Nice facility and at first so were the people. After the initial screening, I set up a series of appointments, mostly on Monday as it works best for me. I intentionally skipped a Monday since I was going to be out of town. Evidently, when I missed the Monday appointment I did not make, this practice decided to cancel my subsequent appointments without notifying me. When I showed up today for the appointment I did make, I was simply ignored and left to wait. New to the area, but I am sure there are other chiropractors.

I have been a patient at Georgetown Family Wellness for almost two years now. In the past I have had a couple of issues with the front desk check in/out people. Today I went for my regular adjusting and was informed that I needed to pay $ 57.00 after I was done. I asked why and was told that insurance was no longer covering maintenance. I then asked why I wasn’t told this before I was seen and the woman said that she couldn’t tell if it was maintenance or not. She was rude about it and manager was not any better. They could of at least said sorry instead of ‘oh well that’s just the way it is.’ I will be looking for another chiropractor with a better front office staff asap! I just feel that I should have been told prior to service being provided that this change had occurred. It’s just common courtesy. p. s. The actual doctor there is great and it’s a shame that she is possibly losing a lot of business because of the bad attitudes in the front office. Learn some basic customer service!

I had been quite a regular patient 4 years ago but since then had not had issues. I recently pinched a nerve and could not get out of bed. I tried to get in to get emergency help & was told that since I was not a recent patient I would need to go through new patient screening, which they couldn’t book for another week. The lack of compassion from this«healthcare provider» for an existing patient is unacceptable. It makes me question if they are only in business to make money from customers who come in for wellness on a regular basis. Obviously those of us who only reach out when there’s medical need are not welcome. I seriously question the ethics of this chiropractor & I will share this concern with everyone I know. Please be careful before doing business with them.

I started seeing Dr. Tranter for acupuncture a few years ago and my allergies have improved immensely. I was skeptical at first because I’ve tried holisitic medicine before and the practictioners all seemed to be the type that think hugs cure everything and that not showering is a good thing. Dr. Tranter explains everything as he is doing it and consistently researches new techniques to utilize in his practice. Additionally, he does not talk about auras, chakras, spirit worlds, or make you choke from incense. In fact after your appointment he gives you candy.
