I’ve been here on a Sunday and tried their menudo. It was very good, tasty but what completed it. It was those homemade corn tortillas. also shrimp quesadillas are yummy..

I’m not sure what happened with this place?! It used to be great; good breakfast, good lunch/dinner, great service… not anymore. Went for breakfast today. I ordered machaca con huevo(shredded beef with scrambled eggs). It was about 5 min to get drinks, not bad since there were only 4 other people in the whole place. After over 20 minutes… yes 20 minutes… My dish comes and it is full of shredded white meat with bell peppers mixed in. I asked the waitress what type of meat was on my plate, and she says«chicken. We don’t do beef machaca anymore.» So first of all machaca IS shredded beef, not shredded meat. Second, a lil heads up that what I was ordering was not even closed to what I was going to get. The person I was with got chilaquiles that came totally soggy and the scrambled eggs were not fully cooked. I give 2 stars because they had the soccer game on, they delivered drinks quickly and the place is clean.

Wow, I can’t believe I’ve lived in Gilroy for so long and never tried this place. I’m so glad I finally did. It is the best Mexican restaurant in town. Everything is super fresh and the flavors are fantastic. It’s better than homemade. This will be my go to place from now on.

No arguing they have some great chavelas, but their service was horrible. I asked for a shrimp a la pendejada appetizer to share with friends and 45 minutes later got a plate with 7 over cooked shrimp with rice and beans and it was luke warm. I specifically pointed to what I wanted to order as I said it to the waitress. I was very disappointed in the service considering they were not extremely busy and the time it took to get my food.. We had to keep asking for refills and they took their time. I will most likely not return. My friend has a restaurant down the street, Mariscos Puerto Vallarta with better service and food.

Wow. I believe this was the best Mexican food I’ve had in 15 years living in California. We asked the waitress for a recommendation from a few options we favored, and in the end we both had camarones(shrimp). My wife had it grilled, and with a mild spicy grill basting sauce. Very yummy. I had a platter, which included tortillas, rice, beans & salad, and had the shrimp + green chili wrapped in bacon. Yes! The service was slightly slow to start with, and the water refills were also slightly slow. But the friendliness and nice attitude of the waitress more than made up for it, and we gladly left a generous tip. The small delays quickly faded into insignificance. We will definitely go back to try some other dishes, or to have more of the yummy shrimp dishes!

This is our second time here, we love sea food and love to eat out. My husband asked for fish tostadas de ceviche and the fish was bad, smelled and tasted bad. I got the 7 mares seafood soup, the shrimp was bad, there was a tiny bit of fish and it tasted bad as well, nothing was fresh, it tasted like it had been left outside the refrigerator for a long time and gone bad. I just ate the carrots and celery on the soup and a couple of shrimp. The service was horrible, the server did not have a smile until she gave us the check. The wait times to take your order, bring the food and check are also pretty bad. I had a similar experience here before, but gave them another chance, but never again will I come back here.

In town from Fresno, Ca for husbands work. We’re huge seafood fanatics and have tried Marisco restaurants all up and down California. We googled seafood restaurants im Gilroy and this popped up. Reviews were good so we said what the heck why not. This is by far the best seafood I’ve ever had! So many unique dishes I couldn’t make up my mind, went with the red aguachiles mixtos and a shrimp ceviche tostada. And decided on trying some«Balazos»! Best choice ever! They’re basically clamato shots with Tajin and an oyster at the bottom of the shot glass… needless to say we had 6 of them! Very good prices cheapest I’ve ever seen and lots of food is served, our waitress was so nice and helpful and very attentive. Will definitely make the hour and a half trip to eat here again!

So happy to be in Gilroy & visit my favorite Mexican restaurant. The menu is completely authentic. Wish I can eat everything on the menu. From seafood to pupusas. The menu has endless delicious food, everything is appetizing. I especially love their gorditas stuffed with carne asada. The pupusas are also my favorite. My girlfriends always order the seafood tostadas. Everything is very affordable.

This place serves delicious Michaladas, they are so yummy! I love that their tacos are made with hand made tortillas, the only thing I’m not crazy about is the fact the there’s no dessert on the menu and on Friday nights their karaōke band has their speakers on way too loud. Overall pretty tasty place though!

Came here expecting it to be a different restaurant, but turns out it was under new management and name. Anyways we were kind of bummed but it was an hour drive over there, so he decided to give it a try. And OMG… The food was sooo delicous. My boyfriend got the carne asada tacos which the tortilla was hand made and the meat was juicy and tender. Really good. We also got the fresh oyters and with a squeeze of lime, tapatio, and a sprinkle of salt and you’re set. At last the dish that made my day, Camarones Sarrandiados. I’ve never tasted shrimp like this and let me tell you I was in love at first bite. The shrimp was on a bed of cucumbers and tomatoes with some lime wedges on the side. The shrimp was grilled, was well seasoned, tender, and juicy. I don’t know what else they put on them but they’re really good. Made me happy =)

First of all the food was outstanding, authentic mexican food hand made made tortillas and fresh salsa’s are very good. Service is a little lacking seemed like the servers didn’t want to be there. They didn’t offer drinks when we sat down and no refills on dringks or chips and salsa were offered. If you like Mexican music they always seen to have something going on. If the service wasn’t so poor I would give this place 4 stars
