Mark’s Barber Shop

Came out here from Tacoma. Didn’t care about an extra bridge toll. Heard only great things about this place and needed to get a first haircut for my 2 year old. Glad I made the special trip. My son pretty much cried the entire time only because he had no clue what the heck was going on. I believe it was Jon that cut his hair (the younger guy) he was AWESOME! Very patient. Put on cartoons for him and Quickly got through the cut. He did a great job and did exactly what I wanted. After it was done and my son cried everyone’s ears out he had no hesitation to grab a Kleenex and wipe his nose. He also filled out a first hair cut certificate a long with a lock of hair taped to it! Wasn’t expecting that. Will definitely come back!

This is the place to get a great, consistent hair cut. Mark and Jonathan are always friendly and do a great job. No matter how busy they get, they greet everyone and make you feel at home. My kids feel like the king of the world when they put the warm shaving cream on and use the straight razor on the back of the neck.

I’m fiercely loyal coming here even though I’ve lived in Seattle for the past few years. Would rather wait a few more weeks to have Jon cut my hair than have anyone up here. Super friendly atmosphere, great environment, and respectable prices. Don’t go anywhere else!

Today was a rough day! My hair was butchered by a barber in Tacoma who claimed to know the minutia of a pompadour but clearly didn’t. I arrived at Mark’s and John not only fixed my hair, but also my day. And, when I tried to pay, he refused payment. Looks like I have found my barber. Thank you John.

Best barber I’ve found in Washington since moving here over a year ago. They focuses solely on men’s haircuts and they do a great job at it I would recommend these guys to anyone I know, actually send all my friends that way when they visit.

Mark is an awesome dude !! Finally a masculine old school barber shop. I’ve had my hair cut in salons for years and moved to gig harbor. Need a hair cut and my 70yr old Dad recommended Mark. He knows how to cut a mans hair… is fast… no hair stylest gossip and endless bla bla bla…
If your a mans man you will like his shop for sure !!

I have a toddler and a preschooler. My husband and I took them to get their hair cut at Mark’s this morning. Two people were ahead of us but my boys were entertained by the bucket of toys and little boy books. My husband went first. They did a fantastic job. Then my toddler got into the chair for his first cut ever. He was a little apprehensive at first but a lollipop solved that problem. His cut is perfect. The toddler was last and his texture is the most difficult because it is so straight and unforgiving that any little mistake shows up like a booger on a white shirt. His cut is perfect.
We have paid $ 30 for a kid’s hair cut at multiple kid places. In our experience all the workers seem to hate their jobs and really hate working with kids. No judgement, I would too!!! The haircuts have always ranged from «so awful that they are hilarious» to «passable but let’s hope it grows quickly».
Mark and his son were excited to see us, sweet to the boys and delivered great cuts.

The best haircut I’ve gotten in the Harbor!!! (Wife approved) Great environment, ESPN on the tv and excellent service. I would recommend this place to all the men I know. I would say if you haven’t had your hair cut at Marks you should walk in and give it a try. I have no doubt you will leave satisfied with the results. This is where I will be going from now on.

I went and got my hair cut from JON at marks barber shop and they were incredible! First off there shop was incredible and a joy to be in and the banter between Jon and Mark was hilarious! Both Mark and Jon are 100% professional and honestly come in there and let them work with your hair!
I fly back to Seattle and get my hair done every single time I’m in the Seattle area!
Be prepared for a meticulous, detailed, perfectly shaped haircut! Jon is the best in the industry and the best hair cuts I have ever had! You WILL LOVE IT!

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Mark since I was a little kid. Now his son Jon is doing a great job!
