By far the BEST pizza in Gilroy! Entire pies or by the slice. Fresh ingredients roasted garlic adds authentic flair to the pies. Great service, very fast. Bada boom bada bing in and out and on your way home to enjoy your pie.

So me and my family came to gilroy from out of town and decided to eat here since the reviews looked good. As soon as we got here I walked in with my family and we got stared at like we weren’t supposed to be there and I asked the lady if their was a problem and she said no. So, we stood there looking at the menu and the lady proceeds to tell me that the pizzas are not to be eaten there but only for take out which I found BS because their were benches everywhere to sit and eat and it wasn’t due to close for another 3 more hours. I had 3 small children with me from out out town and this lady thought eating a large pizza in the car with flimsy plates was going to do the trick? I don’t think so. It was a whole waste of time coming here. If you have children don’t even bother going here or they will send you out to eat in your car!

Best pizza I ever had. I’ve been passing by this restaurant for the last 30 years and am now really kicking myself for trying the place out when the proprietor is trying to retire! Last night, not wanting another disappointment from«my pizza» and not wanting to drive to San Jose, I decided to give Pinocchio #2 a try. I never did before because Pinocchio #1 was a bad experience. But now I know they aren’t the same. I ordered a Hawaiian pizza, and the pizza was about a $ 20 for a large which is probably one of the most economical pizzas I ever had to be so memorable. I’ve had pizzas twice the cost of that and it was just a big mess. The quality is very good. The sauce was perfect, the amount of cheese and topping ratio. There was this dried herb that was sprinkles over. I noticed the cheese… Tastes like real cheese! And when I picked up a slice, the slice was very heavy, all the toppings didn’t slide off the dough! It was a perfect perfect pie. One last thing, the dough must have a lot of love in it because, when I just had pizza for breakfast, the crust was not hard like stale bread. It was slightly more chewy than when I had it last night. I’ve never had that. Please don’t retire.

Just found out that this absolutely FANTASTIC family and locally owned shop for 30 years has been attacked by the loser lodging ANOTHER complaint in a 2nd attempt to profit financially as a vicious, angry, thieving, and unscrupulous, «disabled» man. My limited empathy for his condition, whatever it is — is mitigated by my contempt for terrorizing this family. He, as less than a community person, and his ridiculous complaint, must be recognized widely and publicly as an embarrassment to a nation of disabled Americans and certainly by his local government, and he be identified as as a coward — to say personally that he is a money hungry thief, or a coward isn’t enough. You are personally at fault for taking away a beloved icon of Gilroy. Shame on you. Wonder how you sleep at night. Hope from now on, if not already, not well.

Tony’s Favorite & meatball, pepperoni, and onion calzone. We order that whenever people come to visit CA… and whenever we want great pizza! Only complaint is they are not open on Sun or Mon.

Yummy crust no lie. It is legit with the sauce marinara. Topping are awesome because they don’t taste old! Italian sausage it my favorite. If you aren’t not scared and like weird taste. Order a calzone with jalapeño and Italian sausage add pineapples! Customer service is awesome.

I grew up in Saugerties NY as a child and always remember the great pizza we had there from the 3rd to 7th grades. Then we moved to Maryland and had great pizza there too. Love East coast pizza! I have to say Pinnochios has great pizza too. Just had a medium Pepperoni and sausage last night and it was perfection! Thanks Pinnochios #2!

They have the best calzone in town!!! Ordered a half Hawaiian and combination was good. Fresh ingredients and good taste. I personally like a thicker crust but I will be back. Better than the chains, and I like supporting the local businesses.

How do I give 10 stars? First time here and met owner. What a great sincere, honest man trying to do it the right way. You local people need to support this business. Pinoccio has a fantastic product. We ordered med. Vegie with double pepperoni and hands down best pizza ever. Might be a different twist from the commercial garbage your used too but ya got to appreciate his quality product for a great price.

I normally don’t like cheese pizza, but I became a convert after trying theirs for the first time. Shortly after, it became a weekly ritual to order a large cheese pizza from these guys and share it with my friends.

Never have I ate a piece of pizza in the car while driving home from getting take out. This stuff is that good!!! First time here as we new to the area. Best pizza we have ever had hands down. Thinner Crust with great flavor and sauce were delish. Cheese was top notch and of gooey goodness. Ingredients were very fresh and there was plenty scattered throughout. They don’t skimp. The only complaint from my husband and kid was that I didn’t order larges. I was going to take a piece or two to the neighbor and they said, «No way — every man for himself.» Wish they said this about my cooking. Two mediums were gone in less than 15 mins. I know this will be our go to for pizza from now only. Pinocchio’s thanks for creating a great pizza!

The pizza was AMAZING!!! It was our first time and we came from Hollister BC of the reviews. Getting a family of 5 to agree on a pizza isn’t easy. It also wasn’t fun feeling rushed to eat. As we are deciding on a pizza we are told to hurry up bc the cut off to order is a few mins away. But it seemed as soon as we got our pizza the lights started being turned off. We didn’t want them to stay late(BC I hate when people do that at my job) nor did I want to be asked to leave(BC it wouldn’t surprise me if they did) so we scarffed down our food. That part wasn’t hard BCOMG the pizza was AMAZING! HAHA I might get take and bake for now on BC I don’t have options to come any earlier then 8 due to my commute and I don’t wanna feel rushed or bad for eating my food. BUTTHEPIZZAWASAMAZING!!!

More than dough, sauce, cheese and toppings, everything here is made from scratch with love by artisan hands, in a brick oven! And if you’re by yourself and can’t eat a whole pizza you can get a slice(made to order). They also serve salads, sodas, beer and wine. Again, by the bottle, glass, pitcher, draft or can, and they offer a good variety. No pastas or desserts, but that can be good if you are trying to cut down on the calories The pizzeria is owned and run by a family — Mom, Dad, and sons, and they live in the property. As perfect Italians, they close after lunch for a good nap, and reopen at 4:00PM, closing again at 9:00PM. Again, like it is back home, they don’t open on Sundays or Mondays, which days I crave their pizzas the most ! I’ve been experimenting with different flavors, including a cheeseless pizza(pizza bianca). I still have to try their«Take-N-Bake» option, which will most likely be good as well. It’s definitely worth the drive, the money and the calories

One of the reasons I love Unilocal is that if I find myself in an unfamiliar town, let’s say Gilroy, and the kids are demanding pizza — I can simply fire up my Unilocal app and access several pizza joints. With not just ratings and recommendations but also much more relevant details like whether the place is kid-friendly or not — which the limited(and likely kickback-laden) restaurant list that the hotel front desk offers simply cannot provide. So we found ourselves at Pinocchio #2 just down the street from our hotel, hungry but determined to eat out rather than in our hotel room. Squeezing into one of the three parking spots(we later found out folks park at the liquor store lot next door without fear of getting towed) we found a table inside, settled down and walked up to the counter, only to be told by the polite and friendly-looking lady manning it that it would be a 50-minute wait. «On a Thursday evening?» I Unilocaled(no pun intended). «Yes, we are unusually busy tonight,» she said apologetically. After a quick conference, my wife and I decided to brave the wait — and within minutes, our two-year old started to throw the type of tantrum they teach toddlers in tantrum class — screams, kicks, the whole embarrassing lot — and we found ourselves in exactly the kind of situation which compelled us to make sure the place was«kid-friendly» to begin with! We were able to calm her down eventually(chocolate helps), but the happy outcome was that our pizza was ready in about 30 minutes! And what a magnificent piece of pie art that was — half chewy and delicious cheese, half chicken, pesto and the softest yummiest garlic cloves ever to grace a pizza pie(fitting, I suppose, since Gilroy is the garlic capital of the world). This pizza was so good we all ate in silence, and the chocolate bribe was left half eaten! And we got so much quantity, having ordered the large, that we had plenty of leftovers — which tasted equally amazing the next afternoon, and the following morning! So if you find yourself in an unfamiliar town, do not despair — just fire up your Unilocal app, and be open to whatever delicious and unexpected culinary surprises it may have to offer.

Pinocchio #2 is a casual family pizza joint. Order at the window, add a soft drink or beer if you like(two on tap). Cards accepted. The pizza? Hot, decently made but with a crust that’s lacking flavor and texture. All in all, an A-OK place in a small town. The roundup: Food: 3 — Name’s Italian, but not the crust! Service: 3 — Counter service that’s quick. Setting: 3 — Ample seating, and clean. Value: 3 — You can do worse. Date worthy: 2 — you can’t be serious.

Found Pinocchio’s in Down town Gilroy on Unilocal after a long days drive. We checked into our motel( ) and sped off to get some pie for weary travelers. We walked in to an almost empty joint so I was a little apprehensive about the outcome of our meal but my concerns were soon put to rest when we were heartily greeted by the staff. I also noticed that they had a pretty decent bottled beer selection. so we were off to a good start! FOOD Ordered: We ordered a large Tonys Favorite. Italian sausage, Pepperoni, Roasted Garlic with jalapenos on half A 4.5****Star pie in my books! We inhaled this bad boy quick! The fresh roasted garlic on this pie is what set’s it off! Why is it I have to go to Gilroy to get me some tasty garlic laden pie? Something about the cheese they use, buffalo milk Bacio Cheese that adds to the flavor and does not leave it too«greasy» like similar pies I’ve eaten elsewhere. Though the girls were full my son and I loved it so much we wasted no time in ordering another pie. This time it was a Meat Lovers affair. Pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, linguica(Portuguese sausage) and of course some more jalapenos to top it off. We finished half but were happily eating it on the road the next day. Tony’s Favorite kicks ass and so does the Meat Lovers pie. While waiting on our first pie. You got to wait a few as all are hand tossed. We dreamed up a game. «Count the Pinocchio’s» They got that little wooden dude everywhere, walls ceiling, pictures, kitchen etc.
My little one counted 34 but I believe there are more. This is a small joint. But its very clean. The staff are über nice and the pies were great nice crust and solid toppings! Plus the price is right. This place wont bust your bank. I give this place a 4.5****Star rating for the food & service. Can’t wait to return to try the calzone, and some of the other pies! So if you are in Gilroy give Pinocchio’s a try you’ll be happy you did!
