Have you seen this place? Too cute. Love the sand which bar for a quick bite, and great place to grab a few items when downtown. Perfect store for the location!

A great joint for sandwiches and espresso. The lounge and seating areas are inviting enough to spend time in. Power outlets for laptops along bar is nice. No more crêpe’s being made :(but the menu still has nice items. I tried the roast beef horseradish on a crispy bun.

I’ve been here a lot and love the food. Prices are a bit high but it’s a cool store. People are always nice and it’s just a neat place to grab some quick lunch and coffee. Which by the way, has become my place for coffee. I used to go to a very close place to them but they don’t taste that good anymore and they over price on the drinks. So Harbor General is my new go to wake up call. Oh and their sandwiches are amazingly delicious. My fav is the New Yorkerish(or is it the yorkish?)

They always have a smile for us in the morning! The menu choices are great and the food well prepared. The selection from the store is surprisingly comprehensive when considering how much space they have to work with. It is a kid friendly fun environment and a real community asset to have the store so close to the harbor. As if all of that is not enough, Did I mention they give to the community? Most recently, they prepared 20 thanksgiving dinners and provided them to whoever was in need.

Great place to pick up a tasty lunch, beer, wine, or gourmet treats. Try the French macarons! Staff is friendly, and they give back to the community. A+

Love this little gem in the harbor. They provide wonderful gourmet sandwiches and a unique menu. They have a fantastic wine selection too! Great atmosphere — clean, bright & relaxing. Coffee is great too and they even have a drive through!

We had pulled into the marina on a sailboat and while the boys were at the pump station, the girls went on a desperate search for coffee and snacks. I was hoping to find a tiny coffee shop bakery when we ran across The Harbor General Store. «General store» doesn’t really do it justice. This clean, brightly lit, comfortable deli, café, grocer, and shop was a wonderful place to get some snacks and drinks. We got fresh chocolate chip cookies, ice-blended coffee drinks, and restocked our boat with chips, beer, and other goodies while we were here. Definitely stop by if you’re staying here for the night and in need of supplies or a quick bite!

I have eaten at Harbor General Store several times and have never had a bad experience. The Caprese Sandwich is super yum, and although not on the menu, they make a wonderful BLT with avocado sandwich. It’s great to have a general store in town, especially for the boaters. I look forward to trying more goodies on the menu!

While vacationing in Gig Harbor, my family and I had breakfast at our rental house most mornings, usually consisting of cereal or oatmeal. We decided one morning that we wanted to indulge in a delicious breakfast. There were only two varieties of breakfast foods available: breakfast burritos and crepes. Not even your traditional eggs and bacon! The atmosphere seemed very upbeat, and despite the poor menu, the food seemed promising.(first mistake) I ordered the Simple Grace crêpe(fresh lemon, butter, and sugar). I waited half an hour for this piece of crap. It was a cold flour tortilla folded with literally a TON of olive oil poured on top. No lemon flavor whatsoever. My family ordered a Miss Ada crêpe(Nutella), and two sausage breakfast burritos. The crêpe, as opposed to mine, was normal(and delicious). Why were the two so different? Don’t ask me, ask the stupid workers there. I have never felt so targeted being overweight in my life. I have been to France and have had traditional French crepes, and let me tell you, they were no where near a comparison. The burritos were bland and cold. Being from California with decadent and authentic Mexican food on every block, this was not a true«Mexican» dish. In all, the food was terrible and they didn’t consider the roots and culture behind either dish. Very disappointed. Will never return, and no one should EVER pay them a visit again, unless they want to feel insulted, and leave hungry.

Excellent service. Terrible gluten free bread. Took a sandwich to go and the slices of bread were hard around the entire edge. Obviously previously frozen. I don’t mind that so much but it wasn’t handled properly. Wouldn’t have much of a problem if I wasn’t up charged for it :-(Tried to call them back but the number didn’t work. Will go back for sure because the staff is awesome. But stay away from the gluten free bread.

We love this place for lunch… and if you call ahead you can pick it up to go in their coffee drive thru! They still have a few kinks to work out as they are a fairly new business, but the staff is friendly and the sandwiches are delicious. They also get bonus points for serving Ohana coffee. Try the veggie sandwich with hummus on it, you won’t be disappointed!

Stopped in for lunch, was not disappointed! We had the New Yorkish and a Ham and Brie sandwich. Both came fast and with a pickle. The sandwiches were very tasty, warm and just all around good! Great place for a good cuppa coffee and some nice shopping.

Really amazing place. High end grocery store, with a high end deli and gift shop and candy shop and child play area all in one. Great family spot. We had breakfast there and while the eggs were a little too rubbery, everything else, including the coffee was great!

Great service! My husband and I tried the SoCal sandwich and it was delicious. It is a big sandwich and is definitely worth the $ 9.

We had heard good things about their sandwiches, so decided to try it for lunch. The building itself is nice and new and the layout is relaxing — ½ is a grocery store and the other half is the food service area. We were in a sandwich mood, so I got a Reuben and my partner got a grilled cheese. Two sandwiches, bottled Coke and a bag of chips came to ~$ 23, which struck us as being a bit much. The sandwiches were good. Good flavor, cooked well. I’m a bit spoiled because I came from the East Coast where a Reuben can dislocate your jaw it is piled so high. No risk here. The grilled cheese was good — like a grilled ham and cheese. They use bottled sugar-based(not HFCS-based) Coke, which is OK. The question is whether we will be back. Perhaps with out of town guests, but not sure.

I work just up the street from the Harbor General Store and this wonderful little store is my new go-to for lunch(and breakfast when I work opening shift!) I have pretty specific dietary needs and the ladies working the Harbor General store have been more than happy to cater to my specific needs. Their sandwiches are to die for(I like a simple turkey on wheat with lettuce, tomato, mustard, provolone, grilled of course. My friend is addicted to the SoCal) and for breakfast I’m really fond of the breakfast burrito with salsa. It comes normally with eggs, cheese, and pork sausage(I skip the sausage.) Warm and gooey and everything you could ever need in a quick breakfast fix. To go with it, they have a really yummy chai latte that I prefer with almond milk. Food aside, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The store itself is cute and clean and just what the harbor needed. Their grand opening is in April and I can not wait to see how this business continues to grow!
