I was able to make an appointment online from their website for the next day. The office staff is super friendly, as is Dr. Simon. She saw me right on time for my most recent appointment — no wait. They have a new (to me) machine that allows the inside of your eyeballs to be examined without dilation, and Dr. Simon shows you the image and explains it. That was pretty cool, especially since mine were healthy. Insurance didn’t cover it but it was worth $ 19 extra to avoid Little Orphan Annie pupils. Their selection of frames isn’t huge, but the variety was excellent. Plenty of stylish options. It took me a while to narrow it down (I can be pretty picky with frames), but I received personal attention from a very patient, helpful assistant the whole time while making my selection. I’ve been to this office twice now and can’t imagine going anywhere else. I have a good VSP plan, so I can’t vouch for the prices if you don’t have insurance or if you have crappy insurance.

I am so glad I found Dr. Simon at Eye Concepts. My exam was thorough, but quick. She answered all my questions and spent the time to make sure I was happy with my bifocal contacts.
The staff was very nice and helpful. They went the extra mile to make sure my insurance covered everything.

Dr. Simon does an excellent job in making sure all your vision questions and concerns are addressed. She never rushes your exam and explains what and why each step is necessary. It is really nice to have a vision care professional you totally trust and enjoy visiting.

Dr. Simon is great! Our family has been seeing her since we moved to AZ in 2008. (She previously practiced at Sam’s Club). I love how easy going she is– I feel completely comfortable asking her any questions and she always takes the time to answer everything & make sure I’m educated when it comes to vision needs. I was also pleasantly surprised to discover that her office has replaced the much feared «puff of air» machine with a much less invasive hand held tool! She just keeps it in the exam room & the test only feels like an eyelash is tickling you. Brilliant! I’d highly recommend her to any family/​friends. Her front office guy is great too. They are both very kind, down-​to-​earth people.

Dr Simon is the best. She remembered us from our exams a Sams Club a previous year. We coincidentally came to her current location because every other office we called was charging $ 60-​$ 150 for contact lens exams. Here we were given a $ 30-​$ 50 range on top of our $ 10 copay for glasses exam. Which was much more reasonable. They were very accommodating and efficient. She was so kind and able to squeeze me unscheduled between my husband’s appointment and her next patient.

In my 50+ years this has been the most pleasant eye doctor appointment I have had. Dr. Simon is awesome! Very thorough and does all the testing herself. She knows eyes!!! Very happy we found this incredible office. It took the last 3 years living in the East Valley but it is worth the wait.

Love this office! You will love the interior decorating, it’s modern, stylish, and chic all at the same time. This office has only been open for about a year. Dr. Karen Simon is so personable and she is top notch on prescriptions! I have been to many offices and she is hands down the best! Jared takes care of the office and is a licensed optician dispenser. He is very professional and I had no problems making an appointment.
Both staff members understand a lot about VSP and EyeMed insurance since they are covered in those networks. Dr. Simon informed me that my prescription was so strong that I qualify for 6 times the allowance from my insurance because my glasses/​contacts are medically necessary. She was able to get me a year supply of daily disposable contacts for astigmatism for nothing out of pocket! Typically my insurance allowance is $ 100.
Save yourself the hassle, see Dr. Simon. My previous optometrist wasted 3 trips and after the third I asked for a refund but was given a mediocre prescription instead. I wish I has known about this office sooner.

This was the best eye exam and prescription I’ve had in years… Everything is so crisp and clear with my new lenses. If you want the best vision possible I strongly recommend using this practice for all your eye care needs.

This place has been opened for less than a year so everything is new and the equipment is top notch. This was the first place I been to that has something newer to replace that machine that blows air in your eye.
The Dr. was very nice and so was the guy in the lobby who does the sales and insurance stuff.
I would give 5 stars but they did not fully understand my benefits and almost shorted me $ 175 worth of coverage. Thankfully the staff was able to call and figure it out.
Also other places I have been have more selection on shades but this was not a deal breaker.
