The quality of this place used to be wonderful, but seems to have gone down in the last few years. Took us forever to get seated, even though there were many empty tables inside. Three people were running the restaurant. They were out of one of the specials within an hour of being open for the day. Service was not great. More jelly with the muffins please.

PLUMDELICIOUS! Went here for lunch on a Saturday. It has a very cute and magical atmosphere… We opted for the outdoor seating, which I usually avoid, but with such a lovely setting, who could resist? Our table ordered lobster pie and gouda stuffed bison burgers. Our burger aficionado said it was one of the best burgers he ever had. The lobster pie was creamy and had large chunks of lobster in it. No scrimping here… You can also get a salad or soup with your meal. Most of us opted for the tomato and chardonnay soup. It was one of the most delicious soups I have ever eaten. You could definitely taste the wine, but not in an overpowering way. It totally complimented both the sweet and acidic flavors of the tomatoes. I wish I could get a gallon to take home with me! We all got the home made iced plum tea. Everyone loved it. Very citrusy with big slices of orange. The nice waitress was always there to top up your glass. I found this to be a very unique and charming place with interesting food selections and superb flavor. Definitely coming back.

This was sooo good. It was recommended by an antique dealer. Nestled in the arts and crafts community. There were three of us in the party and everyone loved it. I got the strada. I loved it. My husband got the bison burger. My brother got the salmon sandwich. Everyone raved an we got 2 cookbooks. I am definitely going to recommend this restaurant to everyone heading to this area.

I love this place… not to mention my husband proposed to me there! The peanut soup was excellent. I enjoyed the muffins as well as the tea. Everything had a nice flavor. We did call ahead to make sure that my husband would be able to get his menu item — did not want them to run out. Nice atmosphere and landscaping. Cannot wait to go back!

While on vacation, found this little gem. It’s away in a mountain which makes it feel like you’re in the country while sitting out in the little patio. They have a nice healthy menu with many colorful items that will make you want to choose all of them. I had the veggie and fruit plate which were very fresh tasting and organic, quite filling too. My husband had the salmon burger which was amazing! This place is by far one of the best in gatlinburg & will recommend it to others for sure! If you’re in town, this place is worth a try!

Perfect brunch! I had the lobster pie – which was amazing. My wife had a Gouda-stuffed bison burger which she loved. We both had the plum tea(which is the best tea I’ve ever had!). And we shared the sampler. Can’t go wrong with this gem!

This was thus far the best meal of my life. Service was excellent and the owner makes a point to visit each table. A must visit if you’re ever in the area

A great local spot along the Arts and Crafts Community road. A small well thought out menu with a few Chef’s specials. Delicious, good service and nice atmosphere.

I love tea rooms and this one did not disappoint! This place is AMAZING! We were in search of something not chain and away from the hell of touristy Gatlinburg. Unilocal to save the day! We shared their soup of the day(harvest pumpkin), turkey and cranberry sandwich, arugula & strawberry salad, and apple cake with cinnamon ice cream. Everything was phenomenal! I got their iced house tea and my husband got his hot. Again, both options were perfect! All the staff was so nice with super quick service! I wish we lived here so we could come back.

My mother adores tea rooms and I wanted to take her here while we were exploring and shopping in The Smokies. So we stopped here for a late lunch. It is very cozy and cute inside. Finely decorated, without being too stereotypical. Lace on the tables, tea cups on the mantle. The inside seating, near the kitchen, is the coziest spot. We both ordered the house Plum tea which was the right amount of citrus and the right amount of sweet. I ordered the Plum special which comes with soup of the day, salad of the day, and chicken salad. My mom ordered the lobster pie and it came with a side. I have been sick, so my taste buds are not up to perfect just yet. Before our main meals arrived, they delivered to our table four mini plum walnut muffins with clear plum jelly for spreading. Though adorable and delicately plated, pretty bland. My harvest pumpkin soup was delightful. The waitress even let me taste it before I ordered it, because I was wary about the amount of cream. My mom and i both ordered the strawberry salad with feta cheese for our side salad. It was decent. Unfortunately her lobster pie was barely lukewarm, which was a supreme disapointment. Anything boasting of that much lobster, and for what we paid for it… should be more than lukewarm. Heat brings out flavor. To end off the tea, we ordered the apple amaretto bread pudding. Which was on point!!! Deliciously hot, moist, right amount of everything. All in all, I’m glad we came, if only for the tea and bread pudding. If I were you, I would stop in for a nice hot pot of tea and a delicious dessert. Otherwise, I fear you will find the lunch menu items to be lacking in flavor and personality.

This was my second visit to the tea room. The food is always excellent. Only one tea, hot or cold. Its good. On the sweet side. Would like other varieties of tea to drink. I had the tuna and it was very good. Other people I was with had the chicken salad. For dessert I had the peach schnapps, fresh and delicious. Others had the chocolate torte and the chocolate brownie. Very quaint and beautiful place.

Hidden gem in this tourist filled trap of a city. Charming place and service. MUSTGET: Plum Tea — i don’t even eat plums and these were OFF the chain. **TIP** you can try BOTH hot and cold for the price of 1! The homemade Jelly for the walnut bread was BOMB. ANYTHINGOFFTHESPECIALMENU — we got the salmon sandwich, the BEST i’ve ever had. I’ve had tons of wild salmon across the country, in all major cities and this was on very top as far as salmon sandwich goes. The cucumber slice on it was refreshing and the bread was soft. Warning… this is a VERY large sandwich. Lobster Pie — very good, no complaints. Quinoa salad– great. this was one of the 4 salad options for the day. Blackberry Cobbler w/Homemade cinnamon ice cream — so good. Chicken Salad lunch plate — it was good, but its not nearly as special as the salmon or pie.

This was seriously the best brunch I’ve had in my life and brunch is my favorite meal so I’ve had my fair share of brunches. If you only eat at one place in Gatlinburg make sure it’s this one. My only regret is not having enough time while visiting the area to go back a second time. We had the tuna filet, the salmon burger, and the lobster pie. We shared all of them and had a tough time deciding what was our favorite. The tuna, after some deliberation, was my favorite. It was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. Sitting on the patio was so peaceful I could have stayed for hours. The only thing I could find wrong with this place is that they called themselves a tea room but only had one tea on the menu. The ambiance was definitely that of an eclectic little tea room but there is no great selection of tea to be found. Though I promise after you try the food you will forget all about the tea.

We had the best brunch of our lives at this place. We checked Unilocal before we went there and we were confused of what to order because everything looked so great. So we ended up ordering three entrées. Salmon burger, lobster pie and grilled tuna. Tuna was the best we had specially with the sides that come with it. Lobster pie was great and salmon burger was amazing. All the salads were perfect. We didn’t enjoy the peanut soup much. Everyone there was asking about the tea. It is everyone’s favorite as they brew it daily for long hours and they add five alive to it as the waitress told us. The environment is awesome. Very colorful place with a quite relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely recommend everyone to go at least once to this place

This is a shabby-chic old house on an artists road in a mountain. The cook was able to find food that worked for my milk allergy, and the blanched collard greens in a light vinaigrette were the best I’ve ever had. The sandwich was bland, and of our party, only the person who ordered the burger was exceptionally impressed. The dessert menu was impressive, but we didn’t partake.

High light of our trip food wise First we were welcomed by the owner with out reservation even though she was booked. Upon arrival u sign in and have a seat on her porch.(Call a head make reservations) while we waited we were served there special tea. we are not fans of flavored teas but this was out of this world. It was time to order. after reading the reviews on had the lobster pie with the collared greens while the husband had the salmon burger with the cheddar soup. WELOVEDITALL! If u don’t come here… I hope we we never meet. I am a fat girl at heart and We agreed that every time we visit Gatlinburg this will be a must go to stop. The atmosphere is almost a southern tea room with a brunch environment but the owner will bring a Good laugh and family feel.

Absolutely delicious and wonderful service. A perfect place to slow down and relax to enjoy food and drinks. A beautiful serene garden surrounds the restaurant, and the workers of the restaurant make you feel like you are family. It’s definitely not like any other place in Gatlinburg or touristy by any means. I highly suggest the Lobster Pie. Tip: The menu looks like it changes day by day for Chef’s specials. Many fish options but others available.

I come to Gatlinburg for the hiking and amazing sights, definitely not for the food, but this place is stand alone good enough to make me consider coming back even if the forests fell down and the waterfalls went dry. The tea is the best I’ve ever had(I got it cold, my wife got it warm– I recommend trying it warm) the lobster pie was savory and delicousness(super creamy and rich) the salmon cured sandwich was perfect, and the strawberry shortcake rounded it all off for a home run. Now onto the important stuff. The prices on the menu are pretty reasonable, but they don’t say how expensive the chef specials are. My bill was $ 43(pre-tip) for the lobster pie, salmon sandwich, two drinks and strawberry shortcake. Not terribly overpriced, but more than I normally pay for lunch. Just a tip, prices aren’t listed, may be a good question to ask. The service was fantastic! They insisted that we sample dishes we were unsure about before ordering them, kept our drinks filled constantly, and had great recommendations. This place is a must go if you’re in Gatlinburg!!!

Yeah, yeah, yeah, say what you will about a city boy like me traveling all the way to the mountains to eat solo at a dainty little tea room! BRINGIT! I can take the ribbing… LOL! Just you remember I’m still one of the manliest men around these here parts. Seriously, this is probably one of the girliest places I’ve ever eaten, but it was amazing. The Wild Plum Tea Room is located on the Arts & Crafts loop on the outskirts of Gatlinburg. Not much to look at from the outside and unless you are looking for it, you might just pass it by thinking it was some old flower shop or mill. Parking just outside the doors is limited and tight. But they also have additional parking just up the road. Charming and quirky are the first words to come to mind. Outside is a garden with weird things. Inside you will find small round tables with lace coverings and very girly table settings. Yep, I was the only guy there, but that proved to be a good thing as the ladies treated me very kindly, knowing I was a little uncomfortable being in a place that would clearly repel most humans with my O.L.D condition — overload of testosterone. THEFOOD I was extremely hungry, but also wanted something that wouldn’t make me feel heavy after such a rigorous workout. They start you off with complimentary Wild Plum muffins. Two petite little bite sized pieces with a clear, yet flavorful jelly. I’d read in reviews from both Trip Advisor and Unilocal that the Lobster Pot Pie was the dish to try, so I did. It was AH-MA-ZING! What really surprised me was the amount of lobster inside. Large chunks of lobster claw meat along with artichoke hearts floating in the most incredible sauce I’ve tasted in a long time, just below the flaky golden crust. Pure perfection. The bread pudding was a perfect end to my meal and be sure to try the Wild Plum Tea. I drank nearly 5 cups of it. THEVERDICT My 8 mile hike to Ramsey Cascades today was very difficult on my body. I was in so much pain that I sat exhausted at my table and considered leaving to go back home to Atlanta after a good nights sleep. Ironically, I was encouraged to finish my second goal of hiking Mount LeConte by several ladies I met here. Turns out my visit to this restaurant today did a lot of good for my mind, body, spirit and belly. TRULY and literally a hidden gem! Fellas, check your man pride at the door… you’ll be happy you did. Bön Appetite.
