Dr. Grainger is very good at what he does. He listens well, stays up-to-date on the newest medicines, and treats patients with respect and concern. His office staff is the reason for fewer stars. They do not answer the phone much of the time, so it is especially frustrating to call and be told to leave a message when calling during their business hours. A practice which answers phones less than their stated 5.5 hours a day is a bit ridiculous. Also, instead of multiple lines, this practice has one, so you may get a busy signal when you call, which is very 1991.

While I have been a patient of Dr. Grainger for about 10 years and believe he is a great physician, his front desk staff is TERRIBLE. As other reviewers have stated, the staff at NPOA is unfriendly, unhelpful, and impatient. I’m always stuck waiting, they don’t allow messages on an answering service… the list is endless. I just now opened a bill from them where they didn’t even process my payment through my insurance, they just billed me. I actually dread when I am needing to schedule a follow up appointment because I know the staff will be so awful. It’s a sad thing because the doctors really are fabulous, their office staff are weighing them down.

Dr. Kapoor is a great physician which is why I still stay there. They should do a better job of scheduling. If you aren’t the first appointment you can, and I have, wait up to two hours. I feel that the front desk should book her longer appointments so she can spend that great quality discussion to answer you questions. The last time I was there the front desk said(as I was making my next appointment) to be the first one since she tends to get behind. The front lobby could be a bit more put together(magazines scattered, weird seating arrangements).
