My Fiancé and I came in on 3÷12÷2016 around 7:30pm and had gathered some items for our upcoming engagement party, one being a $ 65 lit marquee that read«Mr. & Mrs». When arriving to the cash wrap we were told that it was not part of the 40% sale items, after discussing it quickly whether or not to purchase anyway, we decided to purchase at it’s full non-discounted price. The cashier however was kind enough to have one of the associates go run and check the pricing to be sure that it wasn’t in fact mislabeled. Sure enough, the marquee was mislabeled as part of the 40% sale. I was so appreciated when the associate confirmed the mislabeling and the cashier then honored the discount anyway. I just wanted to say thank you for being honest about it, and thank you for putting the customer first even when we would have taken it at full price anyway. We appreciated the honesty!

I didn’t think it was possible, but… guess what, Michaels in Gilroy has been demoted from 2 stars to 1. This is supposed to be a craft store, is it not? Then why for all that is green & fuzzy were 5 employees did know what macramé is? 3 of those 5 also couldn’t tell me what crochet was. If you’re going to run a craft store, please… make sure your staff is at least partially familiar with what they’re trying to peddle. There are reasons why storefronts go out of business, and I can tell you this is one. I figured that enough time had passed that I’d give it another shot. It just looks like things aren’t any better… and in some cases, worse. I won’t even bother any more.

CUSTOMERSERVICEISHORRIBLE from the new employees to the main manager! I will NOT go back to this Michaels!!! If I could give 0 starts, I would! I used to go into this store weekly and I’ve never had the kind of service I had on Sunday 12÷5÷15, I had to deal with a «new employee» that was incompetent, then I dealt with a employee that made sure to tell me she’s been there for over 3 years and she could help me. When I told her what I was looking for she looked at me very confused and said I don’t know what you’re talking about… Then I spoke to the manager and she was telling me I didn’t know what I wanted when the florist is the one who told me what it was called. After asking for the top manager I told her I didn’t appreciate her employees laughing at me. They need MORETRAINING! RUDE! RUDE! RUDEEMPLOYEES! Except the florist she was very sweet!

My sister went in after we just had her baby shower this weekend. She had left over stuff that wasn’t used so she went to return it. The Manager Eden Portugal was very rude and said she would not be giving her store credit due to not having a receipt! After carefully reading the return policy there was no legitimate reason to turn away the return. My sister called corporate and they said that returns can be made as long a valid ID is present which my sister did have. I totally feel like she discriminated against her as if she were committing retail fraud like another review stated. This behavior by a store manager is beyond unprofessional. Your better off going to hobby lobby in Morgan Hill.

I rated this Michael’s about average. I took my lil sis to this store so that she could get what she needed for a concert. She wanted to get some bling letters but some of the letters were missing. When we got to the check stand, the cashier seems to be depressed. The rating would of had a 4 if the place was better organized.

This review is for the Framing Department only. RIght before Thanksgiving, I placed 2 orders for a 16×20 and 11×14 frames of priceless artwork. Suzanna was very helpful and patient, when I was with her at the counter. She helped confirm the design and gave me various options to consider. She was able to do a mock of the final product on the computer quickly and altered sizes and glass without question. She was very polite, and I felt like I was the most important person at that time. Yes, there were a few people waiting, but you do not want to rush the final decision and not be happy. I went to Michael’s when I had time to spare and ready to make a final decision They were completed 3 days before the due date, so I was able to show family from out of town. Guess I got lucky :) I was very happy with the«museum like» glass because it gets uplighting. Seems like there is no glass at all. Worth the little price increase. The reason I did not give a 5 out of 5 stars is due to pricing. Without the 60% off then 10% additional, it would have been a few hundred dollars. Save your coupons and watch the weekly ads for cheaper custom framing.

This store had terrible customer service. Not only did the employees have no idea where I could find the things I needed, they had no interest in helping. I didn’t find what I needed and stood in line only to not be given the sale price of one of the items I decided to buy. & again the employee was not helpful at all.

I love the selection that the store has, although they don’t have fabric. Customer service is not so great. Associates are constantly walking by you, and do not greet you or ask if you need any help. My fiancé asked where acrylic paint sealer was and an associate pointed him to an aisle and we had to find it ourselves(mind you it wasn’t even on the aisle they told us it would be). I found it rather rude that they didn’t walk us to the aisle or help us find it. On another visit I searched for twine or some kind of rope to make a garland for my wedding, I was on the phone with my fiancé and I had finally found an associate(after many had passed by and neglected to assist me). I told my fiancé that I had to go because I found an associate.(I was about 4ft away) I’m sure she heard me, and she darted away from me. I saw her in the store later and again she was avoiding me. ?? So strange. Lines are always long. I like the merchandise dislike the service. Hobby lobby is where it’s at.

I have been doing a lot of shopping for my wedding lately, and had difficulty finding the perfect red rose to make topiaries with. When I finally found a red rose that I loved, there was a limited amount at the Michael’s store near my house in Marina. I purchased every last one that I found, and then had the cashier call the other stores to see if they had any more in stock. WIth my luck, the Michael’s in Morgan Hill had 98 more roses! The customer service I experienced with the staff on the phone, and in person was excellent. They offered to have the roses brought to the Michael’s near my house so that I did not have to drive all the way up to Morgan Hill to pick them up. It was such fast service, the roses arrived the very next day. The manager and staff were helpful, clear, and efficient in working together to solve my dilemma. I am so grateful for this pleasant experience with both Michael’s stores!!! Thank you!

I visited this store last night to pick up some items for a baby shower. I had a very positive experience with the cashier, her name was Stacy I believe. She was just an overall kind person who was sweet to my daughters and delivered amazing customer service! Great job, Stacy! Oh, please start selling waters. preferably Aquafina! LOL

I love Michael’s — crafting haven, frames, fun baking stuff, etc. etc. this store lacks though… The employees are not at all helpful. For me crafting(and Michaels) are overwhelming, I come here for specific needs and usually need help finding things. It’s hard to even find an employee here, then when you do they are impatient or cannot give you advice. It’s happened over and over. So lame!

They have a lot of craft supplies. That being said half the people that work there have 0 idea where they are, or what you’re talking about. I have found items after being told«no I don’t think we have that» They do however have a 40% off coupon almost every week so if you need a big ticket item then you can save big! If you know what you want or are browsing for whatever then you’re good. If you don’t know where something is you may have to ask several people. The lines could be sped up a good deal they usually take longer than I would think they should

Looking for stuff for a last second school project? Are you looking for some cheap home décor? Are you in need of some art supplies? Are you interested in knitting? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, this place would probably be for you. If your a guy that just answered yes to the last question… thats just fine. Prices are the same compared to Hobby Lobby so you never have to worry about checking prices. Michaels does have a consistent, weekly coupon of 40%. Make sure to always check online for a coupon. However, I cant give this store a full 5 stars. My reason being is because they dont carry enough toy model supplies. It forces me to drive to Hobby Lobby for those needs. Also when its super busy, the line for the cashier can take god damn forever.

Pretty average for a craft store. They lack in a couple areas: not enough employees(every time I go, there are 10 people in line and 1 cashier), & their carts are too small. Otherwise, it’s the only place in Gilroy that I can get what I need for my business and personal crafts. They have a great selection in each aisle.

Good selection and the service is fine. Sometimes it can be a little bit hard to find what you’re looking for, and employees are helpful but sometimes sparse. It’s definitely the best place in Gilroy to get specific craft supplies.

My new hang out… I went this weekend & I die for this place. There’s something for everyone & they have everything imaginable for crafts & painting etc. They have rows of scrap book items, scrap booking paper the largest sticker inventory I’ve ever seen(or ever want to) fake flowers, frames, paints & a ton of paint brushes, beads & jewelry items, decorations for every season & holiday, planting pots, tons of science project ideas, decorative boxes, AND a whole aisle of COOKINGSTUFF. Me loves the cheetah & zebra cupcake foils! This place is cute. if your bored you’ll find something in here that will keep ya busy. Or if you have school dioramas & projects.
