Absolutely AMAZING. The owner is super awesome and the food is Delicious. We had the Philly cheese steak dog and chilli cheese dog. Banana shake is super good. You MUST come here. Little momma and pop place and you won’t be disappointed.

If you’re a hot dog fan then this place is worth a try. It’s not a fancy restaurant but it gets the job done in terms of hot dog and milkshake flavor. To order your hot dog you have a picture menu board which is nice and helpful. They have your typical hot dog choices like, a chili cheese dog but they also have creative choices like the Reuben hot dog! I ordered the Chicago dog and it was great! One hot dog and a side is plenty for hungry stomach. My side was the brown sugar baked beans. The baked beans were nothing special. Next time I’d like to try the chili cheese fries. And the milkshakes are delicious! I had a peanut butter milkshake and though a little pricey ($ 5.00), very yum!

We were driving out of Gatlinburg on our last day and decided to grab a last minute meal. OMG the food was delicious! My favorite is the pretzel bun cheddar cheese dog. Absolutely fantastic! It was the perfect combination. The strawberry shake was soooo good too! The owner spent time to explain the menu and spoke to us and explained that some of the ingredients are grown by him. We will definitely be back soon!

Highly recommend to hotdog lovers. What it lacks in atmosphere, it makes up for in delicious authenticity and super friendly hometown service. I had the Chicago Hot Dog, and it was exactly as it should be, down to the sport peppers, celery salt and oh-​so-​fresh poppy seed bun. My sweetheart had the bacon dog and loved it as well. Clearly these guys take a lot of pride in their product. I didn’t have the shake, but their shake menu, made with the same level of high quality ingredients, from Amish ice cream, made me wish I had time to go back for a shake… darn it, we are on our way back home :-(

Hidden gem! Worth the drive away from the strip in Gatlinburg, especially if you go the back way! Service is phenomenal, and staff if very friendly! I ordered a super beef with chili and mac and cheese. My boyfriend ordered the slaw dog with a side of Mac and cheese and Tator skin fries. I got a hand dipped vanilla shake and he got a chocolate Oreo. Both shakes were served thick and were delicious, but I should have gotten the chocolate shake, it was decadent. For all our food it was $ 20 which is great for gatlinburg, and everything was fresh (except the fries there were frozen, and the Mac and cheese was just shells and cheese)! We will definitely be back next time we’re in town.

We ate here after spending a few hours shopping at the Arts and Crafts community. I’ve read lots of good reviews, so decided to check it out! Wow! It was great. Three of us had the slaw dog, Reuben dog and the smothered mushroom, onion and cheese dog. They were great! And make sure to get a milkshake!

I honestly don’t see what the fuss is about. Maybe I just can’t get that excited about milkshakes and hot dogs. But everything seemed pretty average to me – and on the expensive side. It was just under $ 10 for a chili cheese dog and milkshake combo. The food tasted find, but it was entirely forgettable.
I will say that the service was exceptional. We had quite a while to wait for our food, but I think that’s because a big group came in shortly before we arrived. The man who I’m guessing is the owner/​manager changed the TV channel to more kid-​friendly fare once there were small children around. And he gave a, «Thank you! We appreciate you!» to customers leaving, which was extra nice.

We drove 9 hours to this place and it was well worth the wait! The hotdogs buns and toppings are filling and tasty. Staff is friendly and thou can even custom order. The chili cheese fry dawg leaves me speechless… Trying to figure out how to eat another one while I write this review…

Pulled over so I could find something in the back seat and saw the sign for this place. Looked it up on Unilocal,and saw that the reviews weren’t bad at all! We were greeted and told to take our time. My Ruben hot dog was amazing. So we’re the onion rings and the chocolate banana milkshake. I’d totally be back if I didn’t live so far away. Try this place, you won’t regret it!

What a great hidden gem! I ordered a pretzel dog with cheese sauce and a chocolate milkshake. It was SO good! The hot dog itself was so good and then paired with the pretzel bun it was perfect. I also had a side order of curly fries which was hot and crispy. I highly recommend this place!

Don’t drive to fast because this little gem will go right by and you’ll want to make a U-​turn. You don’t want to miss a meal here. Great food, awesome shakes and staff. Family owned and operated with super southern charm. Our daughter left her stuffed animal and they just caught us in the parking lot to return it. Definitely mark your GPS and make the stop for lunch or dinner. 25 different items (dawgs) to choose from and we were lucky enough to catch the Blackberry shakes (seasonal), they are made with Amish ice cream, WOW, «two please!» This will be a definite stop when we are even near Gatlinburg.

Great dogs and worth the stop! At first glance the place looks slightly questionable bit inside is clean and friendly. Service is not super fast but food is great and cheep. Milkshakes are AMAZING! We ordered a chocolate peanut butter, vanilla malt, and black berry. (TIP: Milkshakes are faster than food and we got ours a good 5 min before. If you want to eat them afterwords I would order them when the food arrives.)

Took way too long to receive food… like 30 mins too long:-/!!! Hotdogs were just that… hotdogs with oversized buns and some canned/​bagged toppings thrown on. Def not worth the drive from Gatlinburg, unfortunately. Nothing special here.

Great googly moogly! The dogs were some of the best we have ever had. Daughter tried the mac & cheese dog, and I figured it would be more novel than tasty. (If you’ve had mac and cheese pizza elsewhere you know what I mean.) The mac and cheese was spectacular in its own right.
The buns were lightly toasted and held ingredients well. Plus they were tasty. Add the deliciously prepared onion strings, and you have one heck of a wonderful and filling meal.
Oh, but did I forget the shakes? The guy making them KNOWS how to do them right. Perfect blend of milk and ice cream makes them not too thick. And the additional ingredients were high quality: fresh berries for our strawberry shakes and Jif PB for the PB shake.
This may be the best place in Gatlinburg. Everyone should pop out of town to eat here. Yummy!!!

Wow! What a great local place to eat. My boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere to eat today after a very long day of hiking in the park. We wanted to find sometime a little outside of the Gatlinburg craziness and not too expensive. What a great choice!
The folks here are so friendly. We each had the chili cheese fry dawg and shakes, both were delicious! It was a really nice experience and we will definitely be going back next time.

Not a huge hot dog fan, but I knew I had to try this place! After a long white water rafting trip, my boyfriend and I picked up Shakes N’ Dawgs! It was a great meal after a great time on the Pigeon River! This place is a must while visiting Gatlinburg!

Holy WOW… Yum!!! This is fantastic! Deep fried hot dog in cheese-​its? Oh yes! They did it and it will knock your socks off! With over 28 kinds of hot dogs, this is definitely a MUST VISIT if you’re ever in Gatlinburg, TN. The next one I want to try is the French onion soup dog…:-)
