Just started eating and found a nice long hair in the beans. The waitress who was very attentive happened to see my wife pulling the hair out of her mouth came over and asked. She offered to have the Owner remove one meal from the bill and did. When we paid the owner acted a little irritated and instead of apologizing tells me «hang in there better luck next time». Are you kidding me we will never be back. Look in the kitchen no one(not one person) is wearing a hair net. Might explain what happened.

Really great food and service. Had a nice dinner with the family and everyone cleaned their plates– which is rare(2– picky 3 yr olds). The best coleslaw and hush puppies I’ve ever had, we took a bread pudding home To go and it just like the rest of the meal didn’t disappoint

I had eaten many times at the Catfish Parlour in South Austin, but just discovered the one in Georgetown and, just like the other one, this one is a hit. Great catfish, beans, slaw, fries, hush puppies and the lunch is all you can eat on the sides so well worth the price of a 3 or 4 piece catfish lunch plate considering all the extras you get. Service is good too. If you go on Sunday it is not a buffet but they still give you all you need for the sides but they bring it to you. I recommend this place, especially if you are real hungry. The catfish is perfectly cooked and fresh, not frozen.

The food is fantastic. The staff are wonderful. The food was good enough that my 5 and 3 year old kids bypassed their root beer floats to eat their fish. 10 – 10 would recommend to everyone who likes good southern food and hospitality.

We just visited for the first time in a year. It was the best service I have had since living in Georgetown for the last 6 years. My 9 year old son said he wanted me to make sure and rate this place 5 stars. Everything was fresh from the salad bar to the catfish. Hats off to the management and owners.

The cole slaw is to die for! …and I don’t eat cole slaw… But theirs is so damn good! No mayo in it. This location is a million times better than the one in South Austin off of 71.

I love this place. It’s a bit over my lunch budget so I don’t go often but when I go, I get fried catfish, beans, veggies, a salad, hush puppies, and jalapeño tarter sauce. SOGOOD! I could probably just have enough with a salad and those hush puppies. I really like their lemon pepper grilled catfish too. I haven’t tried anything else because I LOVE their fish and feel like I would regret not getting it, although I’m sure their other entrees are good too… I live in Hutto but work in Gtown now so I’m glad I have the parlour in my life again!

Just got back from CP. it is really a fun place. We all had fried catfish, I had the spicy. The spices were just how I like, there, and leaves a slight tingle on your tongue, but in no way«hot». The others had the regular, and said it was also very good. Caesar salad lettuce was very crisp and fresh. The cole slaw was the best I have EVER tasted, I wish I had the recipe. It was an oil and vinegar dressing, not mayo based. I didn’t care for the hush puppies, but I don’t really like them anywhere. The regular tartar sauce was good. The jalapeño was ok. The beans were very good! But then I dearly love beans. All in all, CP is a lot of fun, with lots of crazy crap on the walls. It kinda neat to just walk around and look. Waitstaff were attentive but not hovering. Owner was also checking on tables. He seems to honestly care about his guests. Yes, I will most certainly return.

what a fabulous fun discovery — our first time here! the food: we enjoyed fried Gulf oysters, catfish, blackened mahi maji and shrimp with all-you-can-eat Caesar salad, no-mayo coleslaw, hand-rolled hushpuppies, with exceptional traditional tarter sauce and jalapeño tarter sauce, pinto beans, sauteed w/bacon cabbage, all ofvwhich had us coming back for seconds +! All the food was perfect & appropriate temperatures! Most importantly the ambience and the folks that own it and work here are awesome! everyone was warm and welcoming! we are going to keep coming back over and over again to this nice place — oh and the variety of beers was great!!!

I tried the gluten free menu and had fried catfish for the first time in over 8 years. YUMMY! The hush puppies and slaw were delicious. The waitstaff asked if I had celiac disease or if it was«just a diet» which at first irritated me because I am gluten intolerant and get very ill for days when I accidentally ingest gluten. The waitstaff was attentive and helpful other than that one comment so I was satisfied with the service. Thank you catfish parlour for offering gluten free options.

Friendly owner and staff. A lot nicer than the one in Austin, more menu choices. Had the all you can eat shrimp and it was good. Good Happy Hour pricing on drinks.

On the way down south, we usually stop to eat here. Hell, we’ve drove here to eat and came right back before. The fried catfish is good here. It’s always fresh and tasty. They have a salad bar or «fixins» as they call it that comes with your meal. The last time we came I got the grilled catfish and it was great. Always enjoyed my meals here. It’s been a few months since we came to eat. We are overdue for a visit!

I had a surprise birthday party for my Dad here. The staff was great! We brought in our own cake, they brought out cake plates and utensils. The food was good as always. The coleslaw is so yummy! Have always enjoyed catfish parlour and we’ll just keep going back!

On the way home from my parents’ house in Sun City, we realized we were pretty hangry and decided to give the north location a try. It had been a while since we’ve been for fried catfish and all the fixins. I had been dreaming about this specific coleslaw, and had been all over town trying to find it — and it was the stuff at Catfish Parlor. So, so good. It’s herby and vinegar-y and wonderful. The beans were just ok, but the hushpuppy sticks are out of this world. The salad bar is lettuce, dressing, and cheese, but hey, you’re here for other things. As for the main course — just as you’d expect from a place that specializes in fried seafood — it was awesome(fresh, not soggy, etc). The jalapeño tartar sauce is just about the perfect accompaniment to any fried food. The only thing I remembered differently, and this may be that it was dinner, not lunch, or this location does it differently, was that there was a buffet bar of sides. And I think there was a larger variety. Not that I was lacking for food(oh my gosh, no), but that was different. The service was great, the restaurant is cute and kitchy, and we even got sent home with the recipe for the coleslaw!!! It’s never tasted as good when I made it, but that just means I’ll need to come back to, uh, sample more of it. For science.

Fried Fried Fried goodness here. But the real reason to belly up to this fried fishery is the coleslaw. It is down right the best non mayo based coleslaw I have ever had. I think I eat more of it when I go to Catfish parlor than anything else in the place. The hush puppies are nothing to sneeze at either. Big and tasty! If you get a chance to go, I think its better at dinner than at lunch.

Quick and easy ! I love how its like an exact replica of the original location off 183. But the staff here is definitely nicer. I work in GT so this location is beyond convenient for me to grab my quick fix of GREAT catfish. I really cannot tell you how nice the staff is here, way better than there other locations. There express lunch was really nice, super quick and easy no fuss at all!

I’ve passed this particular Catfish Parlour location quite a few times since my parents moved to Georgetown. Been wanting to try it out, so we finally stopped in on Sunday for lunch. The somewhat new building lead me to believe the interior would feel new as well… but it actually seemed pretty dated. The décor really made me feel like I was in a hole-in-the-wall, which is fine if that’s what they were going for… just didn’t seem like the exterior and interior really went together. I was fully expecting a plethora of fried foods, but I’m currently trying to watch my figure so I greatly appreciated the assortment of grilled plates on the menu. All entrees include a «ceasar salad bar» and side. The salad bar kind of grossed me out, not sure why restaurants still do anything buffet style. Just seems unsanitary… and would it kill them to whip up a couple of salads in the kitchen? I was really happy with my actual meal though. The Spicy Grilled Catfish Filet was perfectly prepared… but be forewarned: their version of «spicy» does have a kick to it, so don’t order unless you like your food pretty fiery. The staff seemed pretty cold. Our server was an older lady and wasn’t really into conversing with her clientele. This might not be the job for her. Would have probably had a more pleasant experience if she had even 10% more personality than what she gave off. But then again, this is Georgetown… not exactly hopping with young, vibrant people in the service industry. I’ll probably be back to try out some of the other grilled menu items. Hopefully I encounter some more friendly employees the next time I visit this spot.
