I cannot say enough. I’m rating food and service. I’ve been here A handful of times passing through when traveling and I have yet to be disappointed. We recently took a group of soccer players here on a tourney weekend. Called ahead for a table and arrived within 10 minutes and we had our seating reserved (on a busy Sunday). For was AH-​MAY-​ZING (I know how to spell AMAZING) it was that good! Everyone was talking about the food the entire day and prices, perfect combo!
Try it, you won’t be disappointed!
UPDATE: we went again because the food was that good, it kept us craving it. This time took more family and left pretty disappointed. It could have just been a bad day. So out of the five stars I initially rates this place, I’m reducing it to four.

My new favorite chips and salsa!!! Too bad it is 3 hours from home): Service was fast and very friendly… bathrooms were clean and stocked with the necessities. My family and I were all beyond pleased with our meals.
Hubby had the two chicken enchiladas, rice, beans, and Horchata… great flavors. I had a chili rellano, asada taco, rice and beans. The chili rellano was full of cheesy goodness and all components were in perfect ratio to one another. My taco included a homemade corn tortilla that was unforgettably yummy. 9 and 3 year olds both had a Little Plate of asada, rice, and beans… neither finished it, but only because they got full.
Very easy to get to off of the 101! We will definitely make this a stop to and from our annual trip to San Fran!

The best Mexican food in Gilroy or Morgan Hill.
I used to work around the corner & would spend way too much of my paycheck eating lunch here. It is seriously delicious. I’m really picky about Mexican food, and this place is killer. And super authentic. I love huevos rancheros & breakfast burritos and Los Perricos nails both, as well as everything else I’ve ever eaten here.
I don’t live in Gilroy, but I come to Perricos every time I come to Gilroy.

We were looking for a good «mom and pop» Mexican restaurant in Gilroy when my wife noticed this one on a side street. It’s a smallish store-​front restaurant and taqueria with about a dozen tables and take out service. Food is prepared behind a counter visible to the customer. The restaurant is simple but very clean and neat.
The menu is a fairly large one with traditional California-​style Mexican food — dinner platters with beans, rice and salad and a large selection of entrees. I had the carnitas and my wife the chili verde. Both excellent! Home-​made chips and salsa were also excellent.
Prices are under $ 10.00 overall and aqua fresca and fruta’s are available in additional to domestic and inported beers and soft drinks.
The staff is very friendly and helpful and very concerned that the customer is satisfied in all ways.
We’ll definitely be back and would recommend Los Perkos to anyone looking for good, basic Mexican food. Give it a try!
