Wow! I’m so glad that the owner made a public response. To publicly state that you are«glad a potential customer didn’t shop at your establishment», over a disagreement about a Living Social deal, speaks volumes about the culture that you are building with your company. Also, to try and attack my character and ethics on other reviews I’ve posted, is completely uncalled for. I apologize if I wrote anything to offend you, but what I wrote in my review was the honest truth. I stated that your prices were drastically different that other competitors around town– this is nothing new to consumers. Usually, the price discrepancy is coupled with a higher level of customer service, to make your offerings more«valuable» to the consumer– from your response, this is clearly NOT the case. I truly wish you the best in your business endeavors. Maybe try and rectify the situation with an unhappy customer, instead of publicly attacking them. God bless.

Over priced frames. Terrible customer service! I took my Mom here for Mother’s Day as all she wanted was an eye exam and a pair of glasses. My Mom was visiting from Seattle and the exam went really well with the doctor but down hill after that. My Mom and I were assured if she spent $ 800 on a pair of glasses delivering them and adjusting them as needed was no problem. So… we spent the $ 800 and the glasses DONOT work at all. David recommended she purchase a second pair for reading and he would adjust the first pair for everything else. REALLY??? She has since sent them back and he refused the package. $ 800 and no glasses 3 months later. It makes me sick.

Sitting here waiting for the eye doc who is not on time for my 2pm appointment. The guy who checked me in said he was at lunch. It is now 2:10pm and another lady told me he ha a car accident and had to get another rental car and he will be 15 more minutes late. I’m with two kids ages 3&4 and I specifically asked for a morning appointment time so they wouldn’t be with me but this doctor who I saw previously has to do my checkup and he was only available today. I had a follow up scheduled back in July but they cancelled it because the doc had issues with his family. After being HOUNDED about being on time for my appointment I’m sitting here(arriving 5 minutes early) and the doc is late. I have not been happy with this place since I first stepped in. Would not recommend.

This was my first eye exam in about 6 or 7 years. I chose per spectacles because I live right across the street from it. I was extremely impressed by the service. Dave was so friendly and extremely helpful when recommending frames for my face type. The optometrist was very helpful and I look forward to finally being able to see! I would recommend this place to anyone. Also the whole cost of the exam and frames was very low as my insurance covered most of it. Very friendly service overall.

The doctor was friendly, and he seemed to know what he was talking about. The front– desk guy(the one who takes the calls, sets up appointments and stuff… is there an official title for them?) seemed a little rude over the phone, but when I went there, I realized he’s just one of those friendly, I’m-your-neighbor-so-I’m-gonna-treat-you-like-you’re-already-family guys, who doesn’t really get boundaries… but good-hearted and kind. The only reason I took a star off is because they seemed a little overpriced and even though I saw really good quality samples laid out in their bathroom and stuff, they only gave me some crappy brand samples that I couldn’t use because they hurt by eyes. Boo. :(

The optician here was not friendly and spent a lot of time trying to «upsell» me on both the exam and the products. The staff seemed too busy to greet me, though I was the only customer in the store and they failed to call me back as scheduled. I ultimately went to a different eye doctor who said my diagnosis was incorrect and most likely was given because they would make more money off of the products they were selling me. Avoid this place if at all possible. I am not an ex-employee. I am, however, an ex-customer. I’m sorry you(below) disagree with my review, but that was my experience. I provide reviews for service I like and service I don’t, that’s just the impression your store gave me.

To preface this, I have been going to Per Spectacles since they were in their original Ahwatukee location on Warner road, so thats about 16 years. The service in the past was already ok to good, so I kept going. For the past 2 years its terrible and the owner’s attitude is deplorable. For example, I always get contacts and update my glasses. No issues whatsover with the contacts. Last year when they make my lenses some wierd star pattern kept appearing in the lens every time I went to pick it up. This happened three times. David makes an excuse each time. Finally on the 3rd time, he admits there was something going wrong in the process of cutting the lens. Whew, that issue done, however, the left lens had a scratch in it. So now the 4th time making my lenses I go to to pick them up. As Im leaving, David looks at me and goes make sure to put your glasses in the case, dont want any scratches. This was as if to accuse me of scratching my lens the prior time. Now onto this year. I update my lenses again. This time they are perfect, no scratches, nothing. I get back to my car and look at my frames and notice the screw is not totally screwed down. I bring them right back in. David looks at me and goes, not sure how that could have happened to get the wrong screw in there. Turns out now the screw hole is stripped because they tried to fit a larger screw in there. For a customer who has been going to someplace for 16 years and experiences major problems the prior year, dont you think they would do something to make this current situation correct? I ask, I think you should give me a new frame. I didnt cause this issue. The owner sarcastically laughs and goes, Ill give you a discount NOTHANKS. Never, will not go back. The old saying goes, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. After 16 years you have lost a valued customer. Adiós Per Spectactles.

I cannot say enough great things about this place. This will be the only place I get glasses from. I decided to check this place out when I found a groupon. Walking into the store, the staff was friendly and very helpful. They listened to all my concerns about having bad eyesight but needing polycarb lenses(its rare to get glasses with my prescription in polycarb). After ordering frames David told me that if anything happened to come back in and he would take care of me. A few months later the paint started to chip on the frames and before I could get into the store the lens popped right out of my left eye! I called the store and David asked me to come in and we could replace them. I dropped off my glasses and a few days later David called and said that unfortunately the company that he ordered my frames from had filed for bankruptcy and it could take awhile. He offered to switch the glasses out with a different color and if I didn’t like the color that we would just pick out a different pair of glasses in the same price range. Unheard of with most eye glass places. As a graduate student I’m on a tight budget with a groupon I was able to get a wonderful pair of glasses and I am confident if anything happened David would take care of me. Their customer service and quality is unmatched and they now have customer for life.

I was able to check out most of the glasses that they had in the catalog and walked out with 2 new awesome pairs of shades. Great selection, awesome Customer Service. All in all, what I dreamed about but did not expect. My past experiences with eyeglass selections consisted of Sears, Lesco Optical and Wallyworld. Suffice it to say, not very satisfying on the whole process, but cheap enough. Upon entering the store I was greeted immediately and after a small chat, left to browse around. Very nice not to have a shadow while I was trying on frames. I found a pair of Hacketts that called my name. It was like one of those moments you hear about concerning sighting«The One» for the first time… you know… angels singing and all that jazz… Eye exam was great and painless. I asked tons of questions and all were answered satisfactorily. Interesting to note my scrip had changed quite a bit in two and a half years. I was able to read all the lines on the eye chart when we were done! My last eye examiner told me to get as close as possible but not to expect perfection. This guy let me get eagle vision! Wow, what a difference! I can read a street sign 2 blocks away but still read a menu comfortably. The actual checkout was painless. The owner was so nice and he personally fitted the frames to my head. I am particular about not having crooked or off center glasses. I see so many people with slightly askew frames or glasses too high or low on the nose bridge. Mine look great! The prices were a little higher than what I previously paid but the look was killer. I opted for transition lenses for that dreaded AZ sun and the anti scratch coat. I know for a fact that he is cheaper on the designer lines he carries than other walk-in stores. I checked around and looked online also. He will let you bring in frames where you had paid too much and get new lenses cheaper than the place you overpaid at the first time. In short, if he carries the line, he will service you glasses, even if you bought elsewhere. Very Nice! I consider myself a new and long term customer!!!

I recently got my eyes checked by Dr. Perrino(sp?) at Per Spectacles and I thought he did a fabulous job. He took the time to listen to my concerns, and I felt he was very knowledgeable about what he was doing. I purchased my glasses here as well. Not sure if David and I meshed. His style is not for everybody. But I got a nice pair of glasses and I’m very happy. My husband got a great pair as well.

I can’t say enough good about Perspectacles. From the moment you walk in the door the experience is amazing. They can combine their knowledge of head shapes, skin tone matching, recent technological advances in eye wear, current fashion, and your individual goals and tastes to help you find the perfect glasses. The selection is amazing. The staff is as friendly as they are competent. Truly an awesome experience.
