I got the homemade chicken noodle soup and my husband got the hotdogs special with their special chili. Fantastic. Clean, service… AWESOME

Really had high hopes for this place. Great off the beaten path little gem of an atmosphere. Loved the outdoor and patio seating. The inside is rustic contemporary décor cabin setting. It appeared the three fellas working there were possibly in business together. It was slow. Not many patrons. We arrived around 11:30 looking for breakfast. We were told they were done with breakfast but made an exception for us. Awesome!!! Then the coffee came… in to go cups. It’s just not the same. Give me a real mug. There is a difference. Environment is everything and they have done such a great job just to shoot themselves in the foot. It appeared the guy waiting on us was an owner… with no serving experience. I really felt sorry for them. :/I wanted to help… offer advise. I watched the cook tear open the pack of Quakers Instant Grits as he was«cooking». Then the food came out… all on paper plates. Paper bowls. Platicware. This was a huge let down. This place had so much potential going into it. The egg omelette was really good though. The home fries decent. The grits were awful. This is the kind of place you root for though. I would go back… hopping to see some changes. Good luck.

I think this place had different owners last July 2014? It seemed that it was named the Cabin Grill and had a vegetarian/vegan menu along with eco friendly cups, plates, etc. Since we had enjoyed it on our past visit we thought we would stop by for lunch, after a tiring hike, with hearty appetites. The menu had few offerings and we realized it must be different. No big deal, we were super tired and hungry so how bad could it be? Well… we sat down and after some time they brought a menu and took our drink orders. Then they had to come back to the table to confirm said drink orders. We weren’t quite ready to order(not sure why, there are not many offerings for lunch) and the server told us he would come back in a minute. Well about 10 minutes later, as I was desperately trying to get my husband to just get up and leave, another employee comes over and says«we forgot you were here.» They were very apologetic and told us our unsweet tea was on them. We ordered hamburgers and potato salad. The hamburger seemed like one of those frozen pre-made patties. Not flavorful at all. The potato salad was decent. Usually after a hike and being so hungry everything tastes delicious no matter what it is, not the case here. I only ate half of the burger and had to stop. I only gave them 3 stars because they were friendly and it’s a cute place. I really, really wanted to like it.

We were so happy to have this place on our trip. We had been looking for a good breakfast and lunch place while staying in Gatlinburg. This is off the beaten path but stepping into this place makes you feel like you are in another time and place! The cabin décor is awesome, you can’t help but look around at it. The menu was adequate to say the least and the food was great! My bacon was done perfectly and so was my French toast and eggs. The food was flavorful without being drenched in grease. We chatted with the owner, he clearly takes pride in his establishment. I feel this is the type of place you go if you want an amazing experience. It’s not often we walk into a restaurant and end up extremely happy with the service and food! The prices were completely reasonable as well!
