When spending a lot of money to tan you expect everything to be up and running consistently. I don’t know how many times I have had to ask for the misters and the aromatherapy in the super beds to be refilled, numerous times, and that’s fine because how will they know they are out if someone doesn’t tell them. But after a 2 months goes by and you go in the same bed on a regular basis and find time after time for that long that they have not refilled the misters and you have told numerous employees it gets pretty frustrating and old. So I ask to talk to the manager and they said that she would call me. Weeks go by and I have yet to have the manager call me. Customer service sucks. I pay too much a month for this.

I have not had the same negative experience as the other reviewers. I am sometimes(25% of my visits I would guess) offered a deal but it never feels like a high-pressure situation. Most of the deals that they offer end up being about $ 10 per spray tan and that is a steal compared to the 35 I used to pay for a custom tan that turned out about the same. My experience thus far has been nothing but positive and friendly. The only small issue I had was when two employees from different stores were trying to get the commission from me based on who I had talked to you on the phone and where I ended up going for service.

Ugh. I’d like to make it known that I’m reviewing both Gig Harbor Desert Suns, as they work pretty closely together, share employees, etc. You must know that these girls earn a commission. So, if you’re walking around one day and you decide, «Hey, I could go for a tan and I have this deal…» just be prepared to be pressured into buying some kind of package, lotion, etc. They always have a million reasons why this is the most economical decision for you and they act like you’ll be a total idiot if you pass it up. It drives me nuts. Nearly 100% of the time I go in here, they try to wheel and deal me. These girls should go into used car sales. Seriously, they’re great at what they do: pressure their customers into spending more money than they already are. As far as customer service goes, not so great. It’s not a relaxing experience to mentally prepare yourself in the parking lot to, «Just. Say. NO.»

Whatever you do, check your receipt. Some of the girls working here charge you extra so they can gain a better commission – believe me from an insider. If you spot $ 10 for a moisturizer you know you didn’t buy, go back and ask for their manager. I’m surprised some of these girls haven’t been fired for this already. If you want an honest employee, purchase from Cherise(the brunette with tons of freckles). So far, I am unaware of anyone else that is down-right honest when it comes to illegally charging you more for the hell of it.
