The star rating was for the customer service of the two workers(Brittany and Jessica) who helped me out thirty minutes until closing time. These two ladies were so respectful and helpful. They stayed open for an extra hour just to help me find a last minute outfit for my cousin and I. Both of the employees helped me look for clothing options that were actually in my size, which saved me time(because I was in a huge rush for time). They also recommended I follow the store’s Instagram account @gilroyrue21 which constantly offers coupon codes. And I was more than glad to because, there was a 30% off coupon that I was able to apply on my huge clothing haul.

One of the worst clothing stores I have shopped at. Worst meaning cheaply made clothing and accessories. I understand Rue 21 is geared towards the preteen crowd, but are preteens going to wear thongs with glitter stars, tall wedges OR skimpy Halloween outfits(coach outfit with a zipper that goes down to the naval or a firefighter outfit with bootie shorts)?? All those items made me think twice. I came in recently with my friends 12 y/o daughter. She was raving about the $ 9.99 perfume before we entered the store. Oh boy, this place is set up like a teenagers room(I doubt it was on purpose, lol); clothes thrown everywhere. The deal breaker was when I bought a necklace, and it broke later that evening! I screamed«NOMORECHEAPSTORES!». $ 7 for a necklace but it only lasted 5 hours. I was pissed. But I guess that’s what you get for a store that is only found in outlet malls or shopping centers in hick towns(ex: Los Banos).

i really think this store is the bomb. when you walk in the store, there is a fragrance that smells really good. i found this place when i was walking pass through. i saw a sign that said«SALE». i was really surprised that the clothes were really cheap! there was a lot of deals going on the racks. the clothes that were folded was on regular price. it was really disapointing that it was really on a regular price tag. i wanted to buy the perfume, i didn’t really look at the perfume. but when i got home i went on line and searched. the perfume were $ 10 and i wanted to buy it so bad. when i clicked on it, it did not let you buy it. i thought it would be really great if they would had let people shop on line at home.

I’m slightly embarrassed to admit that I really like this store. I always find something fun and it’s always super cheap. Sure, the store is fairly disorganized but some of the stuff is really, legitimately cute! I found one of my favorite linen tops, fun sleep t-shirts, belly-button rings, a fun sundress, and more. I bet I’ll keep coming back here until I’m at least 30!!!

Clusterf*ck of a store. Cheapie clothes, more geared towards the younger age demograhic than for adults. I’m sure if I had patience to dig through all the racks, I’d have found great deals… but unfortunately, my claustrophobia started to kick in.

So I am going to chime in with Yvonne. Found a super cute skull bag for cheapy cheapy! They have decent sweats which aren’t hoochie(chino sweats are amazing) that say norcal… oh yes. This place is not for the weak hearted or claustrophobic. It is super small and they cram cram cram stuff from ceiling to floor. you have to dig around like ur going to the pulga to find the sizes you want.

Rue 21 reminds me of Forever 21, but for tweens. My 10 year old had a great time shopping for accessories here. The sale prices are ridiculous(in a good way). Some of the great deals we found were: $ 1.00 belts, $ 2.00 necklaces, and different colored dots on tags for deeper discounts. I even found a cute necklace for myself for $ 2.00! The store is pretty crowded with stuff, and some things look like they have been sitting there for a while, but the sales associates were helpful –and you can’t beat those prices!
