I think Cianfrani must be one of the most frequented places in Georgetown. You can sit there, and eventually the whole city will walk in, grab a cup and either sit down or stroll back out the door. My friend and I chose to sit and stay — in overstuffed lounge chairs and watch Georgetown go by on a lazy Thursday. We came in and looked at their expansive chalkboard above the ordering counter of options. We were thankful that the barista was patient with us, as it took us a moment to scan the massive boards of specialties. We also noticed that they had tons of whole bean coffees you can buy, as well as mugs,(and mugs stored for regulars!) and some pastries. We both opted for lattes — I added the Hawaiian Sea Salt Caramel to mine and it was incredibly good. The coffee was very well balanced and I didn’t detect any bitterness or high acidity which was nice. The entire space is nicely done, and very comfortable. We saw people working as well as chatting casually with friends. There were big lounge chairs, a couch, and 1 – 4 person tables scattered throughout the space — and spaced nicely so that you had a good buffer between tables. They also had two tables outside along the side walk. We really enjoyed our time here, and next time I’m in Georgetown I’ll probably stop by again. Four stars for being fantastic, thanks!

Great selection of brewed coffee that is different every day. You can buy beans to grind yourself Great location to relax and enjoy great coffee.

This place is sadly a shell of its former self. Tonight we walked in and the female owner was sitting at a table eating french fries out of a Styrofoam box. She then went behind the counter to help with a sudden influx of customers. Our order was taken without so much as a smile or any other such courtesy. The male owner sat down at the table and a young lady soon sat with him for an interview. He brushed the French fry crumbs off of the table onto the floor and commenced the interview. A few minutes later he brushed a plastic spoon off of the table onto the floor and left it there. Halfway through the interview 3 or 4 of the owners young children came in from outside and interrupted the interview to show off some recent candy purchases on the square. The floor was littered with trash and fallen leaves from outside. Just overall dirty, poor customer service, and poor business management displayed all around. The only thing that will keep them afloat is the location on the square.

I come here a lot to loiter and read. I think the coffee is good and the ambiance is quaint and inviting. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good coffee shop. The poppy seed muffins are exceptional and the little woman that works here all the time is really cool. Definitely one of the best places to get some work done in gtown.

This p? ave has simple décor but really good coffee at great price. And they also has many colors on the menu to choose from. Thumb up

Dig this cool little place! The staff was really nice and friendly, though the clientele skews a bit older. In fact, while I was enjoying a robust conversation an older woman, in the sweetest grandma way possible, tapped me on the shoulder and basically asked me to stop talking so long so she could finish her Sudoku in silence. I think a library that sells coffee might have been a better place for her… or the culture of this shop is come, drink and be quiet. It’s a great place to grab a drink, do some work quietly or read. Maybe not the best place to grab a coffee and have a lively conversation on a weekday morning. Maybe this place is a bit more lively in the evening.

This is the biggest disappointment in Georgetown. The atmosphere is great. It’s a beautiful spot in Texas’ most beautiful downtown square. The food offerings are pretty good. But this is a coffeehouse. And the coffee is just awful. The espresso drinks are watery; they pull shots twice as long as they should. The drip coffee is sadly weak and tastes like instant. I sometimes go here because people are friendly and it’s a nice atmosphere. But I order tea, because at least they can’t mess that up.

Great ice cream and coffee drinks! I also appreciate the local art work on the walls and eclectic furniture… Gives it a good vibe.

Great atmosphere and delicious coffee. Friendly service. They have live music every now and then which is typically good, never anything too heavy. Favorite coffee place in town

Got hungry after walking around Georgetown for most of the afternoon, so we decided to stop by for a small drink and a snack. I don’t usually have much to say about small coffee shops like this one, but their customer service deserves a shout out. We ordered a slice of the lemon poppy seed bread and an iced Russian Java. And since my Asian genes requires me to be lactose intolerant, we substituted the regular milk with soy. We got our order, took a good minute getting that perfect Unilocal picture, and before indulging in our drinks, our barista ran over to us in a mini panic. Apparently she had forgotten to make the latte with soy milk! Props to the barista for being alert and saving my life(slight exaggeration). We ended up with two drinks and the knowledge that Cianfrani has their customer’s back. I’m not a coffee drinker, but the latte was delicious and the vanilla/caramel/hazelnut flavor combo an excellent addition. The lemon poppy seed bread was pretty moist and also tasted great. I also dig the old-timey feeling with the local art on the walls. A good place to escape from real life and get yourself lost in your drink.

So as a goodbye get together, a few friends and I decided to go here to get drinks and talk. We got there and only one person in our group actually knew the place well so she ordered without any issues whatsoever. When the rest of us order, we have a ton of questions on what some things on the menu were, recommendations, things of that nature. They were super nice and all around quick in getting our orders. The atmosphere was super chill and just overall a great hangout spot. The art on the walls is neat and nice to look at. The coffee is nice and I might say it was better than some other coffee shops I’ve visited. Overall fantastic experience and service. The squad will probably visit again soon enough.

Great little hometown coffee shop! Great location right on the square so you can grab an exotic coffee concoction and do a little shopping … or you can have a seat inside, enjoy the local art on the walls and maybe hear a local musician. We haven’t tried a chilled beverage, but their hot coffees are pretty good, and I’d rather support a local business than Starbucks…

Not sure what happened to the great service and good coffee drinks that we have had here in the past. We come in occasionally to buy a lb or two of coffee & p/u some of their coffee drinks. Today the service was not great. They may have just been too busy to wait on us. One drink was redone & was still wrong. The other drink was meh. Plus there was a lot of eye rolling & snickering going on. We have no plans to ever come back. Too many coffee places around that have good coffee and polite employees that know about excellent customer service.

Great service and coffee! The woman. At the front counter was super helpful. I had the Cardiac Arrest. This was cold brew coffee with 3 shots of espresso on it. My wife had a Dirty Chai, which is a Chai tea with a espresso shot. Beautiful place with a great vibe. Will be back again for sure.

The best thing about Cianfrani is the location. Although they roast their own, the coffee is not very good. My wife commented that she would have rather Starbucks, which for us is a last resort. The muffin we bought was also on the stale side and we couldn’t finish it. The décor and setup of the place is off-putting too. It feels frenzied and thrown together. The artwork is random and crowded. There’s a out-of-place TV on the wall. The colors are loud. It wasn’t a place I wanted to stay and have a conversation.

This shop has a small town feel and small town prices. I recommend grabbing a cup of the flavored coffee and walking around the square. The staff here is patient and kind. Their ice coffee is so so. I recommend doing a hot coffee instead.

I have been here a handful of times for a quick coffee grab and maybe a muffin. I have loved every coffee I have ordered here so far. The staff is friendly, although I do not think you should have your cell phone in your pocket where I can hear it ring, or text messages going off, to me that gives off the impression you would rather be at home then at work. But maybe I am old school on that. But other then that I will return for the yummy coffee :)

This may be a Texas thing, but have you ever noticed how small towns seem to have a «Main Street» area, kind of like a touristy movie set? Apparently you park your car and leisurely stroll among an array of smiling people, who own candle stores & clothing boutiques or whatever. Okay, this scenario always makes me nervous, because aliens take over these places first. But when I’m not looking over my shoulder, I’ll stumble occasionally across a pretty neat place. And in Georgetown, it was this Cianfrani Coffee Company. Cool coffeehouse, wifi, they roast their own beans, and their Bavarian blend had just been brewed when I got there. Good stuff. As to their milky coffee drinks & pastries, I’ll take your word for them. But what I did find interesting was their pricing structure for straight black: $ 2.50 a cup, a $ 1.25 for refills, or you can do the«bottomless cup» for $ 3.75. Now granted numbers are not my forte, but I calculated if you’re planning on doing more than two cups here, go for the bottomless option. At least until it’s safe to get to your car again.

While exploring the square of downtown Georgetown, we came across this coffee shop. This is not your run of the mill coffee shop with the sizes in Italian and every beverage costing north of 6 bucks. This quaint little establishment seem to have a large number of regulars that visit this place often. On one table a lady was painting with watercolors on another table, a elderly gentleman was playing chess with the much younger guy and off to the right was a duet playing a musical accompaniment. This is a place you can go to relax and people watch. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The highlight of this place is that they make great coffee. They also have an assortment of yogurt, baked goods and a few other drink options. While you are visiting this place I suggest you take some time to view that art that is for sell. I saw a few pieces that I would consider buying. There are a few tables outside so you can enjoy the view of the court building. Or you can bring your doggie and enjoy the day. I suggest that if your in the area that you visit this place. It’s worth it… I promise.

Cianfrani is my go-to spot for working when I’m up in Georgetown… which as of late, has been more frequent than I could have imagined. A few things stand out to me at Cianfrani… one, the venue is great and the location, with outdoor seating on the square really sets it off. When it’s nice out, there’s really no better place to sit. Second is it’s selection of coffees and teas… man, it’s endless in there… in an awesome way… it’s almost an overwhelming amount of coffee, but that’s a great thing if you’re a coffee nut like I am. Third, the selection of baked goods is impressive. They have a great deal of other food as well… sandwiches, etc… but I never really look. Fourth, the bathrooms are always clean and don’t reek like normal hipster coffee shops do… that’s probably because it’s Georgetown and not Austin… The point off comes with my fifth and final point, every single time I’m there, I feel bad for how overwhelmed the woman is behind the counter… she always handles it… but maaaaan, she gets mobbed once in a while with a 10 person line and it’s all her to handle the whole thing. When you go there, be patient, but you’re probably already having a slow day if you’re in Georgetown… so you’re gonna love it.
