This is a cool little restaurant. This isn’t Taco Bell or Chipotle. If you like authentic Mexican, tacos with fresh tortillas, cilantro and onion; homemade tamales, fresh tortilla chips with green and red sauces, all good, go here. Complaints, the tacos were small and the bill for three was $ 45.00, which was seemed a little pricey for tacos. Lastly, check out there case of Mexican pastries near the front counter, good value and delicious.

Great place that by the looks wouldn’t just walk in. The owner is a very nice lady, the dining is Spartan, but the food is WOW! We had the steak tacos, four 6″ flour tortillas loaded with seasoned steak, topped with cilantro and white onions. On the side was some salsa verde and a chink of lime. There was enough food to split with my wife. A great place to eat. You can’t eat the décor, it’s the food that counts, and this is a don’t miss place.

So I got 4 tacos from here. Delicious. I don’t like mine with cilantro or onions. Their tomatillo salsa was delicious. At least that is what I think it was. It had a healthy dose is spice and cilantro. I topped my tacos with a squeeze of lime and the salsa. I sat by the lake and gorged on this. It was pretty tasty. I got three chicken and one pastor. The pastor was a little fatty but overall delicious. The chicken was breast meat and some pieces were smaller and dry but still tasty. It would have gone great with sown homemade tortilla chips for crunch.

For my 500th review I am going to tell you about this little Hispanic grocery store in Geneva, NY of all places that serves delicious Mexican food. Do not be fooled by the entrance, you are inside a small bodega. Go to the back and ask for a menu and order anything. It’s all good. The tacos shine. For $ 8.50 you get 4 small open faced tacos on CORN tortillas. Choices are: carne asada, pollo, Al pastor and chorizo. We tried them all. Yum. With simple lime, cilantro and onions these brought us right back to the California flavors we crave. The female owner took our order, cooked our food and served us. She came to gather avocados, tomatillos and cilantro and MADETOORDER our salsa. It was AMAZING. For $ 20 we had a delicious lunch complete w Mexican coke. We will be back!

My family stopped by this place for lunch on our way home from Ottawa. We ordered the following items: Pastor Tacos Chicken Enchiladas with Green Sauce Chicken Fajitas I thought the food was good and it tasted homemade. We especially enjoyed the complementary chips and guacamole. Service was very friendly. Like others said, the dining area is very small. I think there were a total of 8 seats so maybe they do mostly carry out.

Incredible food in the back of this little market. Not only is the food some of the best Mexican comfort food I’ve ever had, but the store employees are very hospitable.

Stopped here based on Unilocal reviews and was not disappointed. I ordered the medium chorizo torta and a tamarind juice. The enormous sandwich was stuffed with chorizo and Oaxaca cheese, sliced avocados, tomatoes, and lettuce. Fresh flavors balanced well — it was a rich and delicious meal. My dining partners ordered quesadillas which they both truly enjoyed(though the verdict was that my sandwich was the outstanding choice). La Reyna de Mexico offers great food. It’s also a grocery store — and I got to hear about the interesting items on the shelves behind me from my dining partner.

The décor and setting could use improvement, especially because it is so tiny. It leaves something to be desired. Other than that, this place is amazing! ! I ordered an enchilada and my husband ordered the brisket tacos. His mom ordered a burrito. We all LOVED our food. It was quick, fresh and authentic. They also started us with perfect chips and some avocado-tomatillo salsa. I will be back! !!

Very unassuming. It is a Mexican market with a few tables in the back. Don’t be intimidated — just let the employee know you’re there for a meal. It is a modest menu you but a good selection. Probably the most authentic Mexican food I’ve had since I was in Mexico. Good-sized portions and very inexpensive. My burrito was served with homemade guacamole and sauce. Everything was delicious.

A colleague and I stopped in yesterday for some lunch. I ordered a chicken and cheese burrito and my colleague ordered a carne asada burrito. We waited in the back at the tables and they brought us warm tortilla chips and this delicious guacamole that had a nice kick to it. It was the best guacamole I have ever had. The one guy there, the owner’s son, was very pleasant and helpful. He brought us some salsa verde when our meals came and it was also very delicious. It felt like we were eating a home cooked meal– very authentic! Both burrito’s were the medium size and HUGE! We are definitely going back. Great food, very warm and hospitable people.

I stopped here yesterday for lunch with a co-worker while in town for work… it’s definitely a bit unassuming and frankly confusing when you walk in as they don’t speak much English and they probably don’t have much experience running a restaurant, but once you get your food, nothing else matters lol I ordered the green enchiladas and my co-worker ordered a chorizo torta… the food arrived relatively quick considering they seem to have a staff of 3 and the food is cooked to order… while we waited we snacked on the fried cops and fresh salsa verde… my enchiladas were a bit different then expected… they were stuffed with a sense cheese and the chicken was put on top, probably to allow them to use the same enchiladas with other meats, with that said, I enjoyed them, good flavor and just enough spice(I’m not huge on spice) it’s definitely enough food for dinner, too much for lunch, I brought home half my co-worker seemed to like his torta

The décor inside… who cares. If you went to Mexico, this is exactly what you would find with a little grocery/taco shop. The food is out of this world and no where except San Diego or Mexico itself have I ever had such authentic and delicious Mexican food. The chorizo tacos are to die for. I have gotten take-out from here several times on the recommendation of several others, and I just hope that everyone goes To La Reyna to enjoy the food so that they succeed. I want them to stay open forever!

My partner and I moved to Geneva from San Diego, CA last May. Since then, we have tried almost every Mexican restaurant within a 25 mile radius of Geneva and several in Rochester. When we first got here, we went to La Reyna, walked in the door and walked back out because it basically looks like a Mexican grocery store with a couple of tables in the rear. Today, since we had run out of Mexican restaurant options, we decided to try La Reyna. Well, we REALLY regret not giving this place a chance on our first visit as we now realize that we wasted 6+ months eating mediocre Mexican food because La Reyna lacked«décor». This place is the REAL deal. Their menu includes«street» tacos, real carne-asada, tortas, chilquiles, tamales and menudo. We had carne asada tacos, tacos al pastor and a carne asada burrito for lunch. The carne asada tacos had only cilantro and onions on a small corn tortilla but the carne asada, beans rice, avocado pico de gallo and avocado. was REAL. The tacos al pastor came in a red sauce and literally melted in your mouth. They were incredibly good. The burrito was huge and packed with carne asada We also had fresh tortilla chips with two different kinds of salsa. The red salsa was medium hot and had a chipotle flavor. The green salsa was out of this world… a creamy concoction with bits of green chilies and a great kick to it. As stated earlier, the décor is not much to talk about it but the owners are very nice, the cook came out to see how everything was, and the food was terrific!!! If you know what authentic Mexican food is, try this place… you won’t be disappointed. My partner and I will be eating here at least once a week from now on.

Wow, what great and authentic Mexican food! Upon entering the establishment it appears to be a little market, however, either pick up a menu at the register or go to the back of the store and take a seat to order. Once we sat down, we had some complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa has a chipotle smokey flavor. Very rich and pretty spicy, but overall very good. The chips were warm and crisp. I ordered two chorizo tacos and two pastor tacos. As pictured, it came out with just meat, cilantro, and onion. Frankly, that’s all it needs. Unlike the tex-mex restaurants in the area, the meat has been marinating for hours. It was very savory and had great depth of flavor. I definitely recommend them to anyone who visits and will be back to explore other items on the menu.

Fantastic. I can’t speak more highly of this place. Everything is delicious, fresh and authentic as the ingredients and techniques are straight from Oaxaca, Mexico, according to the chef/owners. The taco platter is delicious and reasonably priced, I especially appreciate the amount of fresh cilantro, tomatoes and red onions on the tacos, the burrito is GIGANTIC(for a medium, they do have a large size, but I’ve never ordered it) and their guacamole is fresh and made to order. They also have freshly fried corn tortilla chips and salsa with your meal at lunch. Highly, highly recommended. This spot is a far cry from Mexican-American fast food joints and burrito bars; truly authentic Mexican food.
