This winery is the BEST in the South Bay! The wine is so good, and the winery grounds are beautiful. They have bocce ball courts, a nice grass lawn to picinic on with tables set around, and a nice wine tasting room. I would highly recommend the chardonnay and the cote de madonne, for you white wine lovers, and the pinot nior and charbono for red wine people. You really cant go wrong here. My family are wine club members here and have been for last few years. The staff is always so accommodating and friendly. We have help several birthday parties and family parties here in the nice lawn area, and it has always been a day to remember. Keep up the good work Sarah’s, and thank you for being so family friendly and making DELICIOUS wines!

Fill my glass up! Best winery in south county hands down! Steve, Meghan, and the Sarah’s staff always make my husband, fur baby, and I feel welcome whenever we visit. Its our favorite wine destination for weekend picnics, a game of bocce, and of corse the wine! If you have time to picnic, it is well worth it. They also have their Summer Music Series — FUN! Sarah’s is a hidden gem right in our backyard. If you’re in the area wine tasting, Sarah’s is a must stop!

Not sure what happened. Wine was subpar today. Merlot was like a glass of pepper and they’ve jacked up the tasting fee. Pinot was the only palatable tasting today. Doubt we’ll be back. Pity. Had such a nice memory.

$ 10 for 5 tasting. Politely request the cab tasting and you just might be able to. :)

The wines are soooo good(complex yet buttery and drinkable) that I signed up for their wine club. I like their wines more than the ~10 other wineries I’ve been to in the Morgan Hill/Gilory area over the past year. It’s also a cozy wine room with good staff, and cute outdoor area. We live close so plan on taking advantage of as many tastings as possible! Can’t wait for the next shipment!

Had a great time today. Enjoyed the knowledge and expertise that Megan brought to our tasting. She took the time to explore the wines with us, while sharing about some of the history of both the wines and the winery. I look forward to going back!

My sister-in-law and I walked in and we’re not greeted. That’s fine, they were busy. We made our way to a barrel/table and were ignored for a few minutes. We were finally greeted by Aaron(hardly a greeting, no «how’s it going?» Just a «are you here to taste?») who said«we’ll be starting with our Chardonnay» before passing us a menu. The menu wasn’t to our taste, we prefer big, bold reds(Zins and Cabs) while they are a Pinot winery. That being said, we are open to finding something we like that we wouldn’t normally try. We asked if there was anything not on the menu to try and Aaron said«for that you’ll have to go somewhere else.» It was incredibly rude. So that’s just what we did. We went up to the man behind the counter and told him that we had only tried the Chardonnay and would like to pay for the tasting. He seemed shocked that we didn’t like it(sir, it was the service) but he didn’t charge us. He then recommended a few places that may be more our speed. On top of all of that, the place is so noisy, you can’t have a conversation. I know they can’t control the clients but I have never been in such a noisy tasting room in my life! Overall poor experience and Aaron needs to get over himself.

This place never disappoints. I particularly enjoy the Cote de Madonne, a great GSM blend with rare Rhone varietals from the property. The vineyard is kid friendly and has a great space for relaxing or playing Bocce ball. The Sommelier, Megan is a pleasant addition to your tasting experience. Her exuberant smile will light up any day, and her knowledge of wine is easily expressed as she is ready to answer all your questions and needs at every moment. Spend some time with Megan and you will be in disbelief the wine knowledge you will obtain, all the while the enjoying her infectious laugh. The Manager, Steve, is also always ready to serve. He always greets with a smile and ensures you have he best tasting experience possible.

I just became a member at Sarah’s Vineyard because the wine is delicious and the setting is beautiful. They also accommodated us for my cousins small wedding shower without us having to pay a fee. The service is superb compared to other tasting rooms. The outside picnic area is perfect for grabbing a bottle of wine and having some snacks. I would definitely suggest becoming a member here because of all the great perks, free wine tasting, Friday night music and great staff.

I still like this place. Maybe a little more than before. We usually pass the tastings and just get a bottle. I love sitting outside with my glass of wine. We noticed a few changes from last time we were here. They added a shade structure on the porch and I noticed they are providing doggy bags. It goes to show that they really are dog friendly. We didn’t have ours with us this trip but he loves to come here because he can run free. I remember the wines being a bit drier than I like. This time we got a zin that was quite fruity. It could be that my tastes are maturing. We will be back soon. The Friday Sunset Music Series starts up in a couple of weeks and It is a great way to start the weekend.

This place is beautiful. Being able to wine taste just feet from the vineyards and looking up to beautiful hills is simply awesome. The grounds are well kept, perfect for a picnic. The actual wines are so-so. The Pinot is fine, but that’s about it. If you’re looking for a place to spend your Saturday, this is it, even though your pallet won’t completely agree. I’ve been a member for about a year. It is a wonderful venue for tasting wine with friends. The wines are very good with a good price point($-$$.) I loved their Viognier and the Cote de Madone. Service is excellent. They are all very knowledgeable and very professional. The ambiance is clean, upscale and warm. The woody interior reminds you of upscale old world charm. Outside venue is warm and inviting with many tables and seating areas. We have enjoyed several lovely picnics overlooking the flowers at the nursery next door and the rolling hills in the distance. If you have time to picnic, it is well worth it. We brought a picnic, but they do sell meat and cheese and itallian sodas if you don’t have one with you. Wine tasting is free to members and up to 3 guests. $ 5 if you aren’t a member. We sat on the patio in back for one visit and had wine tasting brought to us! Each time the server came out he gave us information on the new pour as if it were a private wine tasting. I haven’t had the chance to hear the bands they have on the member wine pick-up parties, but they sound marvelous and I’ve heard good things from other members. Another thing we liked was that it’s dog friendly.

Sarah’s Vineyard is one of my summer’s favorite spots for the Friday night music, food and wine events. It’s fun to come with friends and unwind from the week together on the lawn, watching the sunset and listening to the music with a glass of delicious wine. Sarah’s is known for their great pinot noir. It’s a low key, local vibe vineyard.

Nestled along Hecker Pass just outside of Gilroy, Sarah’s Vineyard was always a favorite for their Chardonnays but this trip was for their Rhone style wines. A charming escape, and to avoid the certain, usual needy weekend crowds — make the trek during mid-week so you can actually study and savor the wines. The Grenache Blanc and Rhone Red blend were top notch, and the limited production Cab Sav was a special treat. Excellent service with a fine touch of history and knowledge — one of very few places I’ve been where the discussion turns to Picpoul Blanc.

What a lovely winery! My best friend has been a Gilroy resident for the past three years but has never toured the local wineries. So being the good friend that I am, I needed to help her correct this straight away. Sarah’s was our first stop but we never made it to any others, we enjoyed the tasting so much that we purchased a bottle of their Viognier and some cheese and crackers and found nice comfortable chairs outside to lounge in. We loved all of their wines. My particular favorites were the Chardonnay and the Old Vine Zinfandel. Steve was our pourer and he was great, very friendly and knowledgeable and just fun to chat with. We had a great time. We are both very interested in becoming wine members sometime. All of their bottles are very reasonably priced. I ended up purchasing a bottle of the Chardonnay and will be back for the Zinfandel, it was delicious! We’ll be back soon!
