Burned out a few weeks back and apparently not reopening.

There BBQ pulled pork sandwiches are to die for! I would most definitely compare sergeant’s gallery to red state BBQ. I love good BBQ. The workers are friendly and the environment has a lot of history.

Today was my second visit and it was as amazing as my first, so I thought it time to review the place. The food, the service, the atmosphere — all were outstanding! I would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in good cooking, in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. I had the catfish dinner — excellent! I will be returning there.

Excellent service! Very delicious BBQ, and BBQ sauce. Everything I had for dinner was excellent! The overall feel and esthetic of the diner is very neat, and I highly recommend stopping if you are in the area. The value of what you receive for the price is excellent in my opinion. I highly recommend the meatloaf sandwich which is smoked, and their seasoned fries and steak fries are GREAT!

This is one of my FAVORITE restaurants! The food is always good quality and delicious. They’re actually concerned about what(I think) makes a good restaurant… quality, service, & cleanliness. And they’re friendly too! I seriously have too many favorites to name. But 1 thing I’ll mention is that I don’t like cole slaw much at all, but LOVE it here!

Wow — hidden gem. I had the Cajun catfish and my wife had a brisket sandwich. Both were outstanding, flavorful, and hearty. The place is right off 74 so easy to get to.

Lovely little spot right off exit 129 down 25. Pretty outdoor seating area. Indoor has cute décor. Nice waitresses and the place is very clean. Now on to the food. Disco fries are amazing. That’s it from this trip. All three of us had something different. The Private burger was grossly over cooked, leathery. The other burger was good but lack luster even with beer cheese topping. The house recommended spaghetti and meatballs was unremarkable. Meatballs were good but my plate had sat long enough that the noodles without sauce were drying and the noodles under the sauce were bloating. The salads were nothing more than a handful of mixed greens, some cheese, tomatoes, and croutons. All this and no alcohol license to compensate.

Thank you very much. My wife almost had an orgasm over the pulled pork and pecan pie. Delivery is great for Mallard Point!

My wife and I were hesitant to try this solely because it’s housed in what used to be Fat Boys BBQ. We love a good BBQ but Fat Boys was way too. Fatty. We’re we in for a surprise! I will NOT judge a book by it’s cover ever again. The family that runs this restaurant are totally involved in making sure the customer has a a dining experience that’s worth more than what they are paying for. I’ve eaten at top tier steak houses that couldn’t serve as well as Sergeant’s Galley. Veteran flare and family history decorate the old walls and are a fun(& humbling) study while you wait for your food. We wanted to go twice before I wrote a review to ensure we weren’t just there on a good day. Nope, every day seems to be a good day. All the food we’ve tried is amazing. Burgers are huge and juicy, cooked perfectly. Meatball sub is off the hook. Hot wings are stupid good too. Will be going back many a times.

I joined my parents one Friday night for supper and we all found our experience to be great. The food is homemade, hot, and in generous portions. I think what impressed me most is that the owner, who was actively cooking in the kitchen, took time to come out and shake our hands and ask us how our meal was, etc. The thing was, as he and my mom went back and forth talking about the dishes, you could really see it in his face that he was truly wanting to know what she thought. He was listening and focused and it showed that he really cared. Then his wife, who also was busy working, came over and talked to us also. These folks want to do well and want to improve and want to expand their menu and I think that soon in time, they will have a top notch country diner, roadside destination. It’s quite good now but, with their obvious passion and desire to improve, Sergeant’s Galley is probably going to be one of the best.

Driving down 25, you’ll notice this rustic-looking restaurant off the side of the road near a cluster of RVs and vehicles. This is Sergeant’s Gallery. After spotting this place a few times, I told my husband about it and we stopped for lunch on a warm February afternoon. We were delighted with this family-owned restaurant that is clearly proud of their military background. The walls are adorned with military memorabilia and American pride; even the names of the menu items have military names. I love all things rustic, so I especially enjoyed the log cabin ‘feel’ of the place. I opted for a fried shrimp basket with country greens in lieu of coleslaw; my husband ordered a burger that came with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese(some kind of pizza burger). Both dishes also came with seasoned frieds that were amazing. I could have eaten just a huge serving of fries for lunch and been satisfied. Drool, yum. The shrimp was good, but next time I won’t get the country greens — just not my style. My husband loved his burger. The whole meal was excellent — just the kind of meal we needed. Our bill was a little over $ 20(including two sodas), not bad at all for two hearty, homemade meals from a family-owned restaurant. The bathrooms are small, but kind of fun — if you like tiny, rustic bathrooms. There is, however, a slight sewer smell that lingers in the air. I hesitate to mention this, but feel as if I should make note of it to ‘warn’ anyone. It’s a country restaurant — there’s nothing that can be done about it. You’ll forget about it once you have your delicious food, though. We are definitely coming back. You should too.

The sign over the cash register reads«Come in as a customer, leave as a friend.» At Sergeant’s Galley, it is very true. Very nice personal touch. Our dining experience tonight was nothing short of fantastic! This was my families first time dining at Sergeants and it was amazing!!! My wife and I shared the Meat Sampler which features a portion of three of their main dishes, Beef Brisket, Pulled pork and Smoked Meatloaf. The Smoked Meatloaf’s smoked flavor was unlike anything I have ever tasted. It was very mild, not over bearing and the pork and beef brisket were moist, full of flavor and tender enough to cut with a fork. The portions were plentiful enough that my wife and I were able to share the Sampler Plater and both walked away not wanting more. This may have been my first time to eat at Sergeant’s but it for sure will not be my last. I highly recommend Sergeant’s for your next night out.

Jay and his family and staff are amazing. They catered my party this evening and I can’t tell you how many compliments I had on the food(of course I gave you full credit, Jay) :). The brisket was perfect, people demanded the recipe for Mac n cheese, and that strawberry chocolate pie– oh, myyy! Everything was neatly packaged, so easy to unload, and fit perfectly into my servers, plus was ready right on time. The pretzels and beer cheese were indescribable. The best I heard someone say was simply buttery and delicious. I cannot tell you how easy and good it was for Sergeant’s Galley to make dinner for my family and friends(fed about 15). I will not even hesitate to get them to cater for me again!

This place is a welcome addition to Georgetown. It’s the closest restaurant to my house and one of the friendliest. The owners left corporate jobs to follow their dream of running a restaurant. The food is homecooked and delicious. It is a big improvement over Fat Boys BBQ that used to be there. I liked the food at Fat Boys, but the intense cigarette smell made me hesitant to bring my child. Now, it’s a very family friendly atmosphere, remodeled inside and a great place to go for a family meal out when you don’t feel like cooking.

Me and a friend stopped in after geocaching in the area, there special of the evening was Smoked meatloaf with 2 sides, so we decided to split it between us, it was very good meatloaf, the mashed potatoes and gravy reminded me much of Kentucky Fried Chicken mashed potatoes and gravy in texture and flavor, which I do like KFC mashed potatoes, so this was a good thing. My friend had the green beans and said they were good. It took a little longer then usual to get the bill after we were done eating. This may have been the only negative this trip. about an hour later, my mom wanted to try their cheeseburger, so we did a to-go order, the fries were really good and enjoyed the seasoning they used, the burger itself was just average. this perfectly think shaped patty, probably would not get a burger again. I will still give the dine experience thou 4 stars. Nice friendly people to dine with, very clean.

Really more like a 4.5. This is such a great place to add to Georgetown. Real food not fast food. Friendly staff. I had the pizza burger(dont remember the menu name for that) it was great and huge. I was stuffed. As a side I upgrade to the red potatoes and they were great. Fresh, hot food. They server brought out the food and explained that a couple of my potatoes had fallen so they were making me a few extra. When the«extra» arrived it was a whole additional order. Yes that is customary in some places but in Georgetown not expected. Can’t wait to go back and bring family.
