Been here several times now and have not been disappointed. Yes it’s a bit pricey but so is Starbucks and this place has better coffee in my opinion. Their pumpkin spiced latte is the best I’ve tried. The pumpkin is not your fake syrup its natural and you can taste it. I tried the Caribbean mocha and a slice of carrot cake today. Loved them both! I get my essential oils from here too. The staff is friendly, the owner is kind. I will keep coming back! Love that it’s adjacent to the library.

Too expensive now. This use be be decent price, but now for just a plain old grilled cheese and a bag of chips over $ 8. Wow, it was not that good. The sandwiches use to come with a side, now they charge 6 to 7:50 for a sandwich and then another $ 1.50 for chips. WHY??? Now I feel like I need to bring my own snacks to the library. What a shame!

This is an amazing little coffee/lunch shop. Simple menu with healthy choices. A relaxing setting inside the library. It’s a great place to treat the kiddo to lunch on a Saturday.

Still 5 star! Great service and delicious coffee drinks. I had the non fat Caribbean frappé(mocha/coconut). Hubby had a hot coffee & a gelato. I tasted the gelato. Was yummy. The lady that owns this place is very sweet. We enjoy going here. The lunches and snacks are delicious. It’s located in the G’town library. Worth a visit.

Great coffee house. Stop by today for a lavender latte. Very good. They have local honey, teas, oils you can purchase. Plus some yummy desserts. Georgetown is really turning into a place to hang.

Soy Mocha was great. Nice staff. I’ll return next time I’m in town. Outdoor seating area looked cute. Once inside, you’re inside the library too.

I like everything that they have to offer but they are a little pricey for a coffee shop, but hey I guess you have to stay in business some how. Although there wasn’t a line my drink was incorrect and they lady acted like I wasn’t there as she scolded the younger lad that seem to be screwing everything up. Maybe it was her son.

I get that they’re a small private owned shop but they are way overpriced. What’s worse, they won’t even let you take so much as a napkin unless you buy food from them. Ridiculous! Never heard of this before, even from family owned food shops… Very disappointed, don’t recommend.

I spend a lot of time in the Georgetown library doing homework upstairs. So to be able to go downstairs and get something to eat is super convenient. The prices are a little high, especially for what you get but I eat here because it is convenient. They have fruit cups in their case and nerd focus energy drinks which I love! Their turkey pesto panini is pretty good and so is the roast beef.

I went in today to get something light to eat. The owner was in the middle of a conversation with a personal friend at the counter and ignored me for about 8 minutes. Then, once I ordered, she and her only staff member talked about my order as though I weren’t standing right there within ear shot — it’s clear they are not running a customer centric business. Georgetown has such a wonderful downtown, I’m extremely disappointed. I’m also surprised they’ve been in business this long — Georgetown usually demands better.

This place is a hidden gem. They have Gluten free options, sandwiches, muffins & sweets at a reasonable price. I come here for breakfast at least twice per week & am always warmly greeted. I highly recommend stopping by here and also indulging in coffee & their extensive drink menu.

I was hoping for iced tea or some sort of frozen coffee drink when I went in here after a trip to the library… They only had bottled cold drinks, though… I ended up just getting a muffin since I had a bottle of water with me already, and I don’t care for soft drinks. The muffin was good and only $ 2, and there was a nice menu of sandwiches, so I will probably try coming here again some time when I want lunch instead of a snack. They do have a very nice patio, I would think it would be a great place to relax and read for a bit :) Huh, I’ve had a couple of people contact me since I posted this saying they do have iced tea and coffee… The lady working the counter the day I was in must have been new or misunderstood me, because all she did was point me to the drinks in the cooler. I’ll go in and give them another try.

this place gets 3 stars from me mostly because of the convenience of the location(right inside the public library) and the variety of seating options(booths, tables & chairs inside; tables & chairs on the outside patio). while they seemed to have quite an extensive menu with sandwich, soup & salad options available, the pricing seemed a bit high for a tiny café located in a library. i was in the mood for something to drink & a small snack, so opted for their cinnamon muffin & a cold drink from the cooler. the muffin was just okay, but well-priced for the size. the customer service here is definitely lacking, as the woman working behind the counter(the manager??) barely spoke to me & offered no personality whatsoever. the tiny space is a bit cluttered, but overall it’s a decent place to relax inside or outside the library.

This place is located in the Georgetown Public Library, but you don’t have to be a library card holder to use this place. It’s kind of rinky-dink but still is nice to have a good size booth, open up your notebook or netbook, and enjoy the quiet environment. There is outdoor seating also. They serve a variety of foods and drinks. Their smoothies are quite good.

I work at the Georgetown Palace Theater and let me tell you, the Red Poppy Coffee Co. always keeps me going! Not only is the service always kind, friendly, and enjoyable but if you take a look at the items on the menu and look around the register — all of the food is either organic and/or local. There are Annie snacks and leather fruit snacks to pick up if you are in a hurry(like me). I had their grilled cheese sandwich and basil tomato soup(with coconut) and it was sooooo tasty! As a vegetarian, I was super delighted to see how many options they had for veggies. :) I am a HUGE fan of supporting local businesses and having this little shop located inside the library just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Thank you to the barista and the owner for providing such great quality food and amazing coffee that keeps me going when I have rehearsals until 11pm nightly. SUPPORTLOCALBUSINESSES like Red Poppy Coffee!!!
