Requested an in-home estimate from this company for a kitchen remodel. This is for a house that has been recently vacated by bad tenants who had let their dogs/cats ruin the house. The house had been cleaned, but still had some smell and is in need of a full reno, thus the need for estimate. This guy Jay came to our house, talked down to us… saying that our house would need 100k for repairs, asking us how we choose our contractors… while having his arms crossed the whole time while he was talking to us. I told him that he doesn’t have to worry about how we are going to fix the house, as that is our problem. He then said that they don’t have any opening until January 2014. He made it obvious, in a very rude way, that he is not interested in our business. That would have been ok, since we don’t want to work with him either. But having welcomed him to our house, we were really appalled by his conduct. We have been long time residents of Cherry Hill. My husband grew up here, and the people who know us would say that we are very nice people. We are both professionals. I don’t think it’s good business practice to be rude to people just because you’re not interested in doing work for them.
