I like Dr. McGuire, quite a bit. He is a very good optometrist. However, the way his office is run leaves a lot to be desired, The prominently state that they accept walk-ins, but I have been twice and was not able to be seen without an appointment on another day. My first visit I arrived about 45 minutes before closing and was told they don’t take walk-ins during the last hour(not posted anywhere!!) That time I went ahead and made the appointment. I was very pleased with the exam itself. However, my last visit again was greeted with«no walk-in exams available.» I can live with this except for one fact: they do not post that on their door when they have no openings. In this case, I arrived during their 1 – 2 pm lunch hour and waited 30 minutes just to find out they were not taking walk-ins. If they had simply placed a «no walk-ins available today» sign on the door, I could have gone ahead and found another optometrist to help me that day! Please Dr. McGuire, when you are booked up, set out a sign saying no walk-ins today. Put a note that says no walk-ins after 5 pm or whatever your time limit is. If you do that, your customers will appreciate the quality care you provide and not grouse about bad customer service in setting appointments!
