Ken is great to work with, creates very unique and interesting pieces, and is always a pleasure to hang out with and talk about his travels to boot. I have several pieces he’s made. Get better than going in, describing in nebulous but somewhat descriptive terms and having a piece of jewelry that is uniquely you when all is said and done. Ken is very knowledgeable about gem stones and one of the few jewelers I’d actually trust to leave a loose stone with. Of particular note, you can describe something definitive and distinct and he is able to translate that into an abstract piece that calls your original image to mind(and I am not one of those people who can see the images in impressionist paintings or 3d couch art). Ken’s shop is worth the drive(the jewelry and unique pieces he’s brought back from his travels are worth spending time looking at). Just don’t make the mistake of stopping down the street at the Happy Cooker for lunch(yuk, used to like that place — more in another review).
