Crocker’s Lockers Self Storage of Gilroy

I give this storage facility a ½ star. I placed things in that storage in November of 2008– June 2012. I faithfully paid every month while living in Louisiana. In October of 2011 I was asked by one of the owners if I felt my things were worth it because I had been paying for almost 4 years? I told the gentleman it was worth it to me because those were my things & I would pay until we came to get them. In January of 2012 my husband was working in the Bay Area & we were planning on moving back. He went to check on our things & the lock had been changed. We were then told that people had started cutting locks at different storage places & putting their own on people’s units. Then they would supposedly going back at different times to rob them. Why wasn’t this brought up when I was questioned about the value of my belongings? Why wasn’t this even mentioned prior to him going there if this was really happening? I wasn’t going to Unilocal this business but the more I think about it, no one deserves to be ripped off. Especially by the people you are trusting. They have security cameras but somehow you couldn’t see our unit to see if someone other than my girlfriend checked on our unit. We had a lot of missing items from that unit. This seems like an inside job to me so please be careful of who you decide to pay to «Rip you off!».
