After being or should I say not being treated by another rheume for Sjogrens. I became really sick this last year. Switched to Dr. P and diagnosed me with SLE Lupus and Fibromalygia. Spent majority of the year in hospital and heavily medicated. She was very supportive, understanding and has great bedside manners. She really makes you feel that things will get better. She has an explanation for every symptom that you are having and how to treat it. What I find both good and bad about her is that she is honest. She will not sugar coat anything, she will tell you what to expect even if it is not what you wanted to hear but gives you hope of continuing to live even if it is not the way you plan to. Of course my case is more severe but big or small she is very considerate. She was referred by a friend of mine that went through something similar. I am glad I listened to her. Her office is a bit retro but comfortable. Also, really hard to get appt. or to re-schedule. Sometimes waiting can be a headache. I have had an appt. and waited an hour to get called in. She is really good about calling back with any concerns the sameday except on Fridays. She is off on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Need refill, you will need to wait till Monday. If you gone through several Rheumatologist that have the worst attitude, give her a chance. She is the best one that I have met, yet.

(3÷8÷2010) Okay, first of all, the months of waiting for an appointment were annoying and painful. However, I adore Dr. Papillion so much I don’t care about the wait. I have fibromyalgia, and found her through a fibro website. She is compassionate, understanding, and simply GETS this disease/syndrome. She’s extremely personable, makes the appointments fun, and worth it. Fibromites, if you’re having trouble with your diagnosis or your doctors, give her a call! (3÷2÷2011) I’m switching insurance groups to find another doctor. I’m already sick of having to wait 3 months for an appointment, and cannot handle the lack of help while I’m screaming in pain and unable to take care of my kid. While she has been attempting to manage my fibro, she is also ignoring and denying my flares and expecting me to just live with them and ignore them as well. She has stated that if I got treatment, I wouldn’t get the flares. Well… totally not true. I hurt, and I hurt bad. Her office staff is, however, amazing. The Doctor also returns calls personally within the day. She seems to be a great doctor if she likes you, and my last appointment was socially enjoyable… but the bottom line is I’m not getting the treatment that I need, and it appears that I am unable to get that treatment from her.
