I have been on many dates here bringing them to shows. I had many friends growing up who did musicals and such, and I enjoy seeing old style entertainment in a time where I find myself distracted with tech constantly.

Love this theater, shows have always been spectacular. Would give it five stars but unfortunately tonight’s show was excellent but there was little or no A/C…which was distracting to the great performance being put on because we were all fanning ourselves.

I really loved this theatre! First of all, the lineup of shows they have scheduled every season offers something for everyone. Second, the location in DT Gilbert is fantastic and allows for great options for a before or after show dinner. And finally, I love that this theatre is in the round(or in a square). There isn’t a bad seat in the house. If you enjoy live theatre, this is a must– visit venue!

Loved seeing a Christmas Carol here a month ago. It’s a different viewing experience then originally expected. Nice sound and great performers. Worth seeing a show there again! Do yourself a favor and take the family out for a nice show.

This place is seriously adorable. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. I saw A Christmas Carol and it was great. I was a little skeptical about how they were going to manage putting on a full show in such a small space completely surrounded by audience members, but it was really great. Even my boyfriend(who is totally not into this kind of stuff) had a great time. I am really impressed and I will definitely be back.

I love this place and at every show I’m totally amazed at what the actors and production crew can accomplish in a very cozy venue. The talent here is so impressive and inspiring. There is not a bad seat in the place. If you sit along an aisle or in the front row, you might even feel like your in the show. Enjoy a show here. Better yet, try out one of their season pass deals. This part of Gilbert is a foodie paradise too, so stick around for a meal before or after the show.

Great theatre space. The young blonde lady and the ticket office was great and informative. Intimate and small every seat is good. Seeing Somethings Afoot. The french maid is fantastic! Love her voice. I hear its their first night. A little off key, but funny show.

Bravo! I just saw the production of Tarzan and absolutely loved it. Being that it is one of my favorite Disney movies I was excited to see this interpretation. The cast delivered an amazing performance. My favorite was the actress that plays Kala. She carried so emotion and really made you feel what she was conveying. I can’t wait to see Mary Poppins here!

Fellow Unilocalie Elite Chrissy gifted me with a ticket to join her in the jungle to see Tarzan. Never one to say no to theater and dying to finally see this theater I enthusiastically said yes! Of course I was widely excited to support local, as always. From a local theater to local talent I had a fantastic time sitting in the front row with the gorillas, lizards, spiders, flamingos, and other jungle creatures. This is a very cute, small theater that puts you right in the heart of the action. It was wonderfully decorated to theme and everyone I met was extremely kind and helpful. There are a lot of great eateries right at the theater so no need to drive twice. I was widely surprised how built up this area has become and the high caliber restaurants that are home there now. There is even a Pomos that just opened. Wonderful pizza by the way. Parking is a bit tight around here but there is a large lot behind the theater. I only had two complaints. One is that I live on the other side of town,(insert sad face) and two, they would not allow me under any circumstances to swing the Tarzan rope vine. Sigh, what’s up with that?(Wink) To conclude, the tickets are pretty economical as far as local packages and seats go. Check it out.

Saw a play around Thanksgiving for the last few years and am always impressed at the talent that has found its way to Gilbert, AZ. Very skilled acting and nice cozy feel to the theater. Seating is limited but it is worth the price.

My husband and I recently saw Wizard of Oz at the Hale Center Theater and were blown away! The show was incredible! And the venue was so quaint and personal. We both really enjoyed it and will be returning soon!

Family from around the country came to visit for Christmas. To make memory we decided to see a play. We had all been to A Christmas Carol before and were expecting a pleasant show but nothing special. We were so wrong. We all loved it! Loved the way they worked the circular stage., the acting, the music… We will definitely be back!

I had no idea what to expect, but I was blown away. The venue is surprisingly small, but it means that every seat gives you a great view of the action, the actors are close enough to read their facial expressions, and I was honestly surprised by the number of set changes and how intelligently they made use of the limited space. The venue doesn’t feel as small as it is, once the show starts. The prices are very reasonable, and to be honest I prefer this kind of cozy, intimate setting to the majority of larger theaters I’ve visited. They also recruit very talented local actors, so it’s a great night out to support the local scene. I suppose there’s always some room for improvement, but this place made one great first impression on me. Also found it very endearing for the Christmas Carol production, when the actors went outside to sing carols to everyone as we were leaving. Class act!

Love this place! Situated in cute lil down town Gilbert! I have had soo much fun at every play I have attended! I love the 360 seating, it makes for a very unique experience. The set and costumes are always very creative! The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are amazing. The owners are also very kind and helpful people! If you have not checked out Hale Center Theater– get your tickets fast!- Christmas Carol is coming!!!

What a great way to spend an evening. This was our first time at this location. The seats are 360 around the stage so the acting caters to all directions. The singing was better than I expected, the wigs in the actors were a little cheesy, but it was a fun night. The only negative thing I have to say is that with it being Arizona, the majority of the crowd was geriatric so they would try and whisper but it was really loud. It was a bit distracting but they were having fun so it was easier to overlook. One tip, come early bc parking fills up quickly. There are several restaurants nearby so dinner and then the show is a good idea.

I have now been to 3 shows at the Hale Theater and love it! Huge fan! I am always blown away by the caliber of the performances. They do an amazing job with the space they have. My favorits so far really is the Christmas Carol. The singing and performaces were the best I have seen for this play and I have seen it 4 times and each time was at a much larger venue and this performance blew them all away. And the price… This is a bargain! Really resonably priced night out. They have a Unilocal check in offer for a free beverage at the intermission. Love Unilocal Check in offers! The drinks are reasonably priced even without the offere as well. Parking is a little rough but not horrible. Already have my tickets for Footloose and 9 to 5. Support local theater! Go to Hale Center Theater! You won’t be sorry!

Best local theater I have ever been to. My daughter got us tickets for A Christmas Carol for my birthday. I have previously seen it once at Herberger where we paid a lot more money than this theater. This was just as good if not better. The seating arrangements are great, not a bad seat in the house. I really like how they go up each tier enough that you can see over the person in front of you even when you are as short as me! The actors were amazing, the scenery is fantastic. You really feel immersed in the story. They do such a great job with the small space. There is a check in offer for a free drink at intermission. That was a really nice bonus. We bough some cookies as well. They were fresh and tasty and only $ 2.50 each. The prices are really great for the snacks and drinks. Clean restrooms, nice waiting area while you wait to go in. We will be back for many more shows. Already got tickets for 9 to 5 and Footloose. Great theater!

My middle daughter and I went to the Hale Theater to see the musical Hairspray in July, partly because we love musicals and partly because our cousin Nicole was playing the part of Amber Von Tussle. This theater is sort of in the round, except it’s a square, therefore there is no bad seat in the house. You can see the performance from every angle. Both the scenery and the actors are constantly changing positions to make themselves visible from all sides. The performances were absolutely wonderful, the scenery and costumes were great, and we really enjoyed it. The price is very reasonable, I think it was $ 26 per seat for a totally professional production. I would definitely go back to this theater to see other performances. The best way to order tickets is probably online and I think there was only a dollar fee to do so. Picking up tickets at will-call was easy-peasy At intermission they serve refreshments such as cookies and non-alcoholic drinks. When the performance is over the actors line up in the lobby where you can walk along tell them how much you enjoyed their performances. Parking is plentiful and close. I will definitely be back!
