This review is solely based on take out for wings. I have never eaten in Babes only take out. Babes wings are great. The mild have a great kick to them.

I give this place 5 stars maybe I’m partial because I am a regular, but I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal. The beer on tap is the freshest around and they also have great specials through out the week. The chef Freddy makes awesome loaded fries or loaded nachos both offered with beef or chicken… Believe me they are loaded !!! You’ll go back again just for them. Babes also offers a variety of sandwiches and salads all great. If your just looking for appetizers the corn fritters are awesome and they also have old bay fries which are different then a Chickie and Petes but just as delicious. Hope this review is helpful and hope to see you in Babe’s !!!

It was a little strange how nestled into a strip of houses this bar was. There was a house next door to the bar and you could practically see into their kitchen from the back patio. I was pleasantly surprised how friendly everyone was who worked here(though, admittedly, I was there for the birthday party of a former employee). People were raving about the wings. They were pretty good. I really liked how smokey the hot sauce was, I also liked that the wings were peppered. They were a little too salty for my taste, but overall very good. Fairly cheap drinks. Very much a local bar, it seemed like I was the only person in the bar that did not know everyone else.

After reading the review in the Gloucester County Times I decided to take my two boys to sample the wings on Wednesday Wing Night. We ordered the garlic parmesan and the naked wings. The taste was delicious for both, the wings fresh, not frozen, and perfectly crisp. The service was friendly and fast, atmosphere was family friendly. Nice little quircky place with ripped chairs and unbalanced talbes, no snootiness here and that’s what I like! My only complaint is it is not handicapped accessible and had to pull a wheelchair up 5 deck steps in the back but we made it! customers and staff were very helpful getting us seated. definitely will go back to try the hot and mild wings.

I give this place 4 stars for what it is… A tiny hole in the wall bar with banging ass bar food! !!! I had the pork sandwich and it was LOADED with meat!!! I also had the wings which is the reason I went in there, and they too were SLAMMING!!! What makes them so special is the pepper sauce they use… BANGING!!! the Hot is HOT, so be careful… it gave me the burn I was looking for!!! The folks that run the place are real cool and you could tell appreciated someone other then the usual suspects stopping by to check them out… Wednesday’s are wing day!

OK. I Found another one. For my readers that love those Mom & Pop Niche Places, I’ve got another one. Easy to get to off of Route 295, Small Town, Family Owned Bar & Grill. I was apprehensive when I walked into this Mom & Pop Bar on St. Patrick’s Day on the main drag in the small town of Gibbstown. I walked in to a packed bar full of obvious locals, All laughing and having a GREAT time. Up a small flight of steps to a dining area, a waitress(Full of Energy and Pep), Warmly welcomed me and invited me to sit anywhere I liked, and to help myself to FREE Ham & Cabbage in a Crock Pot. She said she’d be with me in a minute. The Ham & Cabbage was DELICIOUS! And you know what, Despite The place being packed, She was with me in about a minute. She asked if I had ever been there before and I replied«NO», She smiled and said«You’ll like it here». You know what? I Like it there! I WILLBEBACK. At the last minute, I decided not to go to an upscale restaurant with a $ 20/plate Ham & Cabbage Buffet & $ 5 pints of Guinness. I also didn’t feel up to driving to Gloucester City. I wanted to find a close, HOMETOWN Bar. This is it. $ 6 pitchers and 3 wings for a buck! Fat, Fresh, Juicy Wings with your choice of sauces. This place is a HOMEY, Not Fancy, Down home bar. EVERYONE was having a great time. The Service was EXCELLENT, FOOD was(BARFOOD) Hot & Fresh and served quickly. But most of all, All of the people there were FRIENDLY and Down To Earth! There’s an outside deck that also accommodates smokers. I’m really glad to have spent my St. Patty’s day in this place! Somehow the thought of being in a stuffy, stuffed shirt environment, kills the spirit of St. Patty’s Day! Also, The True Irish couldn’t afford the finer foods, Why should we pay $ 20+ plate for Ham & Cabbage! Everyone should enjoy the True Spirit and Flavors of Ireland without having to be Stripped of our hard earned funds for an Over Priced Meal and Over Priced Beer! THANKYOUBABE’S FORTHEFUNTIME. I can’t wait to go back!
