I brought my Macbook Pro in due to start up issues, they reinstalled the operating system for free and had me on my way. I was there for about thirty minutes and the staff was very friendly.

Simply the best customer service in the Memphis metro area. In fact, Apple stores around the country are the best of any business in delivering an amazing customer experience. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because I want my review to show and Unilocal has the stupid policy about five star reviews and not showing them. I’ve never had a problem at this store. I have been in many, many times and I’ve always been treated like a rockstar. Money can’t buy this kind of treatment. This kind of customer service comes from an internal company policy that’s old-school where the customer is the most important asset of the business.

iPhone 4s is garbage and the dock broke down after just 16 months. They said I would need to pay $ 200 for the same garbage phone or get a 6 model for $ 550. I said that I wouldn’t pay that much for this shit and they basically kicked me out! I still have my old LG phone from OVERTHREEYEARSAGO and it works fine. iPhones have some nice bells and whistles-the camera is amazing-but if you’re like me and rely on this thing to last for work it’s a piece of garbage. Also, they back you in a corner and tie your hands behind your back and don’t allow you to merge your iTunes backup with a different iPhone, making you LOSEEVERYTHING. I think that Apple is an overpriced bandwagon and I switched back to Android. I got a new LG Escape G2 with 8GB not 5 like on the 4s and saved $ 20 off Apple’s offer. Screw APPLE!

Wait time is too long. If you are middle eastern or non white/black you’ll be their least priority. When we walked in the concierge on purpose ignored us and instead greeted the white guy behind us. The sales people looked at us and didn’t give a shit even though we clearly told the concierge that we wanted to buy a MacBook. They weren’t even understaffed. The girl that was helping us wasted 5 minutes to ask another sales guy if he knew how to pronounce my name. When the guy didn’t know she came to ask us. When it was finally our turn, she went to assist other customers while we were filling our credit application and spent majority of the time helping them The employees are not very knowledgeable. It seems like they pretty much hire anyone. Not what I expected from Apple.

I’ve been to the apple store now a few times. I rate it three stars because overall I’ve had some good experience but I’ve also had some bad experiences here. Pros: 1. For the most part their genius bar is useful. I took my MacBook to be fixed on Monday and it was fixed by Wednesday. No problems, everything works! 2. The store is really clean and they have a nice setup. 3. Products are nicely on display and someone usually always ask if you need help. Cons: 1. You can’t just drop off something to fix without making an appointment, regardless if you already had a prior appointment and they have your information logged. 2. Some of the staff aren’t on the same page as others and really don’t know what they are doing. 3. Some staff look as though they don’t want to be there. 4. It is always busy! 5. Needed to replace my husbands Iphone 6 screen and they put a white screen instead of black screen on and I had to wait an additional hour for them to fix their mistake! Overall, it’s an apple store. I have been to better! However, sadly it literally is the only apple store in the Memphis area so unless I plan on driving hours to the Little Rock AR or the Ridgeland MS location, I have no choice and I will continue to go there!

I really have no idea what they do in order to qualify people to work here, but they really need to reevaluate the qualifications. My wife came here having a problem with the ringer on her iPhone. She had just bought her first iPhone and she could not get the ringer to turn on. She thought it would be nice and easy to just stop by the Apple store on her way home from work and get a quick class. After checking it out for some time they came back and said that she would have to send it in to get the speaker replaced. Even though the speaker worked for everything else, they said it needed to be replaced in order for it to work as the ringer. She knew that made no sense and she brought the phone home. After looking at it for less than five minutes, I noticed that the case she had bought with it, the life proof case which is pretty awesome, would activate the ringer off switch when the phone was installed in it and that it just needed to be switched back on. I know this sounds very simple, and to anyone that has had an iPhone for any length of time would know about the mute switch, but the employee at the Apple store had no clue(even though they were using one at the time.) I now have an iPhone as well and we just bought a mac, I will NOT be going to this Apple store for any help if I need it.

The Apple Store is a great concept. I can see how other locations could make for an incredible experience! The staff at this location crushes that experience. I’m grateful to be able to checkout using my phone. The lady pushing me to let her help me knew less about the products than I do — and I do a little homework but not a ton …

I’m not going to go into the prices of Apple products, because those are set by the company and they can’t help that something costs what it does. Nor am I going to go into the products themselves, just rating the store itself. I’m giving it three stars because… I’ve really been to better stores with more service, although the service itself is okay when you do finally get helped. Sometimes when I walk into the store, I’m immediately accosted and asked if I need help. If this is the case and I say I’m just looking(perhaps I’m wanting to look around first before I ask for help), I’m totally screwed. No one is going to come up to me again until I stand in front of a computer and look around the store for help for about 15 minutes. That’s absolutely ridiculous. If I forfeit the offering of immediate help, I thereby waive my right to any help during my visit and will get bumped before people who walk in the door while I’m looking around for a free employee? No I’m sorry, instead of having a slew of people waiting to pounce on people right when they walk in the door, maybe have an employee or two walking around asking if people need help. One positive about Apple Stores in general is the Genius Bar. It’s great to have a place where you can bring in your computer if there’s a problem that’s a bit more accessible than the help areas at other stores, such as Best Buy. One tip though: I definitely suggest making a reservation. If you don’t, you could get all the way down there and be told that all spots for the day are full and you can only make an appointment to come down the next day. I don’t have a problem with that at all though, and love the convenience of making an appointment, walking in, and having someone able to look at my computer right away… more or less. The downside? If you have to drop off your electronics, the communication is crap. I was having problems with the keyboard on my laptop, I had thought this would be a quick fix they could do right away. Nope, I had to leave my laptop. Ooookaaay… I was told it’d be fixed the next day. Nope. Two days later, I call. They say they’ll call me when it’s ready the next day. Still no call. Basically, don’t believe them when they say they’ll call, because they don’t. You will have to keep pestering them every day(or twice a day in the morning and evening) if you want to know the status of whatever you dropped off. The employees themselves are helpful when they do assist you, whether it’s someone at the Genius Bar or an employee telling you whether you should get the MacBook Pro or MacBook Air, or even assisting with software or hardware(speakers, printers, etc.). Another plus? All employees have phones(or tablets, I forget which) that have full purchasing capabilities, meaning they function as a handheld register. So let’s say someone’s helping you decide which computer you want, and you decide to go ahead and buy it. They can ring it up for you right where you’re standing, you don’t have to make your way to a counter and wait in line. Talk about convenient. Plus, you can even have your receipt emailed to you(or they can print it out right there).

This place is always fun to go inside of. The staff is friendly, the gadgets are cool to look at, and the atmosphere is amazing. I was having some trouble with my Apple TV remote, so I called Apple tech support, and they suggested for me to bring it to an Apple Store to see if they can help me. Low and behold, after I had scheduled an 11:30 am appointment the next day, they replaced the remote with no questions asked. I love coming here!

I am a total Apple junkie so I suppose the store is a necessary evil. I love my computers, I love my iPhone, I love my iPad, but I do not love the prices, how crowded this store is, or that the Genius bar and other staff can treat you like an idiot… or that you’re just not worth their time. For example, my laptop charger died out of nowhere and I had to go buy a new one. I walked in and a guy immediately greeted me(actually I was pounced on) asking what I needed. When I said I just needed a charger I literally saw him deflate as he said«oh. it’s back there» and just pointed… didn’t accompany me or care how extremely rude it was. So I wandered back there and stared at the options until another guy came and helped me. And $ 80 for a charger? Ridiculous.

I own several Apple products, I’ve always had great service at this location. I’d suggest you make an appointment before you go in, because it’s almost always busy. It’s easy to make an appointment online. Great displays, friendly, helpful folks!
