Maurices

Good news! Kohl’s isn’t the only place in Georgetown for new clothes! There’s a Maurice’s! Woo-​hoo! I was pretty darn excited to notice Maurice’s a few weeks ago (after blindly passing it all the time). Maurice’s isn’t the best clothing store ever, nor is it supposed to be upscale or cater to ladies beyond 30 years old, but hey — it’s an option.
This location? Well, a bit smaller than others. And the clothes seemed more trendy/​club-​ish/​expensive than usual, too. Basic tank tops ran $ 12+ — eek. There seemed to be more black, glittery, lacy top than anything else. Where were all the flannel shirts and casual tees? Shoe selection was very limited. Jeans were reasonably priced, but the quality wasn’t there. I don’t know. Maybe my expectations were skewed. Or my perception is off. But after I left, I wasn’t really excited about this location anymore…

Great little shop offering stylish clothing at great prices. I frequent here often and the staff is always friendly and very helpful. They always have something on sale so that you can find something that you are looking for at the right price.
