars I would. It is a must go!

Went on a cold, windy winter day and the owners and Nick gave us a warm and hospitable welcome. Nice selection of pinots, a broad spectrum of flavors. We ordered a crackers, cheese, salami and stuffed olives platter and it served 3 easily. Nick was very informative about the winery operations and each of the wines, and it was enjoyable to interact with the owners. During the better weather months, the food selection will expand, and it will be a wonderful view over the valley when summer comes. We will spread the good news about this find!

RJ and Juanita are 2 of the most interesting people who also happen to make really good wines. My girlfriend and make it a point to stop by at least once a week to say hi. They are awesome and they treat everyone like family. Né sure to say hi Ghost, thei r loving puppy.

Super nice people. The whites I tried and I stopped after two, weren’t drinkable. I went through the lineup of reds which were primarily Pinot noir. I wasn’t impressed. Again, nice people but the wine, in my opinion wasn’t good.

I love Plum Hill! The owners and staff are incredibly friendly, the wines are great, and it’s really pet friendly. We have been here a number of times and the last time we came with our dog and they let us bring her right on. She played the Ghost, the lab, and the little daschund that was there. She had so much fun and so did we! They even have a dog run in the front of the building. I love the cozy feel the winery has. I think the way they bottle their wines is great, too, with dipping the tops in colored wax. Last time I was there, I just had to become a wine club memeber, so I will be visiting many more times.

I cant think of any other winery to go to considering the fact that they are really nice folks, dog friendly, make your wine tasting experience outstanding, and they have a really nice location, very easily accessible from pdx/hillsboro, and of course, great wine! :)

My FAVORITE Oregon vineyard! Super friendly, helpful staff. Great wines. Good place to stop and have. Live music on occasion. And GHOST, the sweet tasting room dog! Personally, I don’t bring kids to wine tastings, but they do have a good back deck with a koi pond for entertainment… there’s also a dog run so you can potty your furry friends, if they happen to be along. Glad to be a wine club member guys!

I disagree with the first poster saying their wines were dry and acid. I found them all to be extremely young and probably some of the better wines I have had in the Willamette Valley despite the fact that the vines are so new. My parents bought a case(or 2? I can’t recall) for my sister’s wedding 2 years ago and those were the first wines to go during the weekend. EVERYONE loved them, especially the white varietals. This place is great, atmosphere is great and the wines are very good for their price point. The owner/winemaker is a joy to talk to as well. Been here 3 times now and Plum Hill is definitely on the list of wineries I bring friends/family.

The overall vibe here is less moneyed and«professional» than nearby wineries like the stately gated Montinore and Willakenzie-which is a good thing, as it is very friendly and down to earth, and the wine tastes better in a relaxed atmosphere(including the huge, aforementioned white Lab, who comes and leans against you). The staff are all longtime friends and family from the vicinity, and the owner/farmer/vintner plops himself down at the bar to make conversation and talk about chasing the neighbor’s cows off the property. The tasting room is full of folksy tchotchkes and artisanal nibbles for sale – the kind of stuff that would make good stocking stuffers to send to your mom in Minneapolis. Cute. The(free!) wine flight has 10 wines or more, including whites, reds and a rose, and the wines start at very friendly price points. They are pouring both their own wines as well as another vineyard’s – Thistle – which does not have a tasting room, so you get some nice comparison tastings. Cute little patio for summer picnicking with a view north over the vineyard and Forest Grove. The great staff and affordability make 2 good reasons to go back.

All their wines are very dry and acidic. I can’t imagine drinking them without food… lots of food… The white lab on the property greeting you with a toy in his mouth makes the experience enjoyable however. Also, there are other wineries in the area, see my other wine reviews!!!
