Our family loves the Gearhart Grocery store! Stepping inside this market is like stepping back into simpler times gone by. Like a bit of American history, the Gearhart Grocery reminds us of the days when«Mom and Pop» corner stores were the delight of the neighborhoods. It’s where friend meets friend and tourist mingle with locals. How fun it is for us to visit this clean, well stocked grocery where there’s always a smiling face behind the counter. We find that the deli is great with homemade salads as well as hot meals and deserts. The staff is cheerful and helpful. A picnic sandwich can be ordered for the fun day on the beach which, is just down the street.

Granted you are not going to go out of your way to go to Gearhart Grocery. But this is a nice little grocery with clean shelves nicely spaced out. And the basics of what you need. They also offer catering; although I’m not sure what they specialize in.

The staff here is terrific! They are chatty and charming and make terrific sandwiches. The vegetable selection is sad, but this sure is an easy place to grocery shop cuz its small. The fresh chicken is amazing and they cut their own beef selections. Check out the pies and cookies, too!

This is a 1st rate small beach town market in a great little community. It’s very well stocked with the usual foodstuffs plus some interesting prepared and deli foods. Solid wine & beer selections and produce. The folks who have houses here and visitors are lucky to have this place to shop at. Much better than choices in other upscale Oregon beach towns!

I am a local. We are fortunate to have this grocery store. The owners can’t turn it into a supermarket but it does have a wide selection of food, including produce, and the prices are fair. In addition to the groceries, beer, wine, it also sells the usual necessities needed by locals and tourists. It provides a place kids can come to spend their change on candy as my wife did 60 years ago when it was really penny candy. As I said, we are fortunate to have it.

Gearhart doesn’t have a lot of stores, but this one is good for lunch or picnic food. They have a really good deli with lots of homemade cold salad choices like potato salad and sandwiches. They also have some healthy snacks in the natural food section. It’s not a big store so their grocery choices are limited. Picking up some picnic foods here and heading a block to the beach works well for me. I’ll stop back here when in the area.

It’s a small tourist town grocery store, so it’s a small town store. There’s everything you need but perhaps not the fancy brands. It’s priced a little higher as expected. The deli people are nice, the sandwiches decent, although again, at 6 bucks, a bit pricier than I expected for the product, which definitely has a «mom made it for me to take outside and eat before I go back to the beach» look. What can I say, it’s a local grocery store for people who want to walk to downtown and not drive to the big store in Seaside.
