You know what I’m not going to do anymore? Make clever plans and just figure if things don’t work out to be really fun, then at least it will be an adventure. We stayed here as a halfway point from the East Bay going to Hearst Castle. It made our trip a bit more leisurely, but there is nothing remotely adventurey that you can cling to if you stay here. I wish I had done a photo-documentary of the craptastic room we stayed in here. The phone was half taken apart, as though by someone on a meth binge. The sink had a drip, the shower had no pressure. The room was just really grimy and icky. The continental breakfast in the morning? Apparently on their own time. There wasn’t even coffee when we checked out. Only plus– they share a parking lot with In-and-Out. And you can roam the outlets to your little hearts content. But seriously, a divey place to stay.

The family that maintains this location tries to keep it clean. But, this place definitely needs a renovation. We came here because it was the lowest rate from Garlicfest. Obviously, we got what we paid for. We got a large room, clean sheets, and convenient parking. Our room came with a king bed, dresser, side tables, mini fridge, desk with two chairs, and plenty of legroom. They only had smoking rooms, so it took us 30 mins. to air out… or, maybe we just got use to it. The sheets smell like they were drowned in bleach, which is a more comforting than other smells that it could have had. The a/c took a while to kick in and was the face of the unit was kept up with tape. But, that wasn’t the only surprise. We found wet towels in fridge.(So, we kept that shut.) There is a pool enclosed by a covered fence; we didn’t try that either.
