The sushi was ok. Prices were really high. Restaurant was crowded. They have a full bar. That area of Gilroy is a little too hood for my liking.

Wow! What a huge improvement this place has made. They have added some new rolls and they are amazing! I forget the name of the roll we ordered with the scallops in the middle… but it was ABSOLUTELYFABULOUS! Great service. Very fresh, delicious food! Wonderful dinner tonight!

Sat for ten minutes while bartender ignored us and seemed annoyed. No one greeted us or anything so we walked out. Bartender saw us but just continued chatting away to some people at the bar. Restaurant was not even busy. The one person we talked to was rude too. Go to Ten Japan instead and don’t waste your time.

They have greatly improved on their customer service and we are back to going to them! Some things to try: kim’s special, zoom zoom, stuffed jalapeños. And we always get the Yammy yam roll and add cream cheese. They now have ice cream macaroons. To put it simply they are bomb. And we have tried sushi from a lot of places in the bay area. This has got to be in our top five.

Number 1 place I love Ninja I go to a lot of sushi places but they have the best chicken and their fire fighter, and Santa Rosa roll are my fave. The servers are great as well I’ve been coming here for years.

Ninja sushi is a great restaurant/sports bar combo. As the name suggests they serve a wide range of sushi favorites and they even have a sushi bar you can sit at if you like. Not a fan of sushi? There’s still something here for you — beef teriyaki, egg rolls, tempura — all delicious. My only ‘complaint’ is a small one but it’s a pet peeve of mine: Sodas are served in cans with a glass of ice and of course that means no refills. Plus the cans are usually not very cool so the ice melts fast and leaves you with a watery mess. With a full bar in the restaurant there’s no excuse for not having a soda fountain. All in all this is a great place to eat and if you aren’t a soda drinker it’s probably worth that fifth star. For me though if they want that extra star they’ll have to up their Soda game :)

Well we decided to give it another shot. Food as always was good, still not thrilled about the service. The waitress was very nice and did a great job when she was able to come by our table. We could tell that they were understaffed and she was the only waitress in the dining room. I definitely would recommend the food… just not sold on the service. I however will keep going because of the good sushi.

There were plenty of options to choose from but it was just pretty basic. The fish was cut way too thick. Very hard to enjoy

I came here once. NEVERAGAIN. Our server was so rude. She didn’t make eye contact with us and brought us the wrong drinks. I ordered the chicken teriyaki which for some reason took so long to be brought to our table. Even the people next to us who got there after us got their food before us. When I finally got my chicken it was cold and hard. And I didn’t have utensils. Our server was avoiding us for some reason so we had to walk up to a different employee to ask for some. Our server never came back to bring us our check. We were sitting there for almost 30 minutes after we finished waiting for it to be brought. We had to go up to the host station and pay up there.

Place does not have non rice alternatives. Will not make accommodations. Do not go here if you need carb free as ALL dishes have rice. No vegetarian options unless you want to pay $ 5 for steamed bagged edamame. Even with suggestions they will point you out the door to the other sushi place in town that does have those options.

I’ve been coming to this place for years and I’m impressed how fast it has grown and expanded. After all, this was the only sushi joint in the Gilroy area for a while, so of course all the locals love it. The service is decent and friendly and the place itself is clean. Great bar area too! The food is good and at a reasonable price. Recommendations: –Anything nigiri. The slices are beyond generous and I love how there’s a little dab of wasabi between the fish and rice. –Sake Tempura roll –SF Giants roll –The Volcano roll –Unagi Speacial #2 Paired with a cold Sapporo, hot sake or wine and ENJOY!

I really like this place. The food is fresh and hot. The servers are fast and very caring. They have huge cups for drinks so you don’t have to ask for refills that often. The bar is a nice looking one with three tvs and cool displays for their achol. This place is a great traditional sushi place!

Was in the area for work and was craving for some sushi. Saw the sign so I thought why not. Immediately as I walked in I was greeted by a friendly staff. The staff was very attentive and quick to take my order and quick to bring my food. First started off with the Gilroy roll. Wasn’t very impressed and was ready to leave then I thought let me try one more roll. Behold the kitchen sink! You have to have to have this roll. It is a little on the pricey side however it is worth every bite and a good healthy portion. I definitely will be back when I’m in the Gilroy area!

Good service as always. Been coming here to ninja sushi for a long time and I’ve always thought the service and food was great. the reason I can’t give this place a 5 stars because of the price. I paid 17 $ for a dam bento box lol but its all good

Poor Service… We waited 1hr for our Food mind you there was only one Server. The server maybe came by once to ask us how we are doing. On the positive side. Food was good, good portions.

If you compare Ninja Sushi to SJ’s Japantown, go somewhere else. You’ll do nothing but make bitter comparisons on how everything at Ninja Sushi is not as satisfying. Ninja Sushi’s 2-item bento boxes ranges from 11.95 up to 13.95 and they give you less than what you may be accustomed to in Japantown. The sashimi comes with 3 thin little slices of tuna. I can demolish each in one bite. The chicken teriyaki was stale and crunchy. It could have used a little more sauce but I like everything with more sauce. The service is wonderful though. Everyone including the chefs greets and bids you farewell. The restaurant is clean so it’s perfect for a more intimate lunch or dinner.
