I’ve been a fan of Gilroy Antiques since I was introduced to it a couple of years ago and not only am I a huge fan of the store, but equally so of the wonderful and delightful owner of the store, Gracie. She is treasure in and of herself, and one should feel fortunate to make her acquaintance. I know I am!!!

I just went into this store with my girlfriend to look for gloves and from the moment we walked in the doorway, I had a bad feeling about the store. We watched three people walking out of the store looking visibly upset, and that was the first red flag. When we approached the counter, she didn’t greet us in any way. She stared at us with a vacant stare, as if it were improper of two young adults to enter an antique store. My girlfriend asked the lady, «excuse, do you guys have any gloves for sale here?». Without so much as answering the question, the rude old woman said, «can I tell you something, as a mother? The way you just addressed me is very rude and forward. I’m not a guy, I’m a girl.» To this, my girlfriend replied with, «I’m sorry, I meant you guys as in the store.» She was then cut off as the old woman interjected «I’m the only one in this store.» At that point, I had had enough. I put my arm around my girlfriend and said «we’re done here.» And we walked out.
Not only have I never been addressed in such an aggressively rude way in my life, but I’ve also never experienced worse customer service. But perhaps through fate, we left still needing gloves, and came to the antique store down the street. The two ladies that worked there were super sweet and friendly, and above that helpful. Not only did we find the gloves we needed, we also purchased a cute little 60’s Disneyland candy dish for a super fair price. Basically, if you want someone to make you hate antiques and little old ladies, go to Gilroy antiques. If I could give this place negative stars, I wouldn’t hesitate.

Nice, but not my style of antiques. I was filled mainly with china and jewelry. A little to foo-​foo.

I came in here to buy something and the lady OWNER was rude and had no personality. they do have nice stuff in here but come on Lady SMILE if u want bussiness

Gilroy Antiques is treat. Gracie offers beautiful finds, great prices, and always a good story or two. Plus the store has good juju. It’s undeniably a must see in Gilroy.

My fiancé and I absolutely love Gilroy Antiques just as much as we love the owner, Gracie. She is wonderful — we love stopping by her shop and chatting with her!
There are so many great finds & treasures at Gilroy Antiques — and she has such great prices. We always find the most amazing things here, including my wedding band! :) What I also love is that the space feels open and clean, it is also very well lit and always has great classical music playing.
Her shop is open every day the first 20 days of every month.

This is by far my favorite Antique Store in Gilroy… or anywhere! The owner of this store is very nice, and nearly everything in the store was brought in by her. That means no crowded booths of rickety bookshelves full of fragile items that you’re nearly guaranteed to bump into. Everything is well laid out; easy to get a close look at. And, if you’re lucky, the owner will tell you a cool story about how she got the item you’re buying.
There’s a good variety of antiques here, but I think her jewelry collection is probably most notable, as it is bigger and better organized than any other antique place I’ve been to around here.
Definitely check this place out! You’ll get lost in there for hours.
