Don’t even consider going. The owner was very unprofessional and rude. made falafel sandwich very unappealing. Not sure why this place is still running.

I can’t think of one negative about this place. Couscous has the best gyros in Kansas City. Their lamb comes in the long, shaved pieces from the rotisserie. That’s not something you find a lot of in the area. I’d argue that their falafels are the best I’ve ever had. The service has always been incredible. We usually come up here for a weekday lunch and haven’t tried the buffet on the weekend yet. We will definitely be regular customers as long as they’re open!

Very happy with the buffet. The spanakopoita is good, and the mint tea a special treat. Process aren’t bad.

There was nothing absolutely terrible or absolutely great about this one. The restaurant needs a little TLC, the buffet seemed a little tiny and standard and the gyros were pretty typical. Service was friendly and the portions for the combo meals were good. The spicy fries weren’t very enjoyable.

Enjoyed the buffet dinner with family. The hummus salad bar is fresh and tasty. I am addicted to the lentil soup and gyro meat. Love the food and will be back.

Decent arabic food although overpriced. Probably because they dont get much business… gotta make profit right? The food was good, not the best, but good. Would come back again when i get cravings :)

My wife and I just went today for lunch and loved it. I ordered the Lamb Shawarma and it was perfect. Good size too; had a hard time trying to finish my sides. Also, the hummus was very good and, of course, had a nice glob of chili sauce. My wife ordered the falafel sandwich and she too loved it. I will have to say, it was some of the best falafel I have ever had; much better than other Mediterranean restaurants I enjoy in OP. You will have to get past the«hand-me-down» look of the place; e.g. the tables are very old and are all different, as with most of the chairs. But that does not bother me a bit; the food is amazing. This was our second time there and we need to fit it in more often and support a local business.

Great food! Tastes exactly like the real thing. I lived there for 6 years and it is great. Service isn’t American but that’s culture. Give it a try

My wife, daughter and I were looking for something new and found this. My wife had heard that it was good and my daughter had said that she had seen the lobby at lunch time and it was packed. We went about 6:30pm for dinner. We walked in and the guy behind the counter said«grab a menu and find a seat». Evidently, he was the only employee in the place because it took a long time for him to wait on tables. I wish the service was better because quite frankly, I think this is a great place to eat! Authentic Moroccan music was playing and the tables were far enough apart to give a relaxing dining experience. Ambiance, great! Service, bad. Not bad in the sense that it was bad service, just not attentive enough. Food — Great! The one thing that I was upset by was that after we sat and had ordered drinks, when the waiter/owner/cook/busboy came to take our order the THEN told us that they were out of lamb! Seriously? A Gyro without lamb? He did come back a few minutes later and said that he had enough for one or two dishes, but not all. We ordered and the food was good! I would even say exceptional. If he can work out the employee thing, it will be a great restaurant to go to!

Went in with a friend and tried the lunch buffet. I was pleasantly surprised. It is a small bigger, one salad table, two hot dish tables, and some soup. Everything is served with plastic plates which was pretty weird. The place is small and the ambience isn’t the greatest but the food was pretty good. Some of it fell behind but it had some good highlights. The two best things were the gyro meat and the chicken. I don’t know what the chicken was called but it was honestly one of the best chicken dishes I have ever had. It was addicting! You can use the buffet to make your own gyros so it’s basically all you can eat gyros as well. Everything else was kind of lacking and dull but those two menu items alone were good and very filling. Biggest disappointment was after I gave the groupon the waiter basically scammed us. I had a $ 20 voucher for food that I paid $ 10 for, boyfriend ordered iced tea but they gave him the free tea that’s included with the buffet and put ice in it for him. I ordered water. Two buffets for 10 – 12(I forget the exact price) should have only cost us a few bucks. I think he ended up charging us $ 12 with no receipt. It was like paying full price. No groupon if not more expensive since I paid for the groupon too. Really disappointed with that :( Overall, go for the chicken and gyro meat. Or take out.

The gyros were awesome and they also have a buffet(Im not sure if its all day wveryday or not) But it looked good to, The service was great ! When we walked through the door the server greeted and walked us through the buffet, and then proceeded to take us to the table. We received our food and then all of the sudden the place was packed. It took us a long time to get our check because it seemed like they only had one server that I saw… other than that it was great!:)

A hidden gem. Torn between letting everyone else know about this place and saving it for myself. Hard to find authentic Moroccan food that uses quality ingredients. Buffet was great and reasonably priced. Best dolmas we’ve had. Fish very tasty as were gyros. Moroccan mint tea refreshing over ice. Place is not fancy but lots of Moroccan flare. Service fast and friendly– like the fact the owner always present.

I agree with pervious reviews regarding the atmosphere, it’s not much to be desired. The food on the other hand is rather delicious and a great price. I had the buffet, which I’m not all that sure it’s worth it due to the lack of variety, of course they had your standards like; falafel(which was fresh, delicious, and packed with flavor, rice, gyro meat, lentil soup and a few other standard side dish and oddly french fries that I wouldn’t dare to eat. Howver, their options for main dish were very limited(like 2) and only included chicken. The buffet was mostly side dishes, and appetizers. That being said it was still good. I’m so come back, not only because the food was good. It was also fresh, they boast having farm fresh food and it definitely taste like it. BEWARE: Olives in salad bar have pits.

Ordered the sample dip platter, gyro & the Royal Kabob meal. Hummus is good(not incredible), gyro meat is very tasty & enough to feed 2. The kabob meal was huge & the chicken was the tastiest, followed by the chunks of lamb(not as tasty as gyro meat) & the beef meatballs tasted awful. Nothing to bring me back. Nothing tastes fresh & the service was a joke. One server for the entire Resturant & positive he was also the one other cook in the resturant. We had to pull silverware from another table & refill our own drinks. If you even want to give this place a try, just order it to go! I’m sticking with 54th Street Grill’s Gyro– so much tastier!

I had purchased a Groupon for this restaurant, and decided to order carry out. I called and placed my order, and the person on the phone said it would be 30 minutes. That seemed like a long time to make two gyros and two appetizers, but I waited and showed up 30 minutes later. I walked in and they asked me if I had already ordered — and THEN began making my food(I could see them assembling the gyros). I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they weren’t busy at all. I got home and started eating… the gyros were huge, but the meat was very, very greasy. I had to throw away the falafel and the hummus — the falafel had grease dripping from it, but wasn’t cooked all the way through, and the hummus was watery and had no flavor. I’m really not one to complain, but it was pretty awful. I will definitely not go back.

Excellent Saturday buffet. Fresh build your own gyros and lots Moroccan dishes. Legit mint green tea. Pitas come from the kitchen fresh by request.

I love Mediterranean food but was very disappointed. Ordered a gyros chicken platter. Rice was very dry, humus lacked flavor and the chicken was chunky and a little dry. Tried it, didn’t like it, won’t be back.

The only reason why we came to this place was because of Groupon. When we first pulled up we were a bit apprehensive since the restaurant sign looked cheap and store front appearance was very unappealing. We walked inside and immediately thought this was a bad decision. As we sat down we thought our stomaches were in for it. The place was very poorly decorated and although the dining area massive, there were very few seating. The décor was horrible! They really need to update. However, when our food arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The spinach pie was very good, but could have done without all the spinach topping. The falafel was mediocre and was a bit over fried. The hummus was just ok and the pita wasn’t anything to write home about. The gyros that we ordered were massive. So much that we had to take them home. Plenty of chicken and lamb for lunch tomorrow. Our waitress was very attentive, but one of the starters came at the same time as the entrée. No big deal. Overall the price was good value for the huge portions, probably a bit too much to be honest. We probably will come back.

Cute little intimate restaurant with delicious foods. A buffet is available for lunch at a very reasonable price. I opted for the veggie platter which included yellow rice, falafel, dolmas, pita bread, and salad. Moroccan mint tea was nice and warm, perfect for a day of snow. A tray of bavakla which I resisted(miracles do happen). So happy to find this place.
