Elite did a complete re-siding of my house and build a new front porch. We could not be happier with the result. Our last contractor just nailed new siding over the old problems, painted it and it looked great for about 2 – 3 years. Then it was right back to where we started, After hearing John Ramsdell talking about Everlast siding on KIRO and the things a contractor needs to be alert to when residing homes in the NW we went to visit him at the Tacoma home show. John gave us a thorough estimate and had several helpful suggestions that made this project shine. He also warned us about what sort of issues we might see and how he could mitigate them as well as estimating the cost if needed. The crew was diligent and efficient always letting us know when unexpected issues came up(that tends to happen with a 35+ year our house). Not only did our house get resided but we modernized its appearance. There were many little touches that John does as a part of the job that just make the whole project look amazing. We still get folks asking about it a year and half later. We also had Elite install a new front door and very soon they will be replacing our back deck.

If ever there was a way to give Elite Exterior a lower rating, it would be much more accurate and well deserved. John Ramsdell is about as dishonest as they come. He puts together a compelling and thought provoking presentation and proceeds to tells you everything that’s wrong with your home whether it’s inferior paint, construction, or workmanship. He will go through great lengths to propose his top notch products and services… don’t buy into it. Anyone as stupid as I was to enter into a contract with this con man would do well and do themselves a huge favor and research his recent revocation of his Better Business Bureau accreditation and an updated rating of F, which at the time of my hiring of him was an A-. My basis of hiring came from a glowing word of mouth referral that I now look back as questionable in retrospect. While his subcontractor of choice that actually painted my house provided top notch service and quality work, his construction guys did okay work once it was done… the second time. If by chance you have no choice but to do business with this most unprofessional and unsavory of characters, protect your interests and insist on having a specific time line that you’d require your work to be completed with a definitive completion date lest you have unlimited time on your hands. He has a history, at least from my experience, of ignoring phone calls and taking his time getting back to you. Buyer Beware!

The most important part of hiring contractor is finding someone who will do the job right the first time, so you don’t have headaches down the road. Elite Exteriors does quality work that you can depend on. From my personal experience, it seemed like they really cared and took pride in their work. I recently purchased my first home so I wanted to make sure that any work done on it was of the highest quality, and Elite Exteriors met my expectations.

Elite Exteriors is doing now and has done work on my home in the past. They go the extra mile to explain the whole installation process and to make sure everything is being done well. I feel confident that with their work my home will be protected from the elements. They found rot in the walls from previous shoddy work that allowed moisture penetration and repaired it all before installing new windows and siding. They have a wonderful new technology siding that never needs painting and will not rot but it looks like wood. I am very happy with their work, work ethic and inegrity.

I found this guy – John ramsdell – From a program on KIRO radio where he had paid a fee to be interviewed. He talked a lot about leaks, so I hired him to fix two leaks which have plagued me for several years. He recommended a new roof, new siding, a drainage ditch, and two new windows. I ended up paying him 40k, however, my leaks were unaffected. In fact, the ditch caused a third leak to appear. When I phoned him he sounded annoyed but said he’d stop by. A week later I called again. He said he was busy – he made excuses, including something about his daughter breaking her leg – but he promised me he’d eventually come to my home to follow up. That was 9 months ago. He won’t return my calls. I am now pursuing legal action. Don’t be fooled by the dog and pony show this guy puts on. He comes across as honorable and dependable, he even mentioned he’s attends church, but once he gets your money he is done with you.
