I love going to Buddhist temples ^ _ ^ Since we were already in the area, my bf’s friend wanted to stop by this temple. I was like, «There’s actually a temple in gilroy? Whaat?» :D It’s located on a hill above some farms & wineries; it is quite nice actually. There’s a nice view with plenty of trees for shade to relax during your visit on a sunny day. Although they are still in the process of making some adjustments, it’s still a peaceful place to visit. Judging by the sign in front of the entrance, it is also called the«Bamboo Garden»; there were bamboo plants in sight, but just not much of it. There’s plenty of Buddha statues & plants around also just like most monasteries & temples. Unfortunately we were unable to meet with anyone who was able to greet us during that visit. However we were greeted by another company as we got closer to the front/side of the inner entrance =) The white pooch was a sweetie, just make sure you let him/her smell you first(judging by the flower on her collar I assume it’s a she). If you do get to have a more productive and enlightened visit here, don’t forget to make a donation ;) Tip: Road seems to be shared & rather small, so be very careful when driving up & down.
