I don’t even know where to begin with Merlin’s… My friend and I came in to get some coffee, and upon entering the shop, you will notice that there is cat stuff EVERYWHERE. Merlin is a cat. There are cat figurines. Cat descriptions. Cat treats. Cat pictures. Cat hair. Turn around and there’s a display case with more cat figurines. CATSCATSCATS! All we wanted were 2 coffees. Simple enough? Nope. We paid for our styrofoam cups and went over to the thermoses where there were 3 or 4 choices(1 of which was decaf). 1st coffee dispenser: empty; 2nd dispenser: mostly empty; the woman at the counter tells us we can«mix and match» our coffee…; 3rd dispenser: mostly empty, and the only thing left is decaf. I need caffeine! I ask for a refund, and she tells me she can’t give me a refund. WHATTHE?! OK, she says she can make us lattes at no extra charge. I don’t know what the heck she made for me. Maybe it was kitty litter with steamed cat milk? Whatever it was, it was NOT a latte, and it was undrinkable. Fair warning!

This is my favorite coffee shop(of anywhere, not simply the area). Not only am I addicted to their amazing blueberry cobbler coffee beans, but their specialty drinks are amazing. If the price didn’t make me wince, there would be no stopping me from frequenting the shop daily. Favorite drinks — Latte Royal and Bloody Englishman(the latter is quite sweet, so watch out if you haven’t the sweet tooth).

$ 13 for 2 coffees and 3 muffins. Outlet prices but coffee and pastries were tasty. Refills were a BUCK. I didn’t get the feeling that kids were very welcome.

i love this place! their coffee is delicious, they have the nicest staff on the planet and their store is adorable. why people want a starbucks in gettysburg i have no idea. gettysburg is the head town in the simple mainstreet and although it isn’t on mainstreet this quaint coffee shop is certainly reminiscent of it
