Closes at 7:30 but stops blending drinks at 6:45 what BS. Because already cleaned the blenders so they can get out right at 7:30.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Don’t bother coming here. They’ve run out of boba multiple times I’ve been. My parents just came back from this place 10 minutes ago and had whole ice cubes in their snow bubbles. I tried calling 5 times to let them know about the poorly made drinks and none of their three workers my parents stated that were just there answered the phone. Work on your blending skills and your inventory, TapEx.

Don’t come here. They’re stuff is broke so no popcorn chicken and they don’t even have regular size tapioca. On top of that, there was hair in the drink. Wtf. No need to say anymore. Don’t waste your money.

YESBOBAFIXRESOLVED! The wait and perennial low stocked green tea/regular large honey boba is a precedent case. Not the express service I’d hope. So if you are in a hurry skrrrt, think twice before swerving over. Since this is the only boba spot I know in Gilroy I can tolerate. Practice patience and sip tea haha.

This place makes and sells a good drink. It’s the only thing(of all the food stuffs they sell) that I go here for. I like everything about this place EXCEPT I can’t walk in this establishment(which I have done many times) without inhaling a strong objectionable burning oil/food smell that quite literally has me running for the door! The people here are friendly. Parking is excellent. Prices are above average. The three stars is mostly for the fact the smell in here is so bad that I’m running for the door to escape it AND if I’m in here for more than four minutes, my clothes reek of that smell upon exiting the front door. Otherwise, I would give them(4) four stars.

This shop baits you in with cheaper drink prices on the menu board then when you pay, it’s more than what the menu says. I ordered a cappuccino snow and a mango snow. The listed price is $ 3.75 and $ 3.25, respectively. When I paid, the receipt said that the Capp drink was $ 4.15 and the mango drink was $ 4.10, and these are the small size! Id hate to find out how much the large sizes would cost! When I asked why the prices are different than what’s listed, I was told the owner just raised the prices. The right thing they should’ve done was honor the prices on the menu board until they can be updated on the board. As for the taste — both were cloyingly sweet and very runny. I expected a smoothie consistency and not a milk tea. My recommendation is go elsewhere — it’s cheaper at King Eggroll and it doesn’t smell like paint and rancid frying oil there like it did at Tapioca Express.

Tapioca express is ANYTHINGBUT express. 30 minutes for a smoothie? That’s just ridiculous. Drink was mediocre. I’ll take care of my boba needs elsewhere from now on.

Always a great stopover whenever I head into Gilroy. Love that it barely gets busy & that I get my drink fast & quick. Though they need to lower down the music a bit. But great place overall for my tapioca fix!

We stopped here for 2 milk teas, and we ended up leaving 15 minutes later with nothing. After we paid they told us they had run out of the sesame milk tea so we had to change the order. I asked for a hot milk tea that isn’t sweet, but they can’t do that. We also recieved an ice cold super sweet almond milk tea instead of the less sweet hot almond milk tea that we had asked for. We asked for a refund and left empty handed.

This Tapioca Express was conveniently located next to the restaurant we ate at. The restaurant also offered bubble tea but since I saw Tapioca Express was right next door, I decided to wait it out and go there after. The restaurant was well-maintained and there wasn’t a lot of people. I waited about 5 minutes for my drink. I got the apple green tea with boba and it tastes kind of weird at first but I got used to it.

I’ve been to lots of boba places all over the bay area. I used to think this place was a decent stop about a year ago for a quick milk tea fix on my way to the central valley. HOWEVER, recently they’ve been making their milk teas horribly, horribly concentrated. Like concentrated to the point where it’s undrinkable. I ordered a honeydew milk tea recently at this place on two occasions now, and I automatically spit out the first sip and threw both away. It was awful. Completely awful. It was like a mouthful of that flavoring syrup they use. Do NOT stop by this location. Or at least try your milk tea at this location first before you leave. I’ve learned my lesson, haha. This place need to change before their clientele leaves for good.

What happened to this place??? The TapEx in San Jose puts this place to utter shame. My honeydew milk tea looks brown and way too sweet. The girl at the counter had no customer service skills what so ever. No greeting, no eye contact. She was watching the movie on the TV. When I tell her I’m ready to order her response was«uh huh…» Sad. Really sad.

This place has really gone under. *DONOTWASTEYOURMONEY* Here is why: No more music plays while I stand in line with random people and then as I wait far too long for my drink. The manager really needs to get his/her act together ASAP. The weather is getting hotter so of course this place is going to be getting a lot of customers. Also it seems they also ran out of EVERY popular drink ingredient. I walk up to the counter and there is a sign that says they ran out of 5+ things! And then there was tapioca balls on the list yet it was scribbled out so a boba place that doesnt always have boba. Yeah you truly care about your business. I just got my drink and it is so watered down I will never be going back here again. Mind you I use to always come here for my boba drinks but guess I must spend my money elsewhere.

While on my way home from a mini vacation where I was able to indulge in yummy milk teas, I was craving another on my way home. I did a quick search on Unilocal and this place popped up while on my route home. The previous day I had had an amazing drink from a place in the San Jose area and that was the reason for my need to get one before heading home. I had seen a fellow Unilocalers review and was kind of hesitant. They had mentioned that there was only one employee and the wait was long… I should have heeded that warning. I didn’t think that the wait time would be a big deal since it was a Monday evening, close to closing time and there was virtually nobody there. From the minute I walked in, I was dripping with sweat from every single orifice in my body. I felt like I was Kurt Russell in the movie Back Draft. I decided to stick it out and place my order since there was only 1 other person in line in front of me, I thought it would go quick… oh how wrong I was. There was only 1 employee working. She was the judge, jury and executioner. I stood there and waited for the person in front of me to be waited on, then the employee stepped away to make their drinks. I kept standing there and still nothing… by this time about 5 plus minutes had passed, no lie. The people in front of me ordered several drinks so it took a while. Finally, it was my turn. The employee was nice but you could def tell that she was frustrated. I do have to say that for the wait and heat that the drinks were good. I ordered the Strawberry Yogurt drink and not only did it look great, it tasted great!!! It had a great flavor combo, part tangy from the yogurt and sweet from the strawberries. The other drink that was ordered was the Caramel MIlk Tea… this drink was just ok. I didn’t have an actual ‘complaint’ about the drink except for the fact that it tasted nothing like Caramel, but had more of a raisin flavor. It was just really weird to have a caramel drink that tasted like RAISINS. While I was waiting for my drink, I had to go use the restroom and wring the sweat out of my clothes. Once I got in I realized that there was no toilet paper and the restroom was filthy. There were some decorations in the restroom that had about an inch of dust on them. The walls were dirty and in need of a good wipe down. I think the owners really need to get more people working there, at least 2 at all times and do some much needed spring cleaning. I wont completely rule them out because the Strawberry Yogurt was so good, but I might go to one of their other locations next time.

Solid tapex spot with standard milk tea drinks, well cooked boba(could be sweeter), but a limited set of toppings than most places. The Thai Snow Bubble is surprisingly delicious give it a try!

Solid drinks here and fresh chewy boba — my strawberry banana smoothie(made with fresh fruit!) was delish! I’d highly recommend it – the drink was well blended and thick and the strawberry to banana ratio was perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the boba was too. As my previous review indicates, there’s oft just one or two employees on duty(they always seem to be hiring) so drinks can take awhile to come out. The employees are nice though. Today I was the only customer in line today so my drink came out quickly(though it did cost me $ 4.65.). They don’t use the plastic sealed lids at this franchise, at least not on my drink anyway. Standard Tapex décor. Decent boba for the South South Bay!

I want to give this place 3 stars at least, but from reading the previous reviews, it seems nothing has changed with this place being understaffed. Came here on a Saturday evening, and they literally only had 1 person working the whole time. To be fair, the guy working was busting his ass getting the orders, and making the drinks, and he did a good job of it, but I don’t understand how management here cannot have more employees working, especially when it’s getting hot. The guy working already seemed frustrated, I think at either having no help with the incoming rush, or cause of our cheap asses not giving him tips(Sorry breh, me no cash, me only carry credit card OK?) Also, a lot of the different jellies were marked off, and it looked as if they have ran out for a while. Other than that, the drinks tasted fine. My Mango Shaved ice was good, only wish they used more fresh Mango, instead of small slices of it. Verde Tea, still is the best at it, in my opinion.

I have no idea how anything tastes — still waiting on our order… 24 people waiting and 1 person working: making drinks, food and working the register. Crazy for a Saturday.
