This place is great! Very affordable with a lot of options. The BBQ pork is delicious as well as the Philly cheesesteak and hashbrowns. We ordered the chocolate Ding Dong cake and it’s to die for!

Just finished my first meal at Babe’s and we will definitely be back. I rarely review a restaurant, but this place was awesome. The smoked pork chops were amazing. The staff was super and the food came fast.

This place is worth driving a little outside of Georgetown. It has a friendly, down-home atmosphere with old country music playing over speakers. Service was great the night I visited. I tried the pulled pork sandwich and mac n cheese, which were both good. Also tasted the brisket(very good) and broccoli casserole(very very good). But the high-light of the night was most definitely dessert. I highly recommend the ding dong cake. It was delicious.

We just moved here from Kansas and saw this place had BBQ. We stopped in for lunch. The staff were extremely friendly the food was fantastic and they actually have a very extensive menu. The desserts are homemade and the Pecan Cobbler was awesome. We will definitely be eating here often and trying all the different options they have on the menu. I had the pulled pork and my husband had the ribs. The BBQ was as good as any we had in Kansas and Kansas is famous for BBQ so that’s saying a lot right there. Also the portions were a very good size so we certainly felt we got what we paid for in every aspect.

I’ve been to Babe’s three times, each well within their advertised business hours. 2 of the 3 times they have been inexplicably closed. The last time, a couple of weeks ago, there was no sign on the door explaining the situation or offering amended hours of operation. They do not answer their phone. While the one time I did find them open, the takeout barbecue was quite good(better than Red State), it’s unacceptable to not keep regular business hours and to refuse to communicate with customers about whatever the issue is. This is all the more true because the restaurant is inconveniently located. I won’t be wasting anymore gasoline to drive out there on the 33% chance they have decided to open the restaurant on any given day.

Had the open faced roast beef and it was not rich and full of flavor like I would have expected. Seemed like the gravy was too runny and bland. Would probably stick to ordering from the BBQ menu items– those I know are good

This place was so with the wait! I think there needs to be an OMG button. It’s two blocks from the Georgetown campus in a rural broke down area. If you’re missin mamma and grammas cookin, ya gotta visit! They serve the most unexpected meals here. They serve everything you can think of. We heard the bbq was the best. That was the purpose of this visit. We tried a ton of things. The food actually brought tears to my eyes because it was just like my grandma’s. I haven’t had anything like hers. Last time I had her cooking was when I was about thirteen before she passed. We had the sweetest lil waitress. She was like a miniature dolly pardon. Between the pictures on the wall, the food and the waitress, I was taken back to my childhood. My only wish is that this place was closer to my home. Psst. They even have frog legs. You won’t believe how large, how good and how cheap the prices are.

Great tasting BBQ that is worth the 5 minute drive from the interstate. Two of us shared the BBQ sampler with meats that were super tender and flavorful. It was smoked without being overpowering. Plenty for two. My kids ate the chicken strips which were actual pieces of chicken breaded and fried to order. The service was wonderful. Eat local.

I was glad to recently discover this restaurant and have ordered their takeout twice in the past month. Their phone is not currently working but don’t let that throw you… they are very much OPEN for business. They have carried over some menu items from their previous restaurant venture and I’m a big fan of two of their sides: the cowboy beans and babes taters. Both the baby back and St. Louis ribs are excellent and we also enjoy the pulled pork and potato salad. At their previous establishment they offered delicious made from scratch pies and desserts and I hope they will reintroduce these in the near future. The only change I would recommend is a homemade in-house barbecue sauce rather than the Sweet Baby Ray’s they currently offer. Babes delivers delicious barbecue and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Browsing Unilocal and came across this gem. Did a quick call for carryout. Word of advice — if you order the BBQ sampler, you better be hungry! A lot of meat(ribs, beef, pork) plus two sides(baked beans and potato salad for me) and a cornbread pancake. My favorite was the beef, it had a nice smokey flavor. Baked beans had a bit of a kick, and potato salad was nice and creamy. I’ll be back!

Downtown Georgetown view & excellent barbecue! Hometown restaurant with yummy food. I had the beef brisket sandwich & the lava cake… everyone had to try the cake. :) Went with 6 other people and no complaints. Also choices for those who don’t want BBQ. Moist & delicious!

My husband and I have been to Babe’s several times now and each time we have enjoyed it! We have sampled a variety of foods and have never been disappointed. The homemade hot dog sauce is very good! The brisket was moist and had just the right amount of smoke. The hamburgers were cooked perfectly. This week, I had the hand it ribeye with baked potato and salad. The salad is HUGE! The steak was extremely tender and could be cut with a fork! It was one of the best steaks I’ve had in a very long time. With all that being said, the real reason to go to Babe’s is for the ding dong cake. The best I’ve ever had. They serve a variety of desserts each day and all are Unilocal worthy!

We ordered a cheeseburger with fries, a aside od mashed potatoes and tried both of their white and brown gravy. The potatoes are the lumpy homemade kind, not a bad thing. we really enjoyed the white gravy, both were good, and the cheeseburger met the delight of the tastebuds. We will be back again. Had not tried the main items items they are known for.

My fam & I have been here 2x. Great, personal service each time. True homecooking. We’ve had(shared off each other’s plates!) meatloaf(better than C. Barrel), mac-n-cheese, fried taters, white bean soup, open faced roast beef layered w/mashed taters-n-gravy, fresh corn, dressing, smoked turkey(omg!), cornbread & rolls. Huge portions, quick service, family oriented atmosphere(love). Ya gotta try Teresa’s ding dong cake(love the choc version but other flavors are usually available). Son had the dreamsicle version ohmy! S’berry was featured once, other flavors to come. This is a real jewel of a place. Nothing fancy just comfort food made with love!

Tried the new Babe’s BBQ for lunch. Great food — Super nice people! We got country fried steak, fried apples, home fries, ½ slab of ribs, cowboy beans and mashed potatoes. Cornbread and a yeast roll. Then tried Pumpkin Spice Cake for dessert. All were great and the recipes will definitely familiar. If you’re missing some good olé BBQ from Georgetown give them a try.
