i mean this is a good place. Great pricing and discounts, quality groceries that are very tasty. And even some department store items. However, the workers are not very trained well, are rude and inconsiderate. Every time they need something and a cart is in their way, they will shove the cart into the opposite side of the aisle. The employees really should work on customer service.

For a discount store, this place is very clean! They’ve got just about everything: snacks, cereal, eggs, dairy, beer, wine, meat, fresh produce, frozen foods, plus an array of specialty products like kitchen gadgets, home goods and garden items. Don’t be a stickler for name brands, because you won’t find many here. This place is all about low prices! You’ll find lots of inexpensive groceries. You’ll also have to pay a quarter to rent a cart and purchase grocery bags, if you don’t bring your own. This is all part of keeping prices low. Aldi’s brands seem to be just as good as their more expensive counterparts that you find in larger supermarkets. I especially like their Fit & Active brand. For those of us that try to be a little health conscious, these items are a lighter fare and always list calories and carbs right on the front of the package. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. Every staff member that sees you asks if you need help finding anything. Conveniently located in a large strip mall, there’s always plenty of parking available.

Aldi and Trader Joe’s are owned by the same giant German supermarket conglomerate but you’d never know it. TJ’s is cheery, with brightly colored displays and some of the friendliest employees on earth. Aldi’s on the other hand, is institutional at best — most items are displayed in large boxes vs. shelves, the fluorescent lighting is depressing and you won’t find any helpful staff running around. Almost everything is prepacked or processed including produce. You’ll have to pay a deposit for a cart and pay for bags if you neglected to bring your reusable totes. So why shop here? Well, like most things it comes down to price. Aldi is the cheapest out there, hands down(even as compared to Woodmans). They buy in bulk and most everything is private labeled(and often identical to «brand» name items). You won’t be able to do all of your shopping here but you will save considerable money on staples. This particular location is better-than-average for an Aldi’s — very clean and organized. For me, the only time that I feel the need to make a special trip here is around Oktoberfest when they import a whole bunch of German market items. Bavarian soft pretzels FTW! See ya next year, Aldis.
