Stopped by today because I was craving a jumbo jack … paid with my card and happily enjoyed my food. 3 hours later I stop for gas and no card … I don’t recall her handing it back at all. It would be sitting right here… haven’t gotten out of car. That’s ok… I’ll just call them. Well their phone is disconnected … call another one and confirm the phone number and yep … it’s disconnected! Ask the girl at another jack… only way to get card is be there in person … well I’m now 3 hours away with NOGAS and regretting stopping for the jumbo jack!!! Wish this place had good employees like they did a few years back … now it seems they always screw up something! This time I’m getting stranded 3 hours away!!!

This place is close to my house so when I’m craving tacos late night, this is the place I’m going for sure. But I must say that it is a little frustrating when this location gets your order wrong often. There isn’t many employees that have been here long. So you usually get messed up orders and always speak with someone different. But the upside to that is they will always make it right. Sometimes you get an extra drink or tacos to make up for it. I love me some free food! LOL I always get the two tacos for $ 1, you can’t beat that price anywhere! And the sourdough jack. Yummy. It has beef with Monterey jack cheese and becon. The sourdough bread doesn’t taste very sour at all which is perfect for me because I normally don’t eat it. And tomato of course. The curly fries here can get expensive but are totally worth it. They also offer cheesecake that is tasty if you like cheesecake. This place was remodeled a few years back so it’s nice and very clean. The bathrooms are huge too. Although there is only 1 per sex. Sometimes they have the TV on which keeps you busy while eating. They also have a breakfast bar! It faces the street which is better than a wall I guess. But unfortunately the area isn’t nice to look at. Before across the street there was a thrift store but now it’s just an empty lot with a mechanic shop next to it. Well when your on the corner of a four way light it gives you plenty of movement to watch… The jumbo Jacks here are a little slimy but the breakfast sandwiches here are delicious. I recommend the ham and cheese crisont. So fluffy and yummy. And cheap too. I think they have two for $ 5 right now. Sweet. My kids love the breakfast burritos. It has eggs sausage and cheese. I’d rather have the breakfast burritos from Mc Donalds though. But the tortillas are better at jack in the box. They don’t get hard after $ 10 min. Since my kids are little they eat slow. So I found out the hard way. No pun intended.

Cheap low quality food that somehow tastes okay(maybe it’s just the ranch dressing and bacon that tasted good :-)

The store is small, but the prices are low. I come here for the churros and sourdough jacks. Drive-through is probably a better bet.

Jack In The Box at First and Saint Joseph’s! For some reason Unilocal doesn’t have a category for«fast food» so I’m calling it Ethnic since, I’d call it Mexican-American emphasis on American since it’s strong on burgers and American breakfast foods or at least attenuated versions thereof. I went there today. I was playing the game, «What if I’m utterly broke?» It’s easy when you’re *nearly* utterly broke. I got 4 of the two for a dollah tacos, and you know what? Those things are GOOD! Served up with extra taco sauce(it’s already in dere) and a fat wad of napkins, it’s nice when people I don’t even know anticipate my table manners. I had to wait a bit, because they were actually frying the deadly little things up! Man, they were delicious! Just the right blend of crispy and tender, I could have eaten 6 of them, or even … 8? Does anyone spend a whole $ 4 on lunch? I was asked if I wanted fries, and started to order a bag, then found the fries would cost as much as my primary objective: tacos. No, thanks, maybe next time. I also ordered a cup of ice water. Now, half the fun here is the people-watching. This particular Jack is located at the center of the Gilroy«of modest income» Universe. The people-watching here can be sublime. But I was probably too early; it was about noon. As a member of the jobless, I know, noon is a perfectly good time to tip out of bed, and that makes perhaps two in the afternoon a proper time to make an appearance. Thus, no interesting people-watching. Just watching the pretty shiny SUVs going by. I’m reminded of how, in the last Depression, that of the 1930s, everyone’s remembered as having the neato swoopy cars, well, those are the cars everyone bought in the Roaring 20s. In ’15, those same, perhaps slightly less shiny, cars will be on the road from time to time. Jack toofer dollah tacos: I have no idea what’s in ‘em, they’re GOOD. Go eat ‘em in Gilroy in the afternoon.
