The kabobs here are the best in MD. Each one has its benefits, but I’d start off simple with the koobideh. Everything is high grade. Kinda small for sitting in, but large enough to take a party up to 10 people.

Delicious and healthy food. There is nothing I tried here that I didn’t like. The price is not cheap for lunch but for the portion it’s good

Average kabob joint. Surprised by the high ratings. I had the«yummiest kabob» which is a mix of ground chicken and koobideh. Interesting concept but not much flavor. I had it over a salad and the salad only had lettuce and tomatoes. I’m not a fan of tomatoes so I had kabob and lettuce. Pretty disappointed.

Bottom line is that this place has pretty good Middle Eastern food for this area — better than Moby Dick in my opinion. The Kubideh Kabob is my favorite thing on the menu, very tasty. The only unnerving part is that there doesn’t ever seem to be anyone in the restaurant when I go. On that note it really is best for takeout only and when you are looking for something different.

Talk about disappointing. We had been to the Caspian in Kentlands, and this obviously is a world different. First impression– the place is dirty and dingy inside. You order at the counter, and the staff was not very friendly. We ordered chicken kabobs. When the order was ready, the server just pointed at us to pick up the tray of food. I then noticed there was no bread– when I asked he said it was on the plate. And it was, buried under all the other food. Which led to it being soggy and worthless by the time you could even get to it. The food itself was lousy, no flavor and everything was either under-cooked or overcooked. There are so many other good kabob places in the area. I wouldn’t bother ever going back.

I came here at 3:00 p.m. And there was not a clean table in the house. I asked the guy at the counter and he called back to someone and then sat down at a table to talk to a friend. Food took 19 minutes to come. Was okay cold in middle and broken. It was ground chick and rice.

I’d say one of the best Kubideh Kabobs in North America. A MUST try item. I’m one of the most pickiest person when it comes to food. But I eat here almost three times a week.

Things you should know: I LOVEKABOBS. Specifically, I love well seasoned/spiced kabobs. I tend to lean towards spicier types like the Afghan/Pakistan kabobs. Don’t get me wrong, I will eat all good kabobs, just prefer the bolder spiced versions like Ravi of NoVa or Maiwand of the Baltimore area. Moby Dick’s is sort of the standard barer for Persian Kabobs style in the area and they are great for that. I was longing for a more spicy kubideh in the Rockville/G’burg area and haven’t found one until I finally tried Caspian in Germantown! I was a bit hesitant about trying them since there was some not great reviews recently, but I bit the bullet and glad I did. I took the Unilocalers advice and ordered the Kubideh Spicy, and huzzah! Well spiced, moist, delicious! I may have just found kabob place in the area. I also ordered a side of the ground chicken kabob to try and it was good, but the Kubideh was great. I also appreciated the generous portion so bonus for that. Their rice could use a bit of salt and butter, and the bread was a bit thin for my taste, I prefer a bit thicker softer style, but that’s just me. Also I wish they put my side orders of extra grilled tom and onion in a separate container, but they did put in a small sumac packet in there so that’s nice. My hubs really liked their Gyro as well. While there’s definitely room for improvement, I look forward to going back and trying other things, but I will definitely be back for more Kubideh! I’m not sure if this Caspian in Germantown is in anyway connected to the Caspian in Gaithersburg. Neither website mentioned it, but I will try that as well sometime for comparison.

This is a friendly place and their customer service is good. The most important thing in restaurant is quality and the quality of their food is the best. I love this place and I strongly recommend this place to everybody.

You don’t get the best kabob and the best customer service here but I think it is still good. I of course had better kabob but in this area there are not too many options and this one I think is one of the good ones, in terms of quality and price. I even ordered kabob in large sum for my parties couple of time and everybody loved it. One of the things can be definitely improving is the quality and freshness of kabob and the quality of rice. I don’t know what kind of rice they use but it is nothing comparable to persian standard rice.

Decent food quality. Ordered Caspian combo for lunch. Chicken kabobs were a little dry. I don’t think I had fragrant rice. Anyway, I had some stomach issues in the evening. Not sure, but suspect the lunch.

One star is two too many! Had the beef shishkabob for lunch today. Half way through, I realized it tasted weird.(Didn’t realize at first because I was dipping it in the yogurt sauce.). Then I smelled the meat by itself… It smelled spoiled… Very spoiled! I notified the manager, and instead of doing anything, he just said the meat was fresh and walked away. Needless to say, I didn’t finish.(Actually, I can often eat food that would bother other people, so this was pretty extreme.) Maybe just coincidence, but I noticed another empty table with two plates of only half-eaten dishes as I left. I wonder if they had similar issues and heard me talking with the manager… Realizing how pointless it was to raise their concerns to the manager, they simply left without finishing. Though I have a very strong constitution, it is three hours later and I’m now feeling sick. Fortunately, it was beef so food poisoning is unlikely, but I’m not real happy to be sick from a $ 12 fast-food meal! Recommendation: Stay far away from this place! (If the owner reads this, you need to fire, or seriously retrain, your staff!)

The food here was fantastic! I’m big on kabobs, so a couple of the guys at work told me I had to try it, and they weren’t wrong! I loved the ground beef kabob and haven’t had anything like it before. If you’re about kabobs you have to come here!

EXTREMELYDISAPPOINTED! Ordered two filet mignon/chicken kabob combos to go($ 17.99/each). When I got home, the rice and meat were CLEARLYNOT prepared the same day. The rice was stale and the meat was dry. I called multiple times to complain and for some reason they would not pick up their phone! I will NEVER go here again, will NOT recommend this restaurant anymore to any of my family, friends, peers, etc. Total waste of my money and time… There are a few great kabob restaurants in the DC area, Caspian is not one of them…

I was REALLY disappointed with dinner tonight. The beef shish kabobs were bland city! Actually so were the rice, yogurt sauce, and pita. I don’t know, maybe the kitchen has changed something since my last visit but I would’ve been better off grabbing Pizza Hut while I was at the nearby Target. At least the beef wasn’t tough. Even the baklava tasted previously frozen. I know because my mom loves to freeze stuff and then tell you it’s «fresh» six months later. Good news is the staff is still friendly.

This place is a great go to for Mediterranean food. The owners are really nice too. The place isn’t that big, but I have seen families pushing together the tables to make it better. First you walk in, and order the menu is pretty large. After you order and play, they usually give you your drink to fill up and sit at a table to wait. They also give pita and tzatziki sauce as an appetizer as you wait for your food. After you are done, you can leave the stuff on the table. My brother and I usually like to stack everything to be nice. I usually get the beef shish kabob. It comes with a grilled tomatoes and rice on the side. It is delicious. Everything is cooked to perfection, the beef is tender and juicy. I love it, I get it everytime we come here. The rice is buttery and moist, I usually put some maroon seasoning on it. I don’t know what it ism but soooo good. I love coming here with my brother, it is like a no brainer, always delicious place to go. Never a bad idea to come here for good food, ever.

Fresh naan AND good service? What?! Yeah, you heard right. My coworkers and I grabbed some lunch from here and I’ve gotta say, I understand why people like them so much. The price points around about the same as other kabob/middle eastern joints and chains, however the kabobs really tasted SO much better. I ordered the kubideh and I do believe it’s the best I’ve had so far. Well seasoned and juicy, not dry and overcooked(side eye to you chains) just as it’s supposed to be! I’m not a fan of tomatoes so I always skip those, and I wasn’t partial to the rice but the fresh naan put that smile on my face! The chicken was good as well, and not dry whatsoever which seems to be an issue at most places. I didn’t try the baklava but it looked super tempting, so I know I’ll be getting next time :) The place is clean and neat, if a bit small but I haven’t seen it get overcrowded so far. As for the service, they’re very attentive and polite. I dropped my knife and within a couple seconds the owner(I believe) was already bringing me new cutlery. Brownie points for that!

I’m a fan of Caspian, food is pretty delicious and big rice portion(i love rice). I definitely recommend eating there but the reason i will not give 5 stars is because it’s a little expensive … $ 14 for the food and $ 3 for a soda??? i recommend the chicken soltani, both the ground chicken kabob and the chicken breast kabob were really tasty

I used to come here a while back and figured I’d make sure it was still around. Still the same great place, walk up order and greeted by an amiable Persian gentleman. Simple and to the point. I don’t recall the prices being so high but was pleasantly surprised when my gyro was ready. Although, I couldn’t eat the beast with my hands because it was so effing big. Might as well call it a gyro salad on a 12×12 bed of pita. Hot and well spiced lamb, fresh veggies, fresh feta, tangy tzatziki and warm fluffy pita… Delicious!
